Do you always find you support home town/country wrestlers?

I try. I really want to support English, and British wrestlers. I feel I should. Were only a small island and if soomebody makes it I think I should support them. But sometimes I can't bring myself to like them. I'm a huge fan of Tom Billington, but I could give or take Davey Boy Smith. I always thought he was a lazy athlete. I can't get behind Dave Taylor & Drew Galloway. Taylor looks about 70, and shouldn't be anywhere near a wrestling ring anymore. And Galloway is greener than a vegetarians poo.

Yeah, I usually find myself behind local wrestlers. For example Edge, Trish Stratus, Christian. They are all from Toronto. That's why I cheared for them even if the promos sucked, or even if the match sucked. There will aways be prejudice in wrestling when it comes to "hometown heros". I don't cheer for all Canadaian wrestlers because there are too many, but anybody from the Toronto are will get cheared by me.

I mark out for Santino Marella now because he moved to Paterson, NJ. When I thought he was from Italy I didn't care. Now I am treasurer of his WZF Fan-a-Club.

I was also a big Jersey Triad guy. Dallas Page, Bigelow, and Kanyon were a cool stable for the Jersey folks.

Jay Lethal is from Elizabeth, NJ so he gets a big crowd draw to NJPro shows.

Chaz from the Headbangers sucked. Nobody cared. "I'm just a kid from Jersey." Yes, now go lick Bon Jovi's boots.

I support local wrestlers as well. CM Punk and Colt Cabana are my favorites not only because they had a good background and for them with the ability to perform, but they are from right here, Chicago IL!

Maria lives in the area as well. She does autograph sessions in the Chi area somewhat often. Damn I love her.

I would support local wrestlers, but the only guy i know whos billed from Reno is Jim Neidhart, and hes like retired... i think there would be more from here if there were wrestling schools in Reno...

Well I'm from South Dakota, so we don't really have any local wrestlers except Brock Lesnar, who was born and grew up in Webster, SD, and I did support him when he was with WWE and would support him if he came back, I just always found him entertaining, more so as a heel, cause I liked him as the monster heel he pulled it off so well, other than that I lived in Wisconsin for a long time which is where Kennedy is from, and I'm a fan of his, pretty much from the time he debuted on SD!, just like the guy, cuts great promos and keeps me entertained, Austin Aries is from Milwaukee, I like him, great wrestler, and it is a little known fact that Roderick Strong was actually born in Wisconsin too, another wrestler I'm as big fan of, can't think of any others, but everytime I hear about a wrestler who hails from somewhere in WI or SD, they'll always catch my attention, and I'll automatically watch them to see if they're any good, I have no problem supporting my local wrestlers

Tyler Black, Marek Brave, "Sugarfoot" Alex Payne, & Danny Havoc are probably the most well known Iowan's wrestling today.

Black & Payne are in ROH.
Brave wrestles for AAW.
Havoc wrestles for CZW & others.

You know I'd be hard pressed to find any well known wrestlers from the Central Illinois area. We have a couple of feds here but nothing too special...anyone know of performers from my area?

well, you could always call CM Punk a hometown guy, hes from Illinois, but im not too sure about central Illinois, does anyone know of anyone from Reno/Sacramento?

The more i get into ROH, the more i wana go see Nigel McGuiness. He is fairly local to where I am from (Him Kent, me Sussex), supremely talented and if i could get to places that hold regular international shows, like Coventry etc, i would be there in a flash if he was around.

Then again, i cant so i am just going to save and make a point of seeing in an ROH show at some point soon (i hope!)

I will almost always support a British wrestler over any others, because I am British and as many people know, very proud of it. I always supported Davey Boy Smith, mainly because his mum use to live 4 streets away from the street I live on.

When I hear "supporting local wrestlers." I think more about the local indy feds than guys who are just in the show and happen to be from my town. I defnitely support IWC as they're the closest indy fed to Pittsburgh. It's great when you get to see that guy you watched for years in some gym or bar, in WWE. It always sucks a little when they're gone, but you always have that special connection with them.

I got to watch Steerling James Keenan grow up in IWC, and it just so happens he's from Pittsburgh. I can't say he's my favorite worker in the world, but I do like him and I gotta say I did mark out when I saw him get squashed by Mark Henry this summer on Smackdown. He also worked for ROH a little over the last two years.

As far as guys who made it ... I can't help it that I like heels, and two of the best heels just happen to come from Pittsburgh.
