Superstar Returns

HEAT ATTRACTER!!!!
the name of this thread says it, many people have yet to return like skip sheffield, golddust, possibility of jericho and maybe batista, michael tarver (though i dislike him and he doesnt belong in the wwe)., also heard that sunny may come back for another run.
so what my questions are:

1) when will skip sheffield return? or will he ever return? will he get fired before he returns?
2)when will golddust return?
3)will jericho return?
4)will batista return?
5)when undertaker returns will he still be coming out to johnny cash? will he wear his new trenchcoat? (the one he wore at WM 28)
6) will we see the return of sunny?

discuss away.

1. If Skip Sheffield even HAS a major return, I'm thinking it'll be against Nexus or Corre, but I sincerely doubt it. He'll probably start out the way John Cena started out -- small time, with a bit of a gimmick, and built up properly, without shoving the idea of an unknown in the main event in our faces.

2. Goldust doesn't really fit into today's product. He's on the verge of retiring, even mentioning it a few times. He's not much more than a comedy legend at this point, with no business in any legitimate place on the card.

3. Jericho will return in a feud against Randy Orton some time soon.

4. If Batista even returns, it'll be a surprise return, probably against Cena.

5. Undertaker should retire, and soon. They couldn't keep him around long enough to build up a proper Wrestlemania feud. He's not going to do anything major for other PPVs, let alone the weekly shows.

6. I don't think Sunny will make a return at all.

1) when will skip sheffield return? or will he ever return? will he get fired before he returns?

If skip returns I want him as a face with some sort of a small gimmick. It's been a while since we have had someone with his size have a run at anything. At least return the dude and let him show us what he has. He's fucking built, throw him in a tag team with Chris Masters!? Something?

2)when will golddust return?

Gold dust at this point like Mozz said is close to retiring. Dustin should have no hard feelings with what he has done. His heel runs were pretty sweet, and his face comedy runs were stuff of legend.

3)will jericho return?

Yes, hopefully at Ec to in some role. I would love to see him run with the miz for a few matches. The promos would be pretty sweet.

4)will batista return?

Depends, he's getting up there in age and was pretty injury prone. Maybe but I'm not sure how.

5)when undertaker returns will he still be coming out to johnny cash? will he wear his new trenchcoat? (the one he wore at WM 28)

I'm sorry, I really don't know. Takers match at mania was impressive. But not the Taker I remember. His last 3 matches will go down as some of the greats. Between two of the greatist men in wrestling history. But unless he does some serious recouperation. I don't know.

6) will we see the return of sunny?
No

1 Skip is gonna return sometime this year on Smackdown.

2 Golddust is Bound to retire soon. Besides GoldDust is a jobber so hes only good for live events nt tv and maybe WWE Superstars.

3 Jericho is deffiantely return and i wouldnt be suprised as much if its this week at extreme rules ater his tease on twitter

4 Batistas MMA Deal is off so i can see him and HHH In another feud with cena maybe

5 Undertaker is a Wrestlemania Only preformer sort off thing so expect him near Wrestlemania next year coming out to his old theme (i hope)

6 Sunny i would love too see her return too boost up divas maybe but now the got kharma i dont think its gonna happen

I'm sure Sheffield will return and probably as a face. I've seen reports that McMahon is high on him and thinks he could be a top babyface.

Golddust may return but not in a major rule, mainly to put over younger talent. If he doesn't return to TV I wouldn't be surprised if he goes to work as a trainer in FCW. He has said he plans on retiring soon.

Jericho will most likely return very soon after Dancing With Stars ends. Even though his been eliminated all contestants or under contract till the season finale. He will probably return to Smackdown as a heel to get revenge on Orton. But I definitely think he has another babyface run in him before retiring.

Batista may be done with WWE and wrestling all together. It's hard to say he's not a young man anymore, if he doesn't come back soon he probably never will. On the other hand he hasn't had much luck outside of WWE. The deal with Strikeforce is dead and he hasn't gotten many if any major acting roles that I know of.

I don't think Undertaker will keep the Johnny Cash song when he returns. It was probably used for Wrestlemania and the build to it only. The trench coat could of been only for Wrestlemania too. It's hard to say which way he'll go upon his return.

As for Sunny I don't see her returning full time. I wouldn't be too surprised to see her make an occasional appearance her and there.

1. I personally would like to see Skip not return but Vince has always liked big guys and a lot of people, at least around here, seemed to be at least semi-high on the guy. With absolutely no evidence, I'd too guess random return with build-up unrelated to Nexus or Corre.

2. Like everyone is saying, Goldust may not return and stick backstage.

3. My greatest hope is that Jericho returns Sunday, starts a feud with the Miz (as he's apparently hinted on twitter), and gets to have some exchanges with The Rock on Monday. I don't think he'll exact revenge on Orton for 2 reasons: first, I don't think he can come back as a heel at this point after DWTS and second, it's not like WWE has been all that consistent with major returns concerning resolving the absence (ie. Undertaker/Kane, sort of HHH/Sheamus).

4. My money is on Batista returning now that MMA has fallen through and Vince is hard up for talent. My guess is Raw.

5. I say Undertaker has a match at Summerslam, finished his career going 20-0 at WM 28. No more Johnny Cash though...seemed Mania and road-to-it exclusive.

6. I guess it would be alright to see Sunny come back. I feel she's way too far gone for a lot of people to care.

Skip Sheffield - Rumours have it McMahon is high on him. I think before any release he will be given a chance to shine. Could make a decent heel.

Goldust - Superstars and the odd silly Raw vignette. As good as finished in the ring. I would like to see him team with Dusty and Cody against Ted Sr, Ted and Brett Dibiase in some kind of family fued though. (I'm aware Ted Sr is struggling at the mo).

Jericho - Not if, but when. Nuff said.

Batista - MMA is going nowhere. WWE pays much better money and he is knocking on. I see him returning for a good solid run. Probably sometime later this year. Back as a dominant heel. Put him on Smackdown.

Undertaker - Probably return at Survivor Series like he does most years. Start to build his feud for WM28 with sporadic appearences. I wanna see him as the 'bad ass'.

Sunny - She wants back in. Not sure McMahon will be interested. Maybe in a Divas gimmick match for next year. Just hope she doesnt take Melinas spot.

1. Skip Sheffield - Sure he's returning. As to when and how, I guess sometime later in the year on SmackDown!. I hope he starts a fued with Wade Barrett. Vince is high on him so I can see him main-eventing in less than a year after his return. Could be the next Batista.

2. Goldust - He's gone. He's finished. He's hinted retirment so many times. He'll come back for a short fued with someone young and up-coming talent. He goes out in a loser leaves match. That's my bet.

3. Chris Jericho - Hmm. Somebody said he'll return after DWTS finale. I'll go with that. But it would be pointless to bring him back as a heel. As a matter of fact, he can't be brought back as a heel. I guess when he comes back, he'll be a babyface and WWE would have to go that way. So, give up hopes of a Orton-Jericho fued.

4. Batista - This is the toughest call. He's old, injury prone. But he has the desire and the movies aren't doing him any good. So I can see him returning by the later end of the year for a dominant face run and probably with a fued with John Cena involving Triple H.

5. Undertaker - This is the easy one. He'll take the same old route he's been taking for 2-3 years. Go out after Mania. Be forgotten till Royal Rumble or Elimination Chamber and return after one of those PPVs to headline WrestleMania 28! That's the most irritating thing after Michael Cole in the WWE right now. Plus, the trench coat and Johnny Cash music was just a WrestleMania 27 and road-to it exclusive. So hopefully he'll be returning with the "Deadman" music.

6. Sunny - She ain't returning. Period.

1. Sheffield - He may return as the muscle of The Corre if Zeke and Barrett have a falling out.

2. Goldust - He should retire. He's had a good run. He should step aside and let the young guns of the company take the "reigns".

3. Jericho - He'll return at Extreme Rules. maybe assist Punk against Orton and start feud with Orton maybe.

4. Batista - I don't know, i'd like to see him back, maybe on SmackDown!

5. 'Taker - I'd like to see him return as the biker dude and at Survivor Series.

6. Sunny - No Chance

1. Sheffield - Sheffield is on the RAW roster so, he might return and be part of Nexus since Nexus is dying.

2. Goldust - Goldust will probably be busy helping out with Tough Enough as he has great wrestling work under his belt.

3. Jericho - He will return maybe in May and feud with Punk, if face. That would be probably the best feud for 2011.

4. Batista - Like everybody else says, his MMA contract is done and I would like him to feud with Cena before Cena feuds with the Rock at Mania. Batista's mic promos on Cena before he left were 10 times better of an improvement.

5. 'Taker - Would probably return for SummerSlam and face HHH

6. Sunny - No Chance

1. Sheffield most likely will return I think.
2. Goldust MAY return for just a little while, hard to tell because of his age, injury, and retiring rumors.
3. Jericho WILL return and have another long run. Maybe some promos with The Rock because that would just be AWESOME (not like miz :lmao: )
4. I think batista SHOULD return but I don't know if he will. I would like to see a return of The Animal.
5. This, I have a big idea for. Since we all saw Undertaker get carried out of WM 27, they could have a storyline where he returns as The American Badass and they say that he turned mortal or something (hence the Badass instead of the Deadman and because of the tombstone he took maybe? idk). Then have that go on for a little while because a lot of people really enjoyed that badass gimmick (I know i did). Then closer to Mania, have him be in a hard fought match at a PPV and have him win. And when hes in the ring after the victory (maybe selling an "injury" from the match) have the gong sound and the lights go out. When the lights turn on (but could be dimmed) have Paul Bearer in the ring with the urn, and he will open the urn and laugh and a light or something will shine or whatever they want to do with that. After that the lights go out and the gong sounds again and when the lights come back on, he and Paul Bearer are gone. Have him return in like 2-3 weeks or so as the Deadman. Then have him come out at Mania with an EPIC entrance with Paul Bearer (like a newer thing with the Ministry maybe) and have him win against whoever he fought his last match with when he was the American Badass. He will retire 20-0 at Mania, and they can retire the Paul Bearer character with the Undertaker just like how Undertaker, Bearer, and VKM have mentioned before. :worship: Thoughts on that?
6. Sunny can return if she wants. Hell, maybe she could actually help the women's wrestling. I doubt she could though.

1. Sheffield - i hope he doesnt return. i have no desire to see an injure prone austin wanna be running around saying "yep yep yep! what it do!" even with a gimmick change the guy still resembles a human Shrek and just generally comes across as goofy and uncomfortable.

2. Goldust - He has been sitting around for a long time and WWE hasnt used him...I doubt they are looking to do it now.

3. Jericho - if he keeps that slow. monotone. style. of. talking. then fuck it, stay away. everything that ever made jericho fun and energetic was gone in his last run and i hated it with dripping fangs. i still dont understand that repackaging. i do think he will return though but not at extreme rulez. way too soon.

4. Batista - he will come crawling back to vince and vince will allow him back but only after the usual "return to wwe embarrassment". for example, the year+ of nothingness for christian (first match back was a loss to swagger) and then there is the big show who was rewarded with a broken nose at WM for his return. there are plenty of other examples. batista will not start off vs cena, for example, thats for sure, he will be a babyface before turning heel after months of BS.

5. 'Taker - rumors say a rematch at summerslam vs taker. i hope not. two wm matches (both losses for HHH) were enough and a third win does nothing for taker...and HHH winning at summerslam after losing twice at wm to taker do nothing either. no one gets over. he needs to stay off tv and only be used every year at WM time...like some dark spirit haunting the event.

6. Sunny - 20 years ago no one could be compared to her. there was elizabeth...then sherri raised the bar. but sunny created the mold for what a wwe diva would be. too bad no one since has had her comfortable feel in front of the camera or her charisma and pure magnetism. but a run in todays wwe? i can imagine her being an early victim of Kharma after she debuts but other than that....i dont see sunny in wwe.

1. Skip will return as soon as he is fully recovered from injury. VKM loves Skip. It makes sense to have him feud with Corre or Nexus, but I think they need him to join back with the Nexus (since Wade kicked him out) and feud with the Corre. Two Heel Groups though.
2) IF Goldust returns it will be to superstars. Nobody will care. Listen, Goldust was very entertaining in the attitude era, but people don't like gimmicks anymore.
3) Jericho WILL return. Not at Extreme Rules though. By Summerslam expect a Jericho v Orton feud. Will the fans get behind Jericho when he returns?
4) I DONT THINK he will. Never say never, but even before he left he was saying he only had a few years left in wrestling. I don't think he "loves" the business like other guys do.
5) Taker will be gone for a while, and I think he will come out to Johnny Cash again with the trenchcoat. It was a nice shakeup to his original entrance.
6) We will NOT see Sunny return. I have heard this for 2 years. It is not happening.

Random thread, but ok let's do this.

Skip Sheffield will probably return as a face. I remember reading a few months ago that they wanted to make him into a top face, so I see him coming back in that form on Raw. Goldust is history. It's not like they need him anymore. Jericho will probably be back very soon now that he's done dancing and I bet he will be a face on Raw. Batista I'm not sure about, he might return to either brand and hopefully put over some future stars but I doubt that would happen and we'd get stuck with him as world champion again instead. Taker will probably be gone for a VERY long time, as in probably not until winter to prepare for Wrestlemania. He'll still come out to Johnny Cash's Aint No Grave from now on until he retires and the new trenchcoat he had will likely be returning with him. Finally, Sunny? Why would she return? There's no reason for her to return because she's past her prime and would not be much of an asset right now.

1. Skip will return as soon as he is fully recovered from injury. VKM loves Skip. He was lovable on NXT the fans loved him, Yep Yep Yep What it do! But he played the monster type of character pretty well too, look at his work with nexus. Decent on the mic, and a good in ring performer.

2)Sad thing is gimmicks are not what the people want anymore. Yes taker has a gimmick and so does Kane, but when you have had a career like them they are allowed to do it. Dustin could be a trainer for the company. He has a great wrestling mind, and he has lost weight. Some say tough enough trainer, I can see him in a Bret Hart role. Where he comes in and tells the kids, "Listen, you may be told here is a ball run with it. When you do, make it the best you can do."

3) Jericho WILL return. It maybe the big Summerslam Return, or maybe as the RAW GM? Which would keep him free to do outside interests and only needs to be on TV for RAW and PPV.

4) Batista, why pay the money for guy so old, and broken down injury wise, when you have a cheaper version already on TV in Mason Ryan.

5) Taker will be gone for a while. Maybe Survivor Series and set something up for mania. Obviously it will be HHH vs. Taker Streak vs. Career, but I would rather have Taker beat a young heel, and have that heel on raw the next night after Taker announces retirement say that due to the beating he gave taker. Taker has to retire, and that he beat the streak. Also, If michelle stops ****ing him then he will heal faster.

6) Sunny, would fit into todays Diva look, but she is more PG-13 maybe R then PG.

Goldust:

Would love for him to have one final heel run for the WHC. Lose the gimmick, do a Chris Jericho, suit an' all, berate the crowd on how he doesn't care for them and what not.

Likelyhood.

Jobs for younger talent. Retires. Backstage role.

As for the others, Sheffield likely to end up as a mid-carder, sounds like he maybe surplus to requirements, might even end up back in FCW or NXT.

Jericho. Come on guys, he will come back as a face. Based on his twittering with JR, would be nice to see him replace JR in his Extreme Rules Match. Can see him feuding with The Miz or Alberto Del Rio. If he comes back as a heel, a definite Orton feud.

Batista. Not really bothered. Quite likely he'll return. Unlikely it will have me on the edge of my seat.

Taker. At this stage in his career, he is just a PPV guy. He has literally a handful of matches left. Likelyhood, Taker VS. HHH Rematch at Wrestlemania. Kind of obvious who would win that. What I would love. Taker VS. Sting. Unlikely I know, but if it's ever going to happen. It will happen at this Wrestlemania. What won't happen. Taker VS. Cena at Wrestlemania. Which I'm surprised about. Thought that would be a shoe-in.

Sunny. Who cares? I'm sorry but I have no interest such a return. It would be about as worse as Eve becoming the Divas Champion. But not as worse as Brie Bella becoming Divas Champion. Have you heard her on the mic!!! What were you think WWE Creative :banghead:.

Hopefully, Awesome Kong, or 'Kharma', will ignite my interest in the 'Women's' WWE section.

Sheffield, honestly I'd like to see him return cause he has the potential to be one of the new breed of powerhouses (like Masters when he debuted)

Goldust is close to retiring but he still has something left in the tank, which he showed in the minor fued with DiBiase. In My opinion Goldust has one run left, then he may become a trainer or something

Honestly,as much as he is beloved by all his fans, a lot of people want him to retire, he goes through several surgeries per year and soon he may be in the same boat as edge, one bad bump and you're in a wheelchair (this years wrestlmania dive) In my opinion undertaker should have one more wrestlmania match, get to 20, and retire, because what no one wants to see what happens when a wrestler refuses to stop and pays for it dearly.

Jericho and Batista, they'll be back soon, jericho in a matter of months or even weeks, Batista might do a movie or TV appearence and then return when he realises wrestling is all he's good for. (face it this MMA crap is NEVER going to happen)

1) when will skip sheffield return? or will he ever return? will he get fired before he returns?
His profile has never moved from the superstar's page. I totally think he will and hopefully he does good.

2)when will golddust return?
I honestly don't know. I don't see a spot for him right now for him to do anything significant.

3)will jericho return?
Maybe a few months, and he'll feud with Orton unless they totally exclude that Orton punted him in the head.

4)will batista return?
If he wants money he will.

5)when undertaker returns will he still be coming out to johnny cash? will he wear his new trenchcoat? (the one he wore at WM 28)
Yes. I don't now why they'd only do that for the build up to Wrestlemania.

6) will we see the return of sunny?
Full time, no. But I say a few appearances.

1) I am sure skip sheffield will return, vince has high hopes for him as a babyface. he has potential and the strength as long as he changes his finisher, the clothesline sucked as a finisher.

2) Goldust is expected to return sometime in mid 2011 from what i heard and is supposed to retire next year but he had a great career with multiple titles.

3) I am hoping chris jericho comes at extreme rules to have a surprise match or something, it could work we only have five matches on the card so far, he could make six.

4) I have high doubts about michael tarver returning, even when he was in nexus, he did not stand out much and did not even have a finisher, i do not know about him returning soon.

5) Undertaker will eventually return but probably not until mid 2011 until his body heals and i hope he retires at WM28 to preserve his health.

6) I do not know much at all about Sunny so i cant speculate on her.

To be honest I see a lot of these superstars being made to wait with what has been happening recently. We have seen so many returns that I can't see Vince wanting the spotlight taken off certain indivuals.

But saying that I do see some key returns in the near future.

Chris Jericho. I say he returns on SmackDown! during an Orton vs Rhodes match. I think Jericho is the perfect man for helping Cody Rhodes get over. So I say after the match Rhodes had beaten Orton, Jericho pretends to be Rhodes' friend but then hits him with a codebreaker. Great feud.. Then should go onto Raw and challenge for the WWE Title with The Miz.

Next up is Sheffield. Wouldn't be suprised if Vince keeps having these massive tag matches at Summerslam, like the Team WWE vs Nexus match. This year we get a face stable vs Corre who have since booted Zeke out and hired David Otunga. It is a 5 vs 5 match. The other stable maybe main eventers such as Jericho, Miz, Kofi, Big Show and JoMo vs Corre and one other member. At Summerslam Sheffield makes his return as the last member of the Corre.

As for the others. The two that stand out are Batista and The Undertaker. As much as I liked Batista I think he will find some way into MMA whether that UFC or not. As for Undertaker, I am going to go out on a limb here and say that he loses at Mania and retires. That way even if Taker wins and retires the streak would no longer be profitable so why not have him lose instead and have a spot where he finally dies. Have a massive flashback and the ring collapsing and shit. Epic lol.

When people say "the WWE fans don't like gimmicks anymore" that is not true.. maybe you don't but many still do. I for one. I don't know how much income the WWE make compared to 10+ years ago but it definitely does not seem more popular now than back then so it's not like it's growing bigger and bigger with a gimmickless roster.. I'm not saying it is on the decline (infact I don't have a clue I just watch it) but I do remember a time when you couldn't leave the house without some 3:16 reference somewhere or other. I think if the WWE produced more gimmicks and had a good mix of realism/gimmicks then it would do no harm..instead of going all MMA and realistic more often than not. Cody Rhodes status seems to come on heaps since being giving his mask gimmick. I don't know who writes for the WWE (as I said I am just a fan and don't know a great deal about backstage happenings) but they really seem to have lost it as far as creating original/good/gripping gimmicks and storylines.. I think that is the problem..the new WWE fans have been fed rubbish gimmicks in general. I like Golddust I hope he returns for one last run before leaving.. he deserves a good storyline send off or a midcard title run.

I don't care much for Batista and bringing Sunny back wouldn't do much for me either. I am sure we have not seen the last of Jericho and The Undertaker.

At this point, the streak is more about respect than profit.

Taker is such an icon of wrestling that they can't chance giving the streak to an up and comer and having that person turn out to:

A) Not make it in the business
B) Jump ship to TNA
C) Get a career ending injury
D) ... You get the idea.

And you can't give it to an established guy like Trips, because it does nothing for either wrestler.

The streak is Taker's legacy. The only way to keep it from being tarnished is to keep it from being broken. They've gone too far and built it up so much that anything less would be an insult to pretty much the single most respected man in sports entertainment today, and possibly ever.

WWE painted themselves into a corner. The streak cannot end.
