TAG TEAM WRESTLING! Possibly the most overlooked spectacle in modern day wrestling.

Over the years there have been some truly phenomenal Tag Teams and even more phenomenal Tag Team matches. Teams such as The Motor City Machineguns, The Hardy and Dudley Boyz, E&C, The Midnight Rockers, The brothers of Destruction have done great things in the line of Tag Team Wrestling. But out of all the past and present Tag Teams, what is the DREAM Tag Team Match that everyone has always craved?!

I honestly got my dream tag match last night with the Kings of Wrestling vs the World's Greatest Tag Team. A phenomenal match between two great teams. The Kings of Wrestling very well may be the best tag team in North America and they proved it last night. And the World's Greatest Tag Team is one of my favorite tag teams of the past decade. They added athleticism to technical and amateur prowess.

I never believed this match would ever happen, so much so that I never even thought of the concept. When it was announced I marked the fuck out.

I won't go in to detail about the match, because it only happened last night and many haven't seen it. But it was definitely one of the best matches of the year, probably second best Tag match of the year (MCMG/Beer Money Best of 5 is #1 imo).

My choice is quite different, but I would have liked to see:

Charlie Haas & Shelton Benjamin vs. MCMG.

I think both of these teams have the potential to go down in history as one of the most well-formed tag teams in history, along with many others like the Dudleys etc.

I don't know about anybody else, but when in circa, the Worlds Greatest Tag Team (Haas and Benjamin) really really REALLY impressed me. They were always in such a well-balanced, fluid motion in ring and I don't think I ever saw either of them screw up during the match. It's just a shame that they were short lived and were part of Team Angle for the better part of their career.

MCMG, on the other hand, I can say the same for. If you've seen the series, then you know what I'm talking about. MCMG and Beer Money was probably one of the greatest tag series I've ever witnessed and I thoroughly despise TNA.

Worlds Greatest Tag Team vs. MCMG for me.

WGTT vs MCMG is def up there for me... and it COULD happen, but mine is one that def will not ever happen, Demolition (Ax and Smash) w/Mr. Fuji vs. Brothers of Destruction w/Bearer, have always loved monster characters and these four men are def at the top of that category for me, no not a whole lot of style or high flying here (only three top rope moves come to my mind between the four of them) but brute force there is an abundance of, Taker and Kane are two of the greatest singles competitors and worked pretty damn well as a tag team IMO, as for Demolition I consider them the greatest tag team of all time and I would have loved to just see these two teams beat the ever loving hell out of each other... side note the best tag match I HAVE seen is no doubt Beer Money vs. MCMG

My dream match I have craved is MCMG's vs Beer Money vs Road Warrior's vs British Bulldog's. These four teams are the best team's in tag team history in my option with all four team's will probably give it all in the match with Beer Money winning after a fail Road Warriors finisher on Dave boy smith then Beer Money's DWI on Hawk for the win.

Ole/Arn Anderson vs. Angle/Benoit in a 2/3 falls elimination match. Meaning both members of a team have to be pinned to win the fall. This would be just pure wrestling at it's finest

MCMG vs. Hardys vs. E&C vs. Hollywood Blonds ladder match

Mega Powers vs. Sting/Luger as KB has stated in his reviews of old ppvs WCW never went with that matchup and really missed a huge payday by not doing it

Clearly the best tag team match that ever was had to be done over again, and it was the 4 way tag team ladder match from Armageddon.


But if I had to pick a dream Tag Team Match, it would be Eliminators vs MCMG

My dream tag team match would have to be The Road Warriors vs The Brothers of Destruction. The B.O.D. had the potential to be the greatest tag team of all time, but feuding between the too and a real lack of tag teams in WWE has hurt that possiblility. For me, this is a match up of two teams that you would fear getting into the ring with.

America's Most Wanted vs Beer Money (I know that these are both tag teams with James Storm, but in my mind, these are the best two tag teams in TNA History, and I would love to see which one is better...)
