Sooo the Wii U

Short hand: I got a shit ton of Christmas money from my extended family and from work. I am currently thinking about getting a Wii U because there are quite a few games I want to play that I can't on my 360 (Zombie U, Mario Kart, Smash Bros, etc.)

The 360 itself has no more use to me, it's a Netflix machine, but it's a Netflix machine that doesn't cost me an extra $200+ that it will to buy the Wii U. (Not to mention the price of the games) Would it be worth my time investing in a Wii U?

Depends what games you are into.

I'd use it for party games like Mario Kart, and smash and when I'm home for work I'd have Zombie U and Wind Waker HD to hold me over. That and it can run Netflix is enough to justify the purchase right?

I'd happily recommend it for Smash Bros. alone.

Mario Maker is coming in 2015.

If Smash alone isn't enough to warrant getting it then Mario Maker puts it way over the top.

Despite my criticisms of the console, Bayonetta 2 is the coolest fucking thing. It alone warrants the price.

I really need to get on that Bayonetta train one of these days. That and 8 player Smash seems pretty cool.

Hyrule Warrriors, Super Mario 3D World and of course, Super Smash Bros.

I'm kind of in the same boat El....er Pancake.

I got like $350-$400 in winnings from one of my fantasy leagues coming to me in a couple weeks. I'm leaning towards using it on a Wii U. I want Smash Bros, as does she as she's become a big fan of playing it on the 3DS.

So I'm contemplating it. I think it'd be a win win for the two of us.
