Takers Real R.I.P?

Dark Match Jobber
Hello all, I'm sorry I know there are a lot of depressing threads like this but this one always stuck in my mind. What if Undertaker where to pass while on roster? As his current phenom character. What I'm really asking is will they do some cheesy character skit. Or....Do you think they will actually break his character something not done before...unless you count him going into his badass character. But the fact is Vince is so uptight with Takers character that it has even been reported Vince dosen't like taker showing up to WWE events in light colored clothing when we is in his phenom persona. So do you think WWE will break this mans character and say Mark Caloway (i think thats how you spell it O_o) past on? And all of that cause in my mind Undertaker is the only real heavy character to come out of wrestling that has stayed with this gimmick for so long. So how do you think WWE would handle a situation like that?
Either they actually break character and say his name and other stuff or
do something on the lines of maybe at the end of the show have the lights go off and it get all foggy and you get the ten gongs of silence...
:undertaker2:
I hate putting a bummer mood and all this talk about death is a bit uncomfortably but I've been wanting others opinions on this for awhile. I think it would be easier for them if before he retired he became Badass taker again, although thats most likely never going to happen.

Thanks all can't wait for your input.
Jake

Without a doubt, in my mind anyway, they would do a bit of both.

If he was to past, while on the roster, Vince would do something very similar to the night he announced the death of Chris Benoit. He would stand in the ring and inform the world that "The Undertaker, Mark Caloway, has past".

Either way, when that day does come, it will be a sad sad day for the wrestling world. At least his death won't (or shouldn't) be something that puts a black eye on the wrestling business.

well yes they would have to, when taker is dead he can't exactly carry on with the gimmick? i was watching an old taker match the other day, it was mr Kennedy.... Kennedy (sorry couldn't resist :P) vs undertaker at armageddon 2007 and it came to this moment where the 2 were fighting on top of the stage, taker goes for a choke slam, but kennedy reverses it and throws taker off the stage to the floor, about 15ft. the commentators were all shocked, usual bulls*** coming out of their mouths, when all of the sudden Michael cole says "he is only human" surely if WWE were so uptight about his gimmick then they wouldn't say that... all this crap about undertaker not being able to show up to events, wearing dark clothing is stupid, there's a video on youtube with mark calloway arriving at an airport with Michelle McCool his girlfriend in a white shirt. WWE knows everyone knows wrestling is scripted... and after 20 years in the business im pretty sure even VKM couldn't stop someone going out in bright colored clothes lol

i doubt it will happen while he is on the roster as he hasn't got that much left in him, but when i does happen its going to be something along the lines of what happened when Owen died.

eg. Mark Caloway who played the character of The Undertaker has passed away, i would say he would have the 3 show tribute similar to the 2 show tribute that Eddie had when he passed, i don't think they will do another full show of just someones history after what happened with Benoit, it will just be tribute matches and people talking and crying.

but when it does happen a great legacy will be left by him, and the wrestling world will move on.

Again, it depends on the time Taker leaves the industry and his time of death..If he had died while within the company (either as a road agent or wrestler), expect the full tribute works..if its 20 yrs down the line..expect a visual to be shown and (possibly) a 10 bell salute. Timing is everything..saying if Taker dies today would be the same as saying if Cena (god forbid) died in a car accident..if Cena retired today and died a 35 yrs later..i question what the WWE would do..its all on timing..

In any case, its tragic to see a person leave..honestly I dont know what I will do if guys like Rock, Austin, or Taker passed on..I used to watch these guys in 98, and would probably try to watch/attend the full show if possible, just to show my thanks and respect...

What would be more interesting is if Taker was defeated in a buried alive match, and died..or he finally won some other title at WM..and died...MAJOR storyline change..for sure..
