And I've yet to see this answered.

In the WZ Awards, I saw a couple of people say that I "don't leave my comfort zone", and that "I only start threads I have pie charts to"...or stuff like that.

My question is...why DON'T I post about? Where does this fictitious theory that I only post about certain things come from?

I'm just curious.

It probably comes form you seeming to be an expert on the things you do discuss. It's about perception.
 
I just have in my sig because I find it funny, but I don't really believe in that statement.

You don't seem to post much in the Non Wrestling Sections... so maybe that's what they could be talking about. But I'm not really sure.
 
What I think they mean, and I could be wrong so don't ask for a ton of details because this is all I'v egot, is that you won't get into full on Sly mode about anything but a handful of topics.

I post quite a bit there, in relation to how much everyone else posts.
 
cuz you dont. its down to basically schooling people on what real wrestling is, and poking fun at indy wrestlers and smarks. you very rarely discuss anything currently going on, IE angles, champions, PPVs (you know like I PMed you about)
 
Yes, but you don't rip apart their posts much in the NWS.

I think what Jake was getting at is quite simple really...look at your posts on being a basketball coach and on what to look for in a computer (for example). These posts are didactic (not that there's anything wrong with that).

I guess. The only reason I don't do that is..well, come on. How boring is that. "Hey, Jericho vs. HBK for the 6th time. Isn't that great?" I mean, how much can you really say about PPV matches. I talk about champions, only in other threads, so I disagree with you there. As far as angles go, meh. I guess. Again though, how many different ways can you dissect an angle. At the end of the day, an angle is little more than a scene in some great movie. Personally, I feel people put FAR too much emphasis into individual angles, in trying to predict impact on wrestling.

But, I guess I see where you're coming from.
 
Yea, but how many opinions are worth a shit. your is sly, and I, along with many others would like to see what you think of whats coming up. My veiws on things tend to bring up things that no one has thought of. so its not impossible. also, I dont mean it as in insult, becuase you rock at what you do. but it is down to about 6 to 8 subjects, and not a lot of things that are current

It keeps discussion going, so why not type posts about any new topic? Most younger people join the forum because they want to talk about the current state of wrestling.

I guess I just never get into that. Personally, I'd prefer to be surprised.

Well, I was talking about as a whole, but you're referring mostly to Wrestling.

What would you consider those 6 to 8 subjects to be?

If we're including Bar Room, I would think that Sports would be up there as well. And, any tech questions (not relating to specific games), I'm usually all over.

I don't post much in TNA anymore, because since basketball started, I really hadn't the opportunity to watch it much. I should be able to see more now.

I think you also forgot ratings/buyrates/business. And Batista.

Back when Chit Chat was more popular you did well there.

Thinking back my fandom probably started there instead of wrestling because we shared similar opinions. You would argue with HBK-aholic, she would ignore my response, and I would argue with NYSandman.

I'm not saying I agree with them, because I haven't searched and looked for most of your posts, but it seems this is why they'd say those things...
