Something about a PPV.

ShinChan

Gone. For. Good.
So as much as I know, the list of WZCW PPVs is as follows:

Gold Rush
Unscripted
Lethal Lottery
Kingdom Come
Apocalypse

Gold Rush has the gimmick of ending a knockout tournament to get the ultimate title shot.

Unscripted is where stipulations of match is decided by voting.

Lethal Lottery is our Royal Rumble, albeit much better.

Kingdom Come is our Mania, albeit again much better.

What's Apocalypse? The captain of a winning team gets the ultimate title shot at Gold Rush? Right?

I have another idea. Now we have had long reigning midcard champs in Eve and Titus lately. Titus is still the champ while Eve's long reign is over.

For everyone of us, our ultimate goal is the WZCW World Heavyweight Championship? Right? So what did Titus and Eve get for their long yet strong midcard title reigns? Nothing.

So my idea is whoever comes out of Kingdom Come as EurAsian Champion and Elite Openweight Champion, both get world title shots at Apocalypse in a Triple threat.

Now the winner obviously gets the world title. So let's say if the world champion retains, then the person he pins/submits aka any of the two midcard champions, that person loses his midcard title to the world champion too. The other midcard champion retains as it is.

Now let's say if one of the midcard champion wins. Of course he gets the world title as well as he retains his title. But the other midcard champion has to relinquish the title.

OOOOORRRRR

Just give the midcard champion (who has had say 6 successful defenses) a title shot at either Meltdown or Ascension.

But something needs to be a reward for the successful midcard champions.

Thoughts?

It's just a regular PPV I believe. Not every event needs a gimmick.

There reward is an amazing title reign that will go down in history. They tried what you mentioned with the Elite X gauntlet where if the champion had 7 successful title defenses they can go for the World title. It didn't last long and I don't think anything like that is coming back any time soon if ever.

What does Titus Avison get out of being EurAsian champion? He's thrived so much as a character in it. It's elevated the belt from filler belt to wow ok I want this belt.

Yeah. The Elite X gauntlet didn't really work. 7 defences to get a title shot and every non tag match you were in was a title match. IIRC S.H.I.T. managed it or got close but otherwise I think the belt changed hands at least once between every other PPV for the year or so we tried it.

7's quite a high defence number. I'm pretty sure the highest EurAsian is 6 or 7 but after that it's 4.

Constantine is the only one to complete the gauntlet before they scraped it
