Something funny about WWE and TNA

Something i just realise, TNA wants to be a wrestling company, yet they book the product like sports entertainment and WWE wants to be sports entertainment but book their product like a wrestling company.

Just look at the WWE product, They've got simple storylines, long wrestling match. Wrestlers telling a story in the ring without having to result to shock value. Push the younger wrestlers while keeping the main event picture interesting. Technically what a wrestling company should be. A wrestling product should be about wrestling and easy but affective storyline.

On the other end, just look at the TNA product. Outside of the x-division what do you got as far as wrestling is concern, nothing really, it's more about short match and off the wall storylines. Some stuff are so complicated that it overshadows the wrestling. Booking and storyline shouldn't be overshadows wrestling. TNA's booking style is sport entertainment booking 101.

So i just funny that TNA who claimed to be a wrestling company is more sport entertainment then the WWE who wants to be sports entertainment and it's more wrestling oriented.

And WWE has HBK, HHH, Edge, Undertaker, Orton, Jericho, Morrison, Bourne, Benjamin, Christian, Daniel Bryan, Kofi Kingston, etc..etc...all better than anyone you mention above.

Plus, WWE actually lets their guys wrestle. TNA just makes all the guys you mentioned as back drop undercarders to Hogan.

What program are YOU watching?

WWE does not let the wrestlers wrestle as they want. Why do you think McIntyre is stuck with the "punch, kick, punch, kick, finisher" moveset? Why do you think Sheamus does the same three or four moves every match, which are mostly squash matches at that? Why do people keep complaining about "Cena only knows five moves"? How is that letting them wrestle as they want?

Yep, wwe puts the focus on the in-ring product by having a different entertainer run the show every week and no one outside the x-division can wrestle even if they have a gold medal that says they can.

Hmm my sarcasm meter exploded.

OP I get what your tyring to say, but you came across as an epic fail. I don't mean that as rude, but the examples you used were not very good. I do agree with you, but I might be able to word it a bit better.

A wrestling program, back before they had weekly live shows and over the top PPV basically were the guys/girls going out and continuing a storyline, starting a storyline, or finishiing a storyline. That was the basics of a wrestling show. Now after Wrestlemania/Clash of the Champions/Raw/Nitro/etc people got bored with the wrestling part of it and they switched to the sports entertainment, where they focused on high risk spots/fast paced action/sex/hardcore violence/etc. Now look at the promotions.

Tna- claims that they will be the alternative to WWE and their "sports entertainment". They have alot of great performers and have a load of potential. Problem is, the stars they have that are the most over are from the world of sports entertainment. Guys like Hogan/Hall/Nash are known for their personalities not their in ring work. The knockouts are led by a group of girls called the Beautiful People who use their sexyness(which they have a ton of btw) as a marketing tool. They can wrestle though, which is nice. The X Division is basically a spotfest everytime out. The matches, while very entertaining, usually lack psychology or tell a story. It seems to be the person that can do the most shit from the turnbuckle wins.
WWE- the OG in this business. They started the art of "sports entertainment" and their guys/girls arnt called wrestlers anymore. Instead they are Divas/Superstars. They do have very ellaborate set designs/production values/pyro/etc. that they use to put their talent over. However, as much as they seem to be moving away from being called wrestling, they have the longest and most coherrent storylines on television. It is usually always good vs evil basic storylines. Easy for the audience to follow and has minimal swerves.
That is why I would argue that WWE is more the wrestling company than TNA, only because TNA relies more on the shock value of Sports entertainment to get their product over. That is just my observation and will happily listen to arguements against it.
