Stevie Richards To Get A Push?

Its great to see Stevie on tv again,and winning.I honestly think the only reason hes gotten any kind of push is because of the lack of talent in ECW.Whens the last time you saw Stevie week in week out. Stevie is a neighborhood hero of sorts.Being from philadelphia (ECW) its good to see one of our own do good BWO!!!!!

Stevie Richards will never be a main eventer, and that's a shame because I rate him very highly. He could be used on the ECW mid card to help push guys up which I think he's doing with Thorn at the moment.

Yeah I agree. As you could see from ECW last week. It's really just a matter of time before Thorn ends this with a squash or puts Stevie out with injury. Theres no way in hell he will ever main event even if it is ECW. He's had to much of a jobbing past for the crowd to care about him. He really isn't all that bad in the ring,He could outwrestle that joke Thorn anyday and most of the ECW roster.

I'm sure this short push will end this week or after. But I do expect to see yet another match between the two this week or next Then It's more than likely back to putting people over in the mid card for Stevie.

See what I hope happens for Stevie is that they have him as mid card on ECW winning some, losing some. Not jobbing but just as a normal wrestler, maybe when it goes to 2 hours then put the TV title on him or whatever after all he's a 21 time hardcore champion and you can't get any more ECW original than Stevie!

I think it would be nice to see Stevie get a decent push. Although it's tough to push more than 2 or 3 guys when there are only 12 wrestlers on the entire roster! Stevie is not the most talented wrestler in the world but he is more than adequate to be one of the top guys on the WWECW roster.

I'd have to say that if you saw his match with Jericho on Stevie Night Heat back in mid '04 (a match that spanned an entire half hour and two commercial breaks) there would be no doubt that if handled properly, Stevie could hang in a upper-mid card feud... but only as a heel. I defintely couldn't really buy him as a face at that level. Seeing as how he utterly DOMINATED Y2J for two-thirds of the match in true heel fashion, we all know Stevie can work heel well. Jericho and Stevie put on probably the best contest that the live audience saw that night-and it was a friggen heat taping!
I'd say put him in a mini-feud with Punk, possibly have him eek out a few chance wins, but with arguable circumstances. Kinda like the feud Taker had with Matt Hardy back in '02 while he was in the midst of a title feud with Lesnar. Hardy got a great rub off of Taker in that feud, but it didn't ruin Taker's credibility and if made Hardy look like more of a threat. I'd say have Morrison take on Stevie as an ally and throw him at Punk a few times to soften him up, possibly beating him once or twice in screwjob finishes. Stevie could be a final stepping stone for Punk's quest at Morrison's title. Just ideas...

He has always had the ability and the mic skills to be a mega heel. If Vince was really high on him since the beginning, then why hasn't he gotten a push in any of the brands. ECW seems to be dominated by Big Daddy V for the last couple of weeks and unless he's becoming a main-eventer for the next ppv, its worthless. Someone like Stevie Richards needs to be in the ECW title picture because it's become a two man race. They could really get him over if they added another title and put it on him. ECW World TV title maybe? I mean Raw has the IC, Smackdown has the US, why not the Television title on ECW. Him being a secondary champion, or a champion in general would be entertaining. Remember, this guy main-evented in the FIRST EVER ECW ppv and did a great job in that match. If Punk beats Morrison this Sunday, I wouldn't mind seeing a Stevie and Punk feud as opposed to a V vs. Punk feud.

They Didn't Ban all Chokeholds. you have to check with wwe if you want to use a chokehold before the match to see if it's acceptable. and thats the same move that Christopher Daniles does. Stevie deserves the push he is getting for lots of reasons. one of them being that he is one of the only ECW Originals left in ECW.

the thing about stevie is that he needs a big push, i watched him in that four way eliminiation chase and he was amazing simply put, if the brand needs a main eventer it might as well be stevie, but hey lets see how the next couple of weeks play out, i just hope that he doesnt get in a feud with morisson coz hed probably get jobbed out, i would love to see an underdog gimmick going on just to see he would do with it
