WWE house show report 9-5 Cape Town, South Africa w/title change

Attended the RAW house show in Capoe Town last night.

1)Cody Rhodes beat Daivari in a so-so match.
2)Dave Taylor and Paul Burchill beat the Highlanders in a much better macth,
3)Val Venis beat Santino Morella in a stinker.
4)The Sandman bested Jerry Dear(?) in a so-so encounter.
5)Paul London and Brian Kendrick beat Murdoch and Cade to win the TAg
Titles(!) in what was by far the best match of the card.

Intermission

Maria throws t-shirts to the front 3 rows.

6)Jeff Hardy beat Carlito to reatin the IC belt in a very good match.
7)Candice Michelle beat Beth Phoenix to retain the Women's belt in a
passable match,
8)John Cena beat Randy orton to reatin the World Title in a match that
actually had people shouting "Boring!"

Biggest Face Pops:
1)Cena(must be a good change for him)
2)Jeff Hardy
3)The Sandman

Biggest Heel Heat:
1)Daivari(possibly because he came out first?)
2)Randy Orton
3)Carlito

Place was sold out for ages before, and they were turning people away at
the door. Cena got a MONSTER Pop. The biggest news though was the tag
title change. Wonder if they'll drop the belts back in Johannesburg?

It's probably just for the benefit of the South Africans and it wont be mentioned on TV or in the record books. But it's still a title change. Still London & Kendrick are a better option for the tag titles. Hopefully if they do change them round again, London & Kendrick get the titles at Unforgiven.

maybe Cade or Murdoch got sick or possibly one of them violated the wellness policy just recently if that is so we should find out soon or possibly next week when raw airs but odd that they had a title swap at a house show.

Nah, I betcha it wasn't London and Kendrick at all. It was Cryme Tyme dressed up like London and Kendrick. Next week on RAW they will auction off the tag team belts in the crowd before giving Mae Young their finishing maneuver and running away just before Snitsky becomes Vince McMahon's illigitimate son.

Man I need to get a hobby on Monday Nights.

Maybe there is a chance that the change will stick. A house show hasn't happened in ages, but it has happened before. I would love to see London & Kendrick with the belts on RAW this Monday. There has to be some reason to keep watching.

i think that wwe might kept it in the record books especially with the picture of London and Kendrick on the internet but if CAde or Murdoch aren't suspended i expect them to get it back while still on the tour.

This may be a punishment for what happened with cryme time. They went behind their back and that's not much appreciated (unless your name is Vince and you have your champion changing companies...), and as a result they lose the belts to L & K, altough it is a surprise that they decided to do it in a house show.

maybe this is from the cryme tyme problems. cryme tyme gets released and cade and murdoc loose the belts? idk its a possibility

It might be that they were practicing the match for Unforgiven, to see if how the audience pop for London and Kendrick winning the titles. They wanna see how over they are with the crowd before giving them the titles on the A-show.

I agree that this is a result of the Cryme Tyme incident. Earlier many of us complained as to how Murdoch and Cade can get off without any punishment, well here it is.

Well, Cade and Murdoch are still listed as the World Tag Team Championships. WWE hasn't reported the title change. Although if this news spreads fast and wide enough, WWE may be forced to acknowledge it, even if that wasn't the original plan. Which sucks, cuz I was looking foward to seeing L&K winning the titles at Unforgiven. Winning the titles at a ppv is just more exciting than a successful title defense at a PPV.

I always thought the titles couldn't change at a house show, but i dont know? Maybe Cade & Murdoch losing have something to do with their punishment for the Cryme Tyme incident. But who knows, i sure don't. I agree with EdgeFan maybe they were just trying to see what kind of pop they got after they defeated Cade and Murdoch. Londrick will probably lose the title before they hit Raw on Monday but them having the title when Monday night comes around because it has happened before. But if not i hope they win the title at unforgiven.

I think that a title change at a house show isn't that unusual...they did it with Edge winning the Intercontinental title in '99 (i think that is the right year). It's a fresh idea and may increase interest in attending a house show.

And it might have just been a mistake as well. Remember a few months back, Mickie James won the womans title from Meline at a house show, only for Melina to win it back later. Still, even though it was only a few hour title reign, it still made the WWE website. However, I wouldn't be surprised if Londrick pulled a "fast one" on Cade and Murdock, and with the new deal with the referees not knowing the outcome of a match, maybesomthing like that happened, who knows.

I'm actually happy about the title change even though it's not beign recognized. I hope they do win them at Unforgiven, though, if they lose them again. And Cena is still champion? Ugh, why is this happening?! I'd like to see a new champion soon...

Also, I just though I'd add this along, it has nothing to do with the tag titles, I just don't know where it does go, but on the WWE website, they have a "Whos McMahons Son" pole going with most of the WWE Roster, and although they're advertising HHH as a popular vote, when you look at the actual results, Paul London actually has the most votes, even more that HHH! Also, Theres an Article about London and Kendrick visiting some sick kids. So with two big things on the main site, maybe they're just holding off on mentioning it awhile so that the front page isn't littered with Londrick.

I'm delighted to hear this news. London & Kendrick are probably the best (and most entertaining) tag team in the WWE however I will admit I have been impressed with the "Redneck Wrecking Crew" in recent months. When they first came to WWE they won the belts on their first night before really getting over and to say the least I wasn't really impressed with them or had too much time for them on TV but fairplay to them, they've worked hard on their in-ring skills and their characters in the last couple of years and have won me over.

Gotta agree as well, this has something suspiciously to do with "Cryme Tyme-Gate". Kinda sucks, that's three title changes in a week where the winners have only got it because the champion has been on the end of a punishment of somekind. It's always better when someone gets the belt because they deserved it.

i totally forgot about the crime tyme incident so this might actually be revenge but i guess that we will find out on Monday

I think its the punishment for ribbing Cryme Tyme, who knows?

I want those boys back, they are great comedy acts for Raw!

No it'll likely chnge back tonight with no mention of it on TV. There is no mention of it on the WWE site and I have raked through it. there are pictures from every match apart from the tag match, which would suggest it's just a treat for the house show watchers there in South Africa...only time will tell

Just a treat for the house show. Titles might change hands at PPV however. They might aswell get some use out London/Kendrick since they moved 'em to RAW.

I'm actually happy about the title change even though it's not beign recognized. I hope they do win them at Unforgiven, though, if they lose them again. And Cena is still champion? Ugh, why is this happening?! I'd like to see a new champion soon...

CENA SUCKS

Also Bob Backlund lost his title to Diesel at a house show, there was a womens title change earlier tis year at one as well. But WWE have not reported it so it may not be 'official'

Nah it wont happen Cade and Murdoch will win them back on tour and then L&K win the titles at Unforgiven they were just testing the crowd to see how they reacted to it

London and Kendrick, tag team champions? Now that they're champs instead of Cade and Murdoch, maybe Hardcore Holly and Cody Rhodes need to go for the title again. Heck, I'd like to see Rey Mysterio (if he comes to RAW) and Jeff Hardy go for the title.
