I'm loving the Story Designer mode, even though it takes me a few hours to complete each show. I was wanting to do a RAW and Smackdown one at the same time, but I'm having a hard time coming up with stuff for Smackdown wrestlers to do. I started my Story Designer at the first RAW of the new year, and I have my Story Designer planned out through at least Wrestlemania for RAW. I just might have a hard time making it all the way to Mania. But Smackdown, I don't have the slightest clue where I'm going with it.

That was fucking cool. I just annihilated JoMo with my CAW, music's playing, i'm celebrating, all of a sudden a WWE Universe Mode cutscene kicks in and Justin Roberts gets on the mic and says "Ladies and Gentlemen, I have just recieved word that this match has been ordered to restart as a Falls Count Anywhere match ..and it did. Time to pwn Jomo again.
I have a PS3. I just never use it. I'll get it for that.
Hopefully my PS3 can connect to the internet. It has a weak connection, since its downstairs and the router is upstairs. I could download Austin for last year, though, so I have hope.

So, the match started.. me vs Randy Orton, and RVD shows up waving about a front-row ticket to Raw. Haha.. it's just cool. The little things like that, how much more fun and interesting it makes it.

So I've tried out this game (Wii Version) despite my initial reluctance.
LIKE:
I like the additions to various modes like Story Designer and Create-a-Finisher. Branching storylines were about the only thing keeping me from getting too involved in last year's effort. I didn't think I'd like the corner finishers, but here I am rocking a top rope stunner. Anything that adds to the bland move list of old is a plus.
I also like the WWE Universe mode. It really isn't as random as you'd think; you certainly won't be seeing a Dusty Finish to each or your matches, if that's your concern. What it does is give me a feeling I haven't had since the very first Smackdown game. Season and GM Modes are nice, but I also liked how exhibition play had an effect on rankings in WWF Smackdown!. Between this and the Story Designer mode, I would likely play this game more often than I did most previous versions of a WWE game going back to No Mercy.

Road to Wrestlemania still fails to interest me at all. At least last year had Dusty Rhodes audio clips to amuse me. The CAW storyline is neat, much like it was last year, but still has it's flaws. What the fuck is up the walking around backstage? It reminds me of the driving/walking segments of No More Heroes, in that they are entirely useless. Why not use a menu system instead and save us hours of exciting gameplay that had been done to death in most every Mortal Kombat game in the last decade. There really isn't anything interactive to it beyond missing a few conversations because you don't really want to guide your "Slowest Running Mother Fucker In The World" avatar down some simple hallways. Haven't video games grown up past shit like this?
Going Wii specific here, but so many features could easily be implemented on the Wii version if THQ wasn't so lazy as to simply port the PS2 version. I get the limits on data prevent DLC content, but seeing as how even Rock Band can see and use music saved on an SD Card, why can't this game? Would it really have been that hard to add custom music support? We aren't even talking about the videos here, I couldn't care less about that. This one doesn't even let you use the PPV theme songs like '08 let you. Instead, you get 5-7 generic and forgettable rock tunes. The Wii is a limited system in a lot of ways, but it's biggest hinderance are cross platform developers too lazy to use the god damned hardware properly.
Is this game worth it's price for the Wii? I'd suggest it for another system if possible. It's a pretty good game as long as her hotter sisters aren't around.

I'm indifferent to it. I don't like that you can't choose title matches whenever you want.... or is there an option for that that I missed. I do like the little cut-scenes here and there and the random in-game match changes.

Also, goodness forbid you change the rosters around. Mine went nuts when I did it, switched Edge to SD, and he was in three title matches at the PPV

Thanks to WWE Universe mode, I'm currently having the weirdest Superstars match in history. It started off as a match between Miz, Bourne, and my CAW. As soon as my entrance was over David Hart Smith shows up with a front row ticket. In the middle of the match, JOHN CENA runs in, Cole and King mention his history with Miz...and then he starts helping Miz (CZENA HEEL TURNZ!!!111!!!) kick mine and Bourne's asses. I shudder to think what is going to happen after the match.
And in the match before that, I had defeated DiBiase with Santino when Vince McMahon decides to send Zack Ryder after me.

thats the thing though. Im just totally unsure if all this weirdness is purposely, and will branch out and make sense, of its just like a toddler throwing shit at a wall.
Had a match with Kofi Kingston Vs Vance Archer, that was interefered with by three people, and then after I won, got restarted as a submission match. By no one in particular, for no reason. lulz.
Can anyone actually confrim anything that occurs backstage ever happen? Does anything remotely make sense after a while?

I had similar experience like that before except no Cena turn lol, anyway my CAW J-Dogg is WWE Champion, he beat Triple H at Extreme Rules in an Extreme Rules Last Man Standing First Blood Match..LULZ, and then next night on RAW he's not even in the Main event..he's in a match with mark Henry who i don't think is in the top rankings list and not even a contender. This shit is so random.
I did have a humorous experience with Cena's RTWM, Sheamus was saying he and Maryse being together is destiny...LOL. And Maryse rejected him.

And i don't know if you'd know Norc's but do you have Attribute Customizer? cause if you do i tried maxing people like Cena's attributes to 100 and it wouldn't me, i even tried to do the same with my CAW.
