I voted for the most common surname in the world. That guy is seriously underrated and I liked how he handled himself in a controversy earlier this year. Plus, he is a guy I'm chill with so that always helps.
Just so we are clear, LSN is not mod of the year. Don't get me wrong, LSN is a cracking mod and one of the guys who I constantly threw my weight behind to get the spot. He does a smashing job of moderating the Cigar Lounge but he isn't mod of the year.
That distinction belongs to It's Damn Real. This guy has been moderating the TNA section by himself for as long as I can remember and never complains about his task. Talking about TNA is hard enough but he encourages it and has been modding that section excellently for as long as he has been a moderator.
Trust me when I tell you that he is far and away the mod of the year.

I'd rather not be on the poll at all than to be a mod for two years and to see newer, more "popular" mods get the nod each year. Whatever.
I mean, no offense towards JGlass and LSN... they're brilliant. But none of this matters because posters obviously don't know what they're voting for.
I don't deserve to win this award either.
I voted Dave, and more people should as well. When he took over the Movies and Television section, there were only a handful of posters that made any worthwhile posts in there. However, Dave did a fantastic job driving discussion, and for the first time in a long time made it a fun place to discuss TV and film.
I did a good enough job with WrestleMania 27, and I suppose some credit is due for the BattleZone Tourney, but Dave took a dying section and gave it life.

In seriousness, Dave was great for a few weeks but then dropped off - Through no fault of his own of course. I voted Lee because despite the controversy the Videogame Tourney was brilliant, huge, and he really did run it mostly by himself (though Fizzy did throw in some good help and Dave threw in...a bunch of first-person shooters). He also kept VGT spam-free and alive with great threads and articles regularly.
I still haven't decided on who I'm voting for. I won't vote for myself because a mod should be judged by the people they do the work for. It would be unfair for me to pass the easy judgment onto myself, regardless of what I think I've done in this position.
Guys that I feel are most deserving would be JGlass and Nick.
- Glass has done a lot over the past year (Hall of Fame, WM27 section, tournaments) and handled all of that responsibility very well.
- Nick has his hands full with taking care of the WWE section. Being that there was a time when I handled that entire section on my own, I know how much work it is to clean it up; that's why I continue to monitor the section with him. But he's doing a bang-up job.

Each & everyone of you mods deserves an award for doing such a great job, & trying so hard to make this such a great place to come & hang out.
I have no idea who to vote for, because 90% of the work mods do here (if not more) we don't ever see, so us regular poster really have nothing to base our vote on other than which one we like best, or which mod runs the section we like to post in most. Basically, as far as I can tell, you all do a pretty great job, & I'm probably just not going to vote for anyone.

I'm not sure on what criteria to vote here, so I'm just going to vote for the guy I see doing the most actual moderating duties like handing out infractions, deleting posts, moving/merging threads, etc, and that would probably be D-Man I'd say. Not sure who what to where vote for why!
