The Crazy Chick Is Back

Jack-Hammer

YOU WILL RESPECT MY AUTHORITAH!!!!
At last night's TLC ppv, AJ Lee reverted to the unpredictable "crazy chick" that ultimately helped make her a stand out in WWE this year. During Cena's match with Dolph Ziggler, Vickie Guerrero came out and threatened Cena but AJ came down and took her out. As Cena was about to climb the ladder, AJ tipped the ladder over causing Cena to hit the ropes, only for Ziggler to pop up and deliver a superkick to take Cena out of the match. AJ did her wild glare at Ziggler for a bit before smiling and skipping out of the ring.

I think we've all expected AJ to go back to this aspect of her character before long. It's been building when you take into account all the "shots" Vickie & Ziggler have taken at her by saying that she becomes obsessed with every guy that pays her the slightest bit of attention. It'll be interesting to see how they follow this up.

My first instinct is to think that AJ & Ziggler will be the new heel "power couple" in the WWE. It'll give AJ a high profile spot in helping Ziggler continue to gain momentum as we head toward WrestleMania. If it plays out, I wonder if they'll go with the notion of AJ deciding that Ziggler was right when he called her "weak" and "pathetic". Maybe she came to that realization and saw an opportunity to make an impact of her own.

Love the fact that you used the term 'heel power couple'. Despite the fact that when they enter the arena tonight, BOTH of them will get bigger cheers than John Cena.

I should point out, I am not that I'm taking a dig at you personally, I'm taking a dig at WWE and their logic in general

I've been thinking that this heel turn would come eventually, and honestly have wondered if it was Ziggler's room that AJ was going into in those videos that Vickie was providing as video evidence of AJ and Cena having an affair? Personally I think that is what is going to happen, and Dolph will dump Vickie as his "manager," if that is what she still is?

In hindsight, it seems a heel turn was obvious, but all you folks who think WWE is completely predictable ought to appreciate what the writers have been doing with AJ since she came into prominence.

From week to week, we had no idea which direction she was heading. Except for the brief, unfortunate time she functioned as general manager of Raw, she's been totally unpredictable in her "romantic preferences." From the innocent, blameless girlfriend of Daniel Bryan (who wound up getting blamed anyway) she began functioning as an unlikely aggressor in her dealings with a bunch of confused, often unwilling guys.

She seemed to detest Dolph Ziggler and love John Cena.....until last night. But don't presume she'll now be Dolph's love interest.....maybe she will, maybe not.

Plus, is AJ planning to take Dolph away from Vickie and move against her.....or will she join with her and carry on a sort of weird threesome?

We don't know the answers to any of this. We'll keep guessing....and that's exactly what we should be doing.

Predictable? Nope.

There is one concern I have if Dolph does in fact ditch Vicki. She draws heat like no other, something Dolph, frankly does a poor job of.

With AJ you have no idea. Tonight on Raw she could come out and say she pushed Cena off the ladder because her final act as Raw GM was to secure him one last WWE title shot, and he is getting that shot tonight. AJ is if anything, unpredictable.

I'm looking at this in a completely different light. I don't think she'll end up with Dolph, or Cena, or anyone else romantically.

She did what she did tonight to be her own woman.

You've been so alone your entire life that when someone pays you a little attention, you glom onto them and make them your entire world. Where does that leave you? Huh? Where does that leave you? At the end of the day you're back all by yourself, all alone. Desperate, Pathetic. And every time someone disappoints you, you lose a piece of your pride.

And now you're nothing more than a shell of a woman. - Dolph Ziggler

When Dolph said this to AJ, he meant to berate her and make her feel like crap. However, I think Dolph unintentionally inspired her, and that she knows he was right. I mean, granted, he's still an asshole so this doesn't mean she likes him. That's not the point.

The point is that Dolph Ziggler was right. She's afraid of being alone, and she latches on to a love interest. She needed the attention, and so she took the abuse in every bad relationship she's been in just to get it.

With this being said, that brings me to John Cena. Now, before I go on, I'm going to say that if I'm right about where this AJ storyline is going, then it'll reflect John Cena in a bit of a negative light for a little while. When John Cena made out with AJ Lee, it wasn't out of affection, it was to make a point to Vickie and shove her scandal in her face. AJ, still being as emotionally detached as she was, saw it as an act of love, and so she assumed that they were in a relationship immediately.

Thanks to what Dolph said to her, she began to see things in a different light. John Cena, knowing AJ's reputation, wanted to cut things off with her before he got "victimized by a crazy chick" like Bryan, Kane and Punk. He would console her when she cried, but it wasn't sincere. He wanted to patch things up with her, and then just move on knowing that the kiss was just a mistake.

Fact of the matter is, you can't just kiss a girl who obviously had feelings for you, and then try to avoid her at all costs just to protect your image. AJ finally realized that.

Hopefully, this is the end of AJ's romance storylines, and the beginning of her singles career with the goal being becoming Divas champion. On Raw, I want her to announce that Cena needed some comeuppance. He used her just to make a point, and that wasn't right. It was also to prove that she is now her own woman, and she doesn't need to be with anyone to do it.

With that being said, she helped her chances of getting a title shot a lot by helping Dolph win. She needed to get Vickie off of her back, being that she's her boss, and Cena being the idiot that he was gave her the loophole to do it. This means that Vickie may show some gratitude for her, and award her a shot at Eve.

It may have not been the right thing to do, but at TLC it was finally time for AJ to begin living for herself.

I remember telling my wife when AJ was beating the crap out of Ziggler in the locker room that they were going to end up together.

I'm actually interested in seeing where this goes.

I have to wonder if this was, in fact, a move to make AJ into the crazy chick again, or if it was meant to move Dolph forward. It's probably a bit of both. When she knocked over the ladder and was smiling, I was half expecting her to jump into Dolph's arms and make out.

I say this because Dolph hasn't had that new t-shirt for very long, and now that shirt was come to fruition. Stealing the show...and your girlfriend. AJ doesn't seem like she's 'crazy' again just yet. Just seems like she's picked her side. I'm sure it'll move in one direction or the other tonight on RAW, but if anything, that moved Dolph up along with his win more than it did advance AJ.

I just hope this does not lead to Dolph and AJ as a couple. I don't see the point, neither can really cut a promo. AJ could be catalyst in Ziggler winning by cheating but we've seen that before and it feels like a waste of her talents.

I think the conflict here is between Cena and AJ along with AJ and her demons. I hate the "tweener" concept but AJ really has been exactly that. Not because she moves to the beat of her own drummer but because she has a quartet (the Sybil Syphony Orchestra if you will) running around that little pretty head of hers that tells her to do and feel contradicting things at times. Maybe last night was AJ's way of telling Cena that she is going to sabotage his life until he:

EMBRACES
THE
ASS

Damn you WWE for giving me another reason to turn in tonight.

This is the stuff that makes her great. If she's a crazy chick she needs to be unpredictable. It was a horrible idea to make her into a generic babyface authority figure and hopefully creative learned their lesson not to meddle with something that's working.

If there is any thought to a story angle here, I can see AJ's motives being that she's going to cozy up to Ziggler to get back at Vickie.

Or, they'll just go with some crazy angle about how she felt she was being ignored by Cena or whatever. Personally, I like the idea of her making Vickie jealous each week now and some weird relationship wish Ziggler developing.

I think regardless of your personal feelings about AJ, one thingcan not be denied. She's refreshing. For years we've been force-fed Divas that aren't interesting and give us crappy matches. AJ is probably best served being in between face and heel. It'd make her character more relistic and unpredictable.

Short... and to the point.

I have definitely enjoyed AJ this year. I was not a huge fan of her as GM, but it was passable. I like her unpredictability, and I could definitely see this as a way to get Vickie back. I do agree with Yaz though that i would hate to see Ziggler move backwards if he breaks away from Vickie. She draws heat like mad, and it is still up in the air if Ziggler can do that on his own. On the other hand maybe it is time for the WWE to find out if he can or can't. Anyway, I do like the direction of AJ, and like others have said, Love her or hate her she definitely gives us something fresh.

Not all that impressed. I don't understand what the crazy is with AJ. She looks 12, and is highly annoying. I get that she does the crazy gimmick real well, but is that all she can do? I guess, as long as people watch we will see more AJ. I rather her be off my screen than on it. But, I am glad she cost Cena the match though. That was really cool.

It's a damn shame what direction the WWE is placing A.J. Lee in. How many guys has A.J. kissed this year of 2012? Now 5! A.J. is the now main face of the WWE diva's division by being focused on every week on WWE TV. So for the WWE-PG viewers sake, A.J. needs to show alot more class to those younger views. Mainly the young girls of the WWE universe.

Who know's, A.J. Lee might be the E's version of rapper Nicki Minaj?? A crazy chick with a bi-polar gimmick & personality. Either way for A.J.'s own sake don't let her be known for her being a "toss-up" between wrestlers in a storyline. It just makes me sick to watch.

I'd love this to happen, it'd be much better than the predictable route of her getting together with Dolph. I disagree with the part of her focusing on the Divas title, that'd be a step back for her. Maybe Cena looks for some sort of payback? Or she develops a hatred for Cena and forms a stable to try and take him down? I'm not sure where she could go with this but anythings better than her going for the Divas title.

...if the new and VASTLY improved AJ - and her BFF Big E. Langston - somehow screwed Dolph Ziggler over, after all the hoohah of him dumping Vickie Guerrero for her? And let's just say Big E. and AJ are in a secret alliance with someone else who's done his time in FCW (now NXT)...

Someone who is ridiculously over as a certain douchebag's PRA?

Ricardo Rodriguez's track record speaks for itself. Chimaera, the Ascension, the alliance with ADR. And don't forget that he he went after the Shield a couple of weeks back when they attacked Tommy Dreamer, almost took out John Cena on the Christmas Eve RAW with a sleeper, and is lined up to take on the Big Show for the World Heavyweight Title on RAW tomorrow night.

So just imagine everyone's faces full of shock and awe if this were to happen. Dolph looks to deepen his bond with AJ, even gets on bended knee, when Ricardo comes out through the crowd (having taken ADR out earlier, of course) and whacks Dolph with a kendo stick mid-proposal. He then looks at AJ and says one word - "Babycita" - and this cues Big E. to pick Dolph apart. And out come their co-conspirators...

The Shield.

Meaning Heyman and Punk would not be behind their invasion of WWE.
