Occasional Pre-Show
I've read and understood the rules of this forum regarding spamming, but I just have to ask - Why so serious?

Honestly, and I don't want to sound like I'm trolling here, but man, the rules here are stricter than a Nazi detention camp. I'm sorry that I quoted another user and replied with "Agreed", but did I really need to be banned for a week? What was I supposed to say? "Agreed, because [enter the exact same reasons the quoted user said]"?

I think Wrestlezone is a great site, but the forum is incredibly tough to work around. An online community should be easy to navigate around, with discussion flowing freely and easily, but here, and I'm sure I'm not the only one that feels this way, I'm always feeling that I have to tread lightly, and I don't know why. It's not like this place is some Christian Faith forum where people get offended easily (and there are forums like that), yet the rules here are so strict. Other Wrestling forums are so much more lax, and that makes them so much better (I'm prepared for someone to say "Then just don't post here", and to that I just say that I like hearing the opinions of some of the users here, so I won't stop posting). Or it could just be down to the mods who, credit to them, are incredibly vigilant, but dudes, can you find something better to do with your time than going around messaging us saying "You have received an infraction!"?

Bottom line, I think whoever came up with this "no spamming" (and "Spamming" isn't even the correct word. When this forum gets attacked by actual trolls, then you'll know what Spamming is) rule is an idiot. I'm probably going to get banned for posting this, because I'm offending the mods here, but whatever, just throwing it out there.

What's up with Godwin's Law? Get a new reference pool. Read Nineteen Eighty-Four, by George Orwell; it's wonderful.

Come on, mate, a warning asking you to provide a reason for an opinion is nowhere near as drastic as killing you via gas chamber. It's really not hard to follow the rules. I'll show you by an example.

Topic: The Hurricane was awesome.

Post:
I hated The Hurricane. He was too goofy for me.
That isn't spam. Hardly earth shattering, and not hard at all. Just learn from the rules that are PMed to all new members and post away.

As for saying "I agree", yeah you can post that and then put your own spin on the opinion, or you can use the PM or Rep system to tell the poster you agree.

Oh, by the way, we did have a troll today. He posted some standard shock images, so I deleted the post and banned him.

The site does seem extremley strict when you first join, trust me ive experienced what you are, although never got banned.

However the longer you post around here, the simpler it becomes, i havent recieved an infraction for quite a while now.

Just think before you type and youll be fine!

A Nazi detention camp? Seriously. You expect us to take you seriosuly when you compare posting on a WRESTLING FORUM to one of the worst atrocities in human history?

You've received three warnings and three infractions for spamming and you didn't get the hint? Again we're supposed to be tking you seriously here? What next threatening with real trolls...oh wait.

There are 18,365 users on this site, they manage to stick to the rules. Why can't you?

I have been a member of this forum for nearly 5 yrs., I have never once had an issue with the spam rules, there are plenty of sections on her that you spam a storm up, post in those sections if you can't be troubled to type a few sentences, a discussion does not consist of someones making a point and bunch of tards simply saying "yeah I agree", discussion consists of you explaining WHY you agree, it's not a hard thing to do, this place has literally hundreds of members that have zero issue with that, and really the mods enforce the rules like Nazis?, you're gonna compare people who enforce rules on a wrestling forums to a bunch of worthless hate filled clowns the went around the world waging war and wrongfully killing jews? surly you can see just how unbelievably fucking stupid that is. bottom line is you're not locked in a concentration camp being gassed, you come here of your own free will, and you can leave here when ever you want if you don't like how the place is run, personally I feel the mods do a terrific job keep this site clean of all the shit, and the discussion flowing, and over the years this place has done nothing but gotten better, each group of admins has done an amazing job picking up and improving on what the admins before them have accomplished

and "attacked by trolls" who the fuck are you Charlie Sheen?, people have been making empty threats on this place for years, I promise you nobody here is shaking in there boots, trolls get dealt with fairly quickly

I've read and understood the rules of this forum regarding spamming, but I just have to ask - Why so serious?

You've had 7 Discipline notices, 5 of which were for spamming. You were sent a PM of the Rules when you first signed up, we have them posted at the top of every forum, and I have generously created a FAQ and posted it in this forum and it's in the navbar of every screen.

So the question I just have to ask is - Why so stupid?

Honestly, and I don't want to sound like I'm trolling here, but man, the rules here are stricter than a Nazi detention camp.
Worse. Because we don't discriminate just one group of people. We kill everyone equally.

I'm sorry that I quoted another user and replied with "Agreed"
Apology accepted.

but did I really need to be banned for a week?
Yes, you did. Why? Because you received the number of Infraction points which the system automatically bans you for a week.

What was I supposed to say? "Agreed, because [enter the exact same reasons the quoted user said]"?
Or...you know...nothing at all?

We have a rep system and PMs, you could have just told the poster you agreed through that.

I think Wrestlezone is a great site, but the forum is incredibly tough to work around.
Hundreds of active posters prove otherwise.

An online community should be easy to navigate around, with discussion flowing freely and easily
It does. But saying "Agreed" is not discussion, it's just worthless words taking up space that could be used for real discussion.

but here, and I'm sure I'm not the only one that feels this way, I'm always feeling that I have to tread lightly, and I don't know why.
Because you're stupid?

Just taking a guess. Don't really know you at all, but given your inability to follow rules, that's my guess.

The WWE Universe forums were a lot more lax. Talk about a "much better" forum.

Or a forum dominated by stupidity and worthless spamming. Either way.

Or it could just be down to the mods who, credit to them, are incredibly vigilant, but dudes, can you find something better to do with your time than going around messaging us saying "You have received an infraction!"?
We don't say that at all. We actually have a very nice system where all we have to do is click a button, and specify why we pressed the button, and you get your Discipline notice. It's easy. Takes 5 seconds.

Bottom line, I think whoever came up with this "no spamming" rule is an idiot.
And I think the people who can't follow the rules which are clearly spelled out in multiple places, are PM'd to you the moment you sign up, which give examples in both the Rules and the FAQ...I think those people are idiots.

So let's review. On one hand we have someone who makes rules to ensure the best quality of posting discussion for anyone who wants to have intelligent discussion, and on the other hand, we have the person who doesn't understand the rules after being warned about 6 previous times and has the ability to read them in multiple places...

Who's the idiot....

(and "Spamming" isn't even the correct word. When this forum gets attacked by actual trolls, then you'll know what Spamming is)
Actually, spamming IS the actual word. Spamming is any undesirable electronic content. Posts that break our rules because they can't follow our fairly simple to understand posting guidelines is spam.

I'm probably going to get banned for posting this, because I'm offending the mods here, but whatever, just throwing it out there.
Nah, no reason to ban you, I'm happy enough pointing out how stupid your post makes you look.

Have a good day!
