So...Obama's a Little Bitch, Huh?

Obama gave a speech to the Muslim world, and pundits argued he was being apologetic, and over stepped bounds when he was being respectful and said "The Great Religion of Islam."

Obama didn't get super tough with North Korea quick enough for some people, and people claimed he was being soft on a country that really can't do anything against anyone.

Obama didn't condemn Iran fast enough, and people claimed he wasn't being fast enough to protect Democracy. Something about wanting to wait for more evidence before condemning the nation you want to keep from nuking Israel being a bad thing.

Obama went to the UN, and told the nations of the world that they couldn't both condemn the United States for acting as the world's police, but at the same time waiting for America to fix their problems.

Obama chastised the Israelis and Palestinians for not working hard enough for the peace that they claim to want.

And, now, Obama has stepped up to Iran. Obama Kicking Some Ass.

Iran's secret underground nuclear base has been discovered, and France, Britain, and the US issued a joint press conference on it. Sarkozy and Brown were their typical "Hey, you shouldn't be doing this" selves. Obama stepped up, and kicked some Iranian ass.

Just some excerpts:

Backed by other world powers, President Barack Obama declared Friday that Iran is speeding down a path to confrontation and demanded that Tehran quickly "come clean" on all nuclear efforts and open a newly revealed secret site for close international inspection. He said he would not rule out military action if the Iranians refuse

Iran is on notice that when we meet with them on Oct. 1 they are going to have to come clean and they are going to have to make a choice" between international isolation and giving up any aspirations to becoming a nuclear power, he said. If they refuse to give ground, they will stay on "a path that is going to lead to confrontation.

Iran is breaking rules that all nations must follow. The size and configuration of this facility is inconsistent with a peaceful program.

So...I thought Obama was a little bitch who didn't know how to play tough? He has shown here what he promised on the campaign trail; that he will practice open dialogue with willing countries, but not be afraid to get tough when he must. Obama has been accommodating to Iran this entire time, much more so than the Bush administration would have been. The Iranians pushed to far, and now Obama is threatening military action.

I'm not gonna lie, I've got a smirk on my face. I can't wait to see how Glenn Beck tries to twist this showing.

I'm proud of Obama. He's shown the face that America should be showing. We'll be peaceful with you for as long as need be, but if you show you are unwilling to act in good faith we will not put up with that shit.

Side Note: Is it just me or has Obama gotten pissed off this week? Chastising the UN, lecturing Israel and Palestine, and now literally telling Iran that he has the finger on the button? Damn.

So. Enough of me jumping up and down in my liberal, bleeding heart happiness. Is Obama's stance against Iran correct? Should he back off? Push forward? Is he too late, or too soon? Or, if you must, try to twist this into a negative. Stake your claim.

He's wanting to attack a country he fears has nuclear weapons and thinks they'd use them? Am I the only one who feels slightly uneasy at that? I think it's great he's stepping up to the mark almost, and I think a lot of people will be happy at what has been said - I'm really not used to seeing anything being said like that. But there's that voice in the back of my head wondering what will happen if Iran refuse his requests.

More specifically, he has gone from "We will negotiate with you over this" to "We've had enough. Either stop trying to circumvent us and breaking international law, or we will stop you ourselves."

Iran with a nuclear weapon is scary because they have openly expressed the will to wipe Israel from the map. While I have openly expressed that I feel we tip toe around Israel way too often, we shouldn't allow a country that has openly said they would wipe out Israel a nuclear weapon. Nothing is stopping the Islamic Clerics from launching it. They've already shown that they don't care for the most basic Shariah Law, so a mass nuclear holocaust of Israel won't bother them.

Were you not around during the Bush Administration? :lmao: He's not saying he will attack with nuclear weapons, if I represented it as such. Obama is saying that if Iran keeps playing "hide and seek" with their nuclear sites, if I can be so crude, he will get rid of those sites himself.

But there's that voice in the back of my head wondering what will happen if Iran refuse his requests.

Honestly? Iran has already said they will open the secret underground facility to International Inspection. So they won't be sparking a war that way.

The only way an attack, or war, will break out is if Iran gets a nuclear weapon and refuses to get rid of it. Then we will attack, with Israeli and perhaps even European troops behind us, to wipe out the nuclear facilities. We can't allow crazy people to have nuclear weapons. Especially those who don't have any reason not to fire them. North Korea has Russia and China up its ass to dissuade them from firing. Iran has no such check.

I think that Obama is doing what everyone in America wants him to do. That is, he is representing America the way that we should be represented. I think that with him criticizing the UN and such, he is saying what everyone in America wants him to. The republicans would never admit that, but I think that it's true. I certainly am proud of him.

He may be getting tough on foreign policy but he is still ineffective as hell with domestic issues. It's not entirely his fault, the entire democratic party has become the Washington Generals. They behave in such a spineless fashion to critiques from republicans. They cave way to easily. It obvious the Republicans are going to oppose any agenda Obama presents so the dems should forget partisanship and show some spine. They have a majority in the house and senate right? Start acting like the Globetrotters and dominate the all-white team.
