Jonny Depp doing his only version of a cockney accent. How can such a great actor get it so wrong. Fine for a pissed up pirate, but not in any other film. Actually disapointed by the trailer. It's got Depp, Sacha Baron Cohen & Alan Rickman, directed by Tim Burton and I'm just not excited.

Looks to be ok. Hopefully will be 15, but with all the violence, cannibalism and whatnot will probably be 18. Have the poster on my wall already (came with Empire magazine). Depp is a good actor, but you're right Jake, can't do the Cockney accent.

#1 You should have the Blade Runner side of the poster up.

#2 It's a musical. I the only rated other rated 18 musical I can think of is Cannibal, and that's shit. I also dont think that Tom Buton makes adult films. Gotic, creepy, sure. But not something that only 18's and over can see.

Remember this, Johnny Depp was a wanna be rockstar before he got into acting so I actually think he's going to put it all out for this film. It's his chance to show off what he can do.

Musicals aren't for everyone, plain and simple. I will watch this film simply because Johnny Depp is in it but the fact that Tim Burton is directing another Depp film is icing on the cake. I haven't seen a bad movie with these 2 working together.

Pirates and Sweeney are two completely different movies, obviously the accents are similar but thats about it. I have a feeling this will be another great performance by Depp

Wow! Sweeny Todd has always been one of my favorite musicals. Glad to see that they're making it into a movie. Time Burton is a great choice for the movie as it pretty much fits his genre of the weird and creepy. It'll probably get a PG-13 rating. I'm interested to see how Depp acts throughout the movie. When I first started watching the trailer I couldn't help but wonder why he sounded exactly like Jack Sparrow... I dunno how well that will work either... Reguardless of that I'm still very excited for this movie!
