So what was the point of the NAO reunion??

What's the point in anything that happens in the WWE? It's just entertainment. Personally, I'm a fan of the NAO, whether they have the titles or not. They're nostalgic, Bill Gunn is still good in the ring, they are still entertaining on the mic, and they can apparently still work a small feud. If you're not entertained by them, then I definitely understand why you would make this thread. However, like I mentioned, I had fun with it!

I know NAO are old, but I still think the Usos gained some credibility for beating them for the titles, and I enjoyed the little mini-feud.

'Cause they couldn't get Hillbilly Jim & Uncle Elmer?

Actually, it's pure guesswork, but I think WWE still has visions of reviving the tag team division and figured they'd jump-start it with two of the most recognized wrestlers of all time in that division. They might have aligned Dogg & Billy with the Authority at first to provide some steam for the two guys if they couldn't deliver the goods in the ring by themselves......but the company might have been pleasantly surprised to find the Old Age Outlaws could handle matters on their own, based on their ring performance. Admittedly, they've looked far, far better than I ever thought they would......and face it, the crowd still loves audience participation stuff and the NAO has one of the most famous routines of all.

I think the whole NAO thing was planned for a short run.....and it still is......but the duration is simply going a bit longer than originally planned because it's gone better than expected.......and if the two guys have thoughts of continuing their surprising comeback, we'll have to see what WWE management thinks.

There's not a point. The WWE sucks and has sucked for several years. They are completely complacent with no real competition. The WWE constantly relies on cheap pops from old school wrestlers who are like the NAO; are visibly more out of shape, and how selling how good it used to be the fans.
