You know the series by now, I'd hope, but for those of you who don't, here's the run down:

• Former talents of TNA are to be critiqued regarding their work with TNA, and only their work with TNA for the basis of these polls.
• Any work from the performer that was not done during his/her tenure during TNA should not factor into your vote.
• You can vote them either a success, a bust or in-between if you don't feel they deserve either extreme.

In addition to your vote, I'd like to know why you feel the way you do. Why was this particular charater a succes, a bust or in-between?

Next in the series is Johnny Devine.

I was trying to consider ways in which to consider Devine an in-between because I always thought he had potential to do something particularly memorable with TNA, but I just can't think of anything outside of perhaps his involvement with Serotonin, which I attribute the success of much more to Raven and Kazarian than I do Devine or Bentley, who was awful.

All-in-all I'd have to say bust simply because aside from that single X Division championship, his list of accomplishments is shorter than Val Venis' towel.

This is a really rough question, but definitely merited. I haven't participated in one of these before; I'm not sure whether my answer should be merited via the performers time with the company regarding himself or his contribution to the company.

I'm going to try to cross-reference my opinions and say bust:

It was a good experience for Devine, and likely the peak of his career (though that remains to be seen), but for TNA and for Devine it was a bust, and the worst possible one at that

Really, this was a guy who had a lot of momentum going in with Team Canada that was all cut short by a stabbing that, not to detract from anything he could have done or TNA could have done with him, most definitely could have been the end of his time on Earth, period. He was the best Team Canada member on the stick (not including D'amore) and great in the ring. He was a bust purely in the sense that he had so much he could have aspired to and, after his exceptional recovery, they no longer had anything to really do with him except for jerk around as a third wheel in couple of stables, eventually being the Dudleyz third wheel. Bust, an absolute depressing and shameful one, but a bust nonetheless

I would also have to say bust because the guy did nothing that was memorable in his stay in Tna. His feuds were not memorable and neither was his X division championship reign

As much as I like Devine I am going with bust here. He was a underrated talent who I feel really wasn't used to his full potenional. I mean yeah he did have that X divsion title regin but how memorable was that. It could also be argued he wasn't even a strong champion when he had the title.

Overall tna dropped the ball on Devine and he really didn't do anything important other then his stuff in factions and his X divsion title regin.

IDR's at it again!...these threads are fun.

To be honest with you, I have completely forgotten about Johnny Devine until I saw this thread lol. That's what his career pretty much is: forgettable. He was just another one of those uninspired, boring, forgettable wrestlers, like Carlito. The closest thing of success that Johnny Devine has ever accomplished was being Team 3D's lackey....that's it. That's my view on the guy..

Leaning towards bust

From all the Canadian X Cup Members/ Team Canada Faction he is defiantly the one most forgotten about. I personally liked him but just like a lot of good wrestlers... it's hard to get over in this business.

Petey Williams was arguably the best wrestler/athlete out of them all and even he got his walking papers. Roode and EY holding strong!

I had to look the guy up online and I don't remember him or anything that he did while in TNA. It seems that the high point of his career has been a 20 day run as TNA X-Division Champion that took place about 2.5 years ago. So yeah, this guy is a total and absolute bust.

i'm saying bust against my heart here. i loved his work, but he never found his plce in tna.

i hoped for a while that during the "copy gimmicks from legends" period, he'd come out as "mr. adequate", a sort of poor man's curt hennig, but it never happened.

Sadly I would have to say Johnny Devine was a bust in TNA. I had completely forgotten he had won the X division title.

He had talent but TNA just didn't utilize him to his full potential and just didn't know what to do with him.

I have to agree that he was a bust. Anything noteworthy in his career was when he was a tag-along with Team 3-D or Team Canada. Even when he had the X-Division title, it was stupid that he had it to begin with. In terms of his skills in the ring, they were so-so and when it came to the rest of the X-Division, he fell towards the bottom of the barrel. All he did was leave you ticked off that he was getting a push and other guys in the division weren't. So I say he was a bust

So, i'm a little late, but i'd like to say: I loved Johnny Devine. He had the look, the style, and the sweetest snap suplex I've seen in a few years. That said, he seemed to be part of the X-Division in the era after AJ/Joe/Daniels, where nothing mattered. I think he had a lot of potential, and could still be a star, if he hadn't been so injury prone early on.
