Spring 2011 Top 10

Cena's #1 In My Heart

Getting Noticed By Management
Alright, Wrestlezone.com forums.. you ready to get down to the nitty gritty and show your balls?

Well I don't know what the F I was just talking about... but I want to know... who are the top 10 wrestlers/superstars in the World today.

Basically if Mr. McMahon just gave you the WWE, you could sign ANYONE you wanted... who would your Top 10 Talents be?!? WWE, TNA, ROH, whatever else you follow... at this day and age.. I'm just interested in the public's opinion as to who the 10 best performers for a Monday Night Raw or a TNA Impact would be.

I'm not talking about just wrestling ability, and I'm not talking about just stardom... if you combined all the traits of a WWE Wrestler(they don't exist do they? But they do for this...) who are your Top 10 Superstars(i guess).

And for arguments sake.. tell us why you picked your top guy as your top guy at least.

---------------------------------------

Now for my list, I'm not going to use any ROH guys.. or Mexican guys.. or Japanese guys... because I don't follow that kind of wrestling. I only watched ROH when it was on HDnet, and no disrespect to them, but I'm probably only going to use TNA and WWE for this, because well.. they are a hell of a lot bigger stars.. and if I'm running a company like WWE.. your going to need stars.

1. Fortune(AJ Styles, Robert Roode, James Storm, and Kazarian)

-Fuck it.. to save space on my Top 10, I want these guys as a package on my show. Take this guys right from TNA right now.. give them each million dollar contracts.. they deserve it.

When I look at Fortune.. I think... this is what a pro wrestler is suppose to look like. This is what a pro wrestler is suppose to wrestle like! This is what a pro wrestler is suppose to talk like! The intensity and talent they bring to the ring each week is straight up exciting for me. These guys refuse to be treated as anything less than top level talent. (Which I think their working on in TNA)

2. CM Punk
-If Fortune is the face of the franchise, who's going to be the top heel? How about the in-ring mastermind, CM Punk. The way he plays his character and the way he works a match is straight up dirty sick, can you imagine the matches he could have with Fortune?

3. Kurt Angle
-Angle is without a doubt a wrestling machine. Defiantly one of the most respected and experienced wrestlers in the locker room these days. But it's his age that allows me to value Fortune and CM Punk more than the Olympic Gold Medalist himself.

4. John Cena
-I was starting to think this list was looking pretty pimp. But let's be real, were going to need the biggest draw in pro wrestling today. I think it's obvious that if you want to create new TOP level talent.. your going to need some TOP level stars to put them over.

5. Mr. Anderson
-Well I'm a big fan of Anderson, so it might be surprising to find me put him up this high. However, I do think Anderson truly is Top 10 material when your talking WWE/TNA talent. He gets it.. he gets what he has to do in this business now. Injury prone? What injuries? The time a chair somehow winded up going into the back of his head? He hasn't gotten injured at all in TNA and he's had a hell of a lot more rougher matches than he had in the WWE.

The way he executes his promos is great and I think he's the most entertaining wrestler in the business. His in-ring work ain't too shabby anymore either. He seems to really have improved in TNA, each match his flow continues to improve on his own moveset.. and he's a pretty good seller.

6. The Motorcity Machinegunns(Chris Sabin and Alex Shelley)
-Well they may be small but damn their good. Chris Sabin in the Xdivison Xscape Match proved to me that he can do just about everything that Sin Cara is doing in the WWE, except he won't botch every other move. Their mic skills aren't half bad either.

7. Rey Mysterio Jr.
-Call me crazy but the kids are nuts for this guy, if anyone is behind John Cena, I don't think it's Randy Orton... its Rey Mysterio.

8. John Morrison
-This guys look will get him over alone. Then you add in his athleticism. IDK, I'm just saying.. we got a star in the making right now if your watching Monday Night Raw... well after R-Truth gets settled in as the heel, John Morrison is going to be the face to fuck him up. As good as a heel as R-Truth is being, John Morrison will become that much better of a face when he goes over him. Bottom line.

9. The Corre(Wade Barrett, Justin Gabriel, Heath Slater, and Ezekial Jackson)
-Yeah of course, their in my sig. Their young and their good. Well Wade Barrett and Justin Gabriel are guaranteed stars... not so sure about the other two quite yet.. but all together I rank them at number 9.

10. Drew McIntrye
-Could have gone a lot of ways with number 10, but lets give Drew McIntrye some love... the guys aggression is almost unmatched in the WWE. If anyone seen him at The Elimination Chamber you know what I'm talking about. I just hope we get to see more of that.

I too have not followed ROH as close as others who post here, so I too will not really be referencing them...

1) CM Punk... Has shown he can work as both heel+face, and is brilliant at both (both in ring and out..)

2) John Cena For the reasons you mentioned... hes a draw.. talk about his in ring talent, but he will have a reaction no matter where he is (Positive or negative based on age range) and I do think if booked correctly, he won't be superman cena (that everyone hates..)

3) AJ Styles... I'd give him his shot in the bigtime... I'd love to see him get it instead of languishing in TNA as he is now (sorry, I am a big WWE fan and think he'd do well if he came over..)

4) John Morrison+Miz (if you can include multiple large groups/tag teams, I'm lumping these 2 in together..) Morrison has some potential (I think he'd do better as the cocky smarmy heel) and Miz is someone who is awesome on the mic (at least forthis day and age.) but also is willing to do anything, go anywhere, and be on every other show that wants him... He's someone who gets your name and your product on multiple shows by just doing whatever is asked of him.... That's crucial right there..

5) MCM... I'd bring them in to fued with whatever other tag teams I end up having in said fictional company... They're a damn good tag team and would instantly build up the title.

6) Wade Barrett He has the look, he has the mic skills, and he has the ability to become a top player in the WWE... I'd keep him away from any and all "super groups" and allow him to just be himself and build himself up...

7)Daniel Bryan (I'd turn him heel).... He's a damn fine wrestler and someone who could go for my upper mid card/occaisional man event feud..

8) Kofi Kingston.. With the right push (that i thought was happening on raw with randy orton) he can become a main eventer... without it, hes still a pretty good draw, with the baility to challenge for the mid card titles... either way I'll take him

9) Cody Rhodes bright future ahead of him....

10) Great Khali (Kidding) In reality I'd take Santino Marella, because regardless of his lack of any real push, or anything other than mostly random humorous backstage skits, he gets a pretty large pop regardless of where he is... He's pretty good in the ring (whether it's a regular match, or he's getting squashed..) and he is a damn entertaining "som un a gun" (yeah he's on a shortlist of my personal favorite segments when he's involved..) so I'd take him just for the entertainment value of it all..

Notable people I left out..
Kurt Angle: I'd love to have him if he was healthy and/or younger... Yeah he can still have great matches whenever, but I'd be damn scared he'd be paralyzed or die in the ring and therefore don't want him anywhere near my "company" in a wrestling role..

Randy Orton: he's good as a heel or a face, but I took others above him for versatility... I don't know if he can play anything deeper than who he is now (whether he's cheered or not..) He can't be anyone other than a slightly "wild" guy who either boots heels or boots faces...

1) Orton - you need to build any company around a youngish guy who can work in the ring and is good on the mic. Orton as already had a great career in wwe and in ten years will be viewed as one of the best ever.

2) AJ styles - amazing in the ring. Not great on the mic but his in ring work makes up for that.

3) Punk - Similar to Orton in that he is great in the ring and great on the mic. Great potential to be massive in the WWE and can be heel or face.

4) Chris Jericho - don't care if he is dancing or singing he is still one of the best in world at what he does which is sports entertainment. Great in the ring and maybe one of the best ever one the mic. He can be a hilarious face or a sinister heel.

5) Angle - I love Kurt Angle. Amazing in the ring and he is good in proms and little segments. Maybe a bit old but that does not stop him producing great matches.

6) MCMG- have to have a great tag division and these two would make that a reality. They funny on the mic and their matches are insane.

7) John morrison- love watching his matches they are always very entertaining.

8) Hernandez - This guy is almost 300lbs yet he can jump cleanly over the top rope. That is impressive. He is matches are always solid.

9) Miz - charismatic and always improving in the ring.

10) Swagger - opposite of the miz. Great in the ring and is improving on the mic.
