The Curious Case of Shelton Benjamin Button

Hawkeye

Getting Noticed By Management
First off, I didn't know where to put this so i just threw it in the bar room.

Shelton Benjamin. Many say he was a naturally gifted athlete but had so so mic skills. My question to you guys, is that if he knew this, and refused to work on it and get better, should we be questioning his release from the WWE? I'm pretty sure there's times where he can practice in a mirror or with the guys backstage(there's a ton of em back there that get no screen time just like him + road agents who are in most cases HOFers or highly praised in the ring) and maybe this is a little farfetched but, perhaps he could have asked for mic time at a live event or house show to get more realistic practice in? Are there things he could have done to prevent this,IF it indeed was the cause of his release?

There is an entire Spam Section where this could have went. IT IS CALLED THE WRESTLING SPAM ZONE! You just didn't take the time to actually look.

Not as bad as Mickie's but it seemed like people were shocked that he did get released

i was reading that british dude's article on the main page and disagreed completely so i just wanted to ask you guys and see what the general consensus was

He came from a very poor background and the money he was making in the position he was in he was more than happy with. He chose to coast along in WWE.

Mic time? Remeber the last major time he had mic time? He went racist as fuck on Yoshi tatsu

Giving Shelton Benjamin more mic time would've applied another layer of fail on the already failing fail that is Shelton Fail.. wait.. Benjamin.

Actually, the last time he had mic time was during his run to become ECW Champion and he actually did well then.

nice, Ferbian.

I kinda figured he wasn't trying so I couldn't figure out why anyone would protest his release

Why did this thread title make me laugh? It wasn't even that funny.

Anyway, yeah, he's gone. Sucks. Whatever.

I agree with the OP. Shelton had a really bad work ethic and his in ring skills werent enough to compensate. I would've released him too despite how awesome he was. Hopefully when he goes down to TNA, he'll stop being so lazy.
