The Bearded Outlaw Comes Home!

It's Damn Real!

The undisputed, undefeated TNA &

According to main page reports, he's back for good, too — none of this Austin Aries free agent playing with your toes in multiple pools shit either. A two-year deal for guarnateed money.

But not only is the Cowboy home, Beer Money is back in business, which is something TNA can benefit from big-time considering the state of the tag division. I mean, can we even call it a division? Before last night, they had one team. The Wolves.

They'll still need to find more to work with, which probably means tapping into free agency, and maybe Bram and EY end up some kind of Team Psychopath, but this was a feel-good moment and can serve some real benefit to TNA going forward.

Storm is one of my favorite active wrestlers and I don't even get TNA anymore. It's great for TNA, but sucks I won't be able to see him in WWE now.

He can turn any angle into something at least worth watching. The Beer Money reunion is great, but it should only be short lived. Neither man needs it and unless their tag division is completely desolate, it doesn't need them either.

did you catch the subtle crotch chop James did(5:20 mark as they celabrate) after the news about the new contract with TNA that had to be a shot at WWEs reported deal they offered.
now on to business. everything Storm said about himself is true, about where he was when he left was true(the mickie james story) everyone involved just seemed out of place, geting the chance to heal up, travel some, do the WWE dates seemed to rejuvenate him. Glad he is home in TNA even though as Fire Marshall Bill said with the move to POP I don't get TNA on cable anymore(Damn Charter) but still watch almost every week on a small site I found that strms/replays the shows weekly

I was shocked by him returning there.... Yeah I am gonna miss him in WWE but i hope TNA books him better than where he was when he left..... Tag division has a new addition but still TNA has only 2 legitimate tag teams in form of Beer Money & The Wolves. I hope they have some more good additions....

Storm is a ******. Have fun making pennies in TNA.

If you put stock into the report posted in the OP, Storm is set to make $250,000 per year on a two-year deal ($500,000 total) with TNA, where NXT's offer was for $100,000 or less.

But he's the ******?

Their tag division is totally desolate. Clearly you didn't read the OP. I pointed this out.

Right now, with Beer Money back together, they have exactly two teams — the Wolves and Beer Money. They need a lot more. But this will at least help for a little bit.

Lol wow i dont read every article like you, But thats funny. The bum dont deserve 100k , and i highly doubt TNA has that much to pay him. Probably false numbers were reported.

Right, and you are basing this on what, exactly – an extensive experience in economics and first-hand knowledge of their books?

I'm simply providing you evidence—evidence you can choose to reject or accept—as to why your silly shot about him "making pennies" is probably false.

I know nothing about TNA's books either, but I do know they've lost a number of contracts in the last year, so it's perfectly reasonable to assume it opened up financial avenues for them to explore. Especially when you couple this with the fact they were able to secure Bennett and Kanellis together as well.

But let's not let facts get in the way of low-hanging fruit, eh?

I don't know why you're bothering, that guy's fresh outta the cave.

I liked this. I've never liked Storm, probably never will, but there's a charm to him that makes him likeable. That charm only comes out (for me) when he's in Beer Money.

These two have such great chemistry. There's something about how stoic and emotionless Roode is, and how Storm carries himself. Personally, I love tag teams with contrasting personalities. I hate tag-teams that are basically the same dude in different tights. That's why I can't get into The Wolves that much.

If you look at some of the most memorable and fun tag teams, they're really different. HBK and Triple H, Bubba and D-Von, Roode and Storm, AJ and Daniels, Roode and Aries etc. The few exceptions are the Hardy's, who honestly back in the day were pretty different as well. Matt was always more grounded and Jeff was far more flashy. Teams like The Wolves are basically clones and while they're super fun to watch, it just doesn't click for me.

Anyway, Storm did seem to have some more fun, and 250k guaranteed for this year would put a smile on my face as well. This seems like the right thing to do.

TNA definitely laid the groundwork for a new tag team division. There's Beer Money, EY and Bram (yas gurl, this is guud), The Wolves, possibly Jesse Godderz and Eli Drake, The Hardys, and I'm pretty sure they can come up with some more fun ones if they rattle their brains some more.

Personally, I'd take Pope out of that damn commentator's seat and tag him up with Lashley (awfully white guy of me, I know). Again, speaking of contrasting personalities in tag teams. I see it as a Diesel/HBK type of chemistry.

Five or six teams should do pretty well.

Beer Money, The Hardys, The Wolves, EY and Bram, Godderz and Drake. It already looks pretty good. If TNA does indeed sign Redragon then add them to the mix as well as the exciting newcomers. Tag Pope with someone, tag Spud with someone and you got yourself a solid, solid tag division.

Hi there. Welcome to your introductory course on Professional Wrestling Economics In the Modern Era. As an introductory course, we'll be skipping over a lot of nuance.

TNA's problem throughout almost all of their existence has not been a lack of available capital; it has been a failure to use that capital to create a positive profit/revenue situation within TNA itself. The major factor affecting TNA vis a vis Panda Energy has been how much Panda is willing to invest in TNA at any given time. (At this time I will not be explaining again to the rest of the board why this is not an unlimited supply of money, as that should have been covered in an 8th grade mathematics course.)

The amount we're talking about- $250k- might sound like a lot of money to you, but it's a dry cough in terms of a televised professional wrestling company's budget, and he wouldn't even be close to their highest paid employee.

Totally missed that, sorry. Well Beer Money can breathe life into that division then. I still say they should do what they can to use Beer Money to bring in more viable teams so Roode and Storm can go their separate ways again. This obviously could take even a year, which is fine. Every great tag team should have their reunions of sorts.

I like this move, and I hope that Beer Money gets booked a bit like the two man power trip in WWE were the both also continue their singles careers and battle for some gold.

If TNA can sign reDRagon then that's great, you have 3 teams plus Spud/Mandrews and maybe one other you've got a competitive tag division.

I think it is good for TNA that he is back, I hate how they wrote off his past year. I get that they want people to be behind him again but last time we saw him, he was supposed to be a heel - how about working from there? How about Roode asking him for help with EY and Bram? How about you tease it for a few weeks that he is still the heel and won't help Roode until he shows up last minute, like they did on tv, and turns face by helping him? You could have still done the same promo and everything but it is finishing off that heel character instead of just coming onto tv and saying "ignore that, bad decision on our part".
