Steiner's "miracle" recovery?

Ok this does not add up at the moment. Joe attacked Steiner at the pay per view. They did not reveal what exactly had happened, just made it look like Joe did something really bad to Steiner.... then on the next Impact he came out quiet with some kind of mask to hide his "injuries". Great idea, it made me think Joe and the nation of violence would eventually kill off the entire MEM until only angle and sting remain.... but it looks like that's no longer a possibility since a few hours ago on this week's Impact we see Steiner come out without the mask hiding no injury of any sort.

So.... what exactly has happened here? Have they scrapped Steiner's "injuries" from Joe completely, or did he make a "miracle" recovery? Honestly, I like TNA but sometimes the stories just do not make sense.

Hmm..missed this weeks and up until the report of what happened i had guessed he'd remove the mask and reveal a "tat" like Joes and swear allegiance to "the nation of violence" ...but with that recent event i have no idea...sorry.

This is why, unless the writing changes drastically, TNA will never be a "real" threat to WWE. Also, if TNA would improve on their writing and production, it would force WWE to improve their product, and we see another "Monday Night Wars" type of situation. Which would ultimately be good for the wrestling business and great if you are a fan

I am thinking that TNA couldn't afford to get any decent special effects makeup for Steiner's cut up face, so they scrapped the whole thing. The whole knife thing has to go, what's next guns?

Steiner is one of my favorites of all time... awesome promos (though he messes up sometimes, it just seems like part of the deal because he gets so pissed), awesome look (although he f&^%ed it up with the stupid chest tattoo), and in-ring stuff (suplexes, Frankensteiners; especially back in the day).

I like the idea from "makeitvab" about the Nation of Violence "tat", but they probably couldn't afford the extra facepaint for that either. They'll probably just bring in some more fat Samoans for the part.

haha i was thinking the same thing as soon as i saw steiner. i was like..wow, he healed up pretty darn quick now. like someone said, tna probably couldnt afford a real deal special effects person, who knows, maybe is wasnt even steiner under the mask....ok over analyzing there.

tna does need to step up their storylines, the also need to stay consistant. they tend to cut off storylines and begin from new again, which i hate. russo has always done things like that in the wwe. i guess they feel that we fans wouldnt catch it or something...

I did hear Mike Tenay mention during the Gauntlet match, that Steiners injuries from Joe had been opened up, and he mentioned Steiner wearing the mask last week.

Joe drew blood from the top of Steiner's head and he bled all over his face from it. Steiner came out and "hid his face" because of the embarassment – not just the "injury".

He was wearing a hat again to cover his head this week. I'm OK with how it was booked.

yeh my money's on another dumb story line, give steiner a couple of weeks and he will have a penis on his face to, witch will start a war beetween the Nation of Violence and land of freaks, i see them giving steiner a shovel or bucket to fight people with. Seems like a bit of a cockfest to me

Agreed 100%, i may bag TNA but i sercretly want them to succeed to make WWE writers pick up there game. Same as during the WCW/WWF monday night wars as much as lots loved to bag WCW and rightly so given it seems to house most of the staff that is now in TNA.

WWF would have been alot more tame had WCW never been a global entity too.

I think that they should have written him off of tv for a couple of weeks so that it seems like he actually did something.

I dont like it when they suddenly just stop something thinking the fans will not think anything of it because it reminds me of wwe.The wwe seems to do it more often than tna.

While some of the storylines in tna may be bad at least they try to run with them for a while to see if they might work instead of pulling the plug on them immediately.

I just finished iMPACT! and questioned the same thing. Last week I was entirely interested to see the follow-up story they'd run on Scott Steiner's face.. then bam, he randomly walks out to the ring without even so much as a small scar on his face. :wtf:

A week ago, he was "so beaten" he had to wear a full face mask to hide everything. Now, not even so much as a simple scratch?! I get that scars heal, but not that fucking quick. So either Steiner is a mutant similar to Wolverine, or T.N.A's creative staff is as ******ed as the Eugene character.

the writing is so bad. Nash probably told em that the idea was lame to make Steiner look ridculous (like he doesnt look ridculously bad enough already), so he probably had some back stage politics to pull it for his buddy

Once again folks, Steiner was seen wearing a hat still. He covered his face in shame after the PPV – not because it was full of scars. His head was still covered. That's what was opened up by Joe. Not his face.

Christ almighty you people find anything to complain about when it isn't by Vince's hand, don't you?

Its just another example of a TNA storyline.

I'm a big TNA fan. But they are starting to lose me as a fan due to some of their bad choices in storyline. In order for TNA to pick up they need to go back to the roots, focus on the x-division. Focus on WRESTLING!! Have storylines, but eliminate the comedy.

And please! someone explain to me how you get rid of Petey Williams and Sonjay Dutt!!?!

Get rid of the comedy? What comedic value has TNA provided in the last month? I've barely laughed outside of the couple of Don West's heel jokes.

IMO their storylines have really been coming into focus over the last six months, plus some.
