Skip Sheffield's Return - Booking Idea

TheInfamousOne

The One And Only
As I was sitting here in my office, slightly bored a random thought crossed my mind. What if, instead of having Skip Sheffield re-debut, why not just have him for about a month or so pop in during mid-card matches, destroy both wrestlers and have "security" come out and try to subdue him. Have him "fight a few of them off "before they get some sense of control and get him out of the arena. Have Lawler and Cole put over how huge and unpredictable he is and how now everyone has to be on watch for him. Do this 3 or 4 times. Then finally, have him attack "wrestler x" (whomever you want him to feud with). Have this face talk offense to his repeated attacks on other wrestlers and challenge him to do it in the ring for real. Have Skip squash the hell out of him the first time, then progressively make it more even. I know this was kinda done with Lesner. I just think it will get the point across with out ever having to put him on the mic. Sorry for the rambling..obviously I am more bored than I thought. So thoughts, comments?

Personally, I would like for him to come back in a tag team. Partner? How about Zeke? Make them like demolition or the road warriors, but updated for today. They could even do a "top this" angle, where they are always trying to do more damage than the other. Just a thought.

I agree with JP Wrinkle I think he should come back to shake up the tag team division to give an honorable opponent for Air Boom instead of one month in mid carders AKA Epico and Primo.

I think his partner should be Christian when he comes back because Christian has always naturally been a Tag Team oriented guy... And he needs 1 more title run before he retires and they would make a good pair.

JUST PLEASE DON'T HAVE HIM BE THE 1/2/12 It Begins person
But I think he will be a good addition to the roster and he can really shakeup things in the business!!!

First thing they need to do is change his name. I just cant imagine a champion being named "skip".

Although wrestlers could make fun of him and call him skippy or little skipper...

I like the idea of him in a tag team, only not with someone like Big Zeke. There are two guys that I can think of that I wouldn't mind seeing him team with. One is Jon Bolen, his old tag partner from OVW where they were High Dosage. That was a good team, two bigger guys that worked together.

The other partner I can think of for him is Conor O'Brien down in FCW. Again, both guys have good size, and I think that they could work together.

Either way, get rid of the Cornfed Meat Head gimmick that he had on NXT and Raw when he was a part of the Nexus.

To be honest, this is one wrestler I don't really have much of an opinion on. I say let him wait in line up for his chance, don't push him on us.

Well most of the reports I've seen about Skip since his debut has mostly been that he has impressed the higher ups and they want to push him. Going from that I'd say he's likely to have an impact on the mid to higher mid card straight away. He's got the build that the WWE likes so I'm expecting him to destroy random guys while gunning for Zack Ryder or someone of similar standing.

In all honesty I actually have faith in skip and I was thinking mabye he could be in like a new dominant stable mabye Skip Big Zeke Mason Ryan and Brodus clay heel stable of course but just a thought.

I disagree with this idea. It sounds too much like how they already push bigger guys. We need something different. It is so boring to see the same old push each time. Rumors have been floating around of Skip returning as Ryback, a character who is (kayfabe) from the future. He could still destroy people like he did in Nexus but would need to get on the mic in order to help his character get over. As long as his cowboy antics from NXT do not return then he should do fine on the mic. His promos during Nexus were ok and he can only improve. Even if he does not return as Ryback then he should still do promos because the idea of another "monster" push without promos just adds to my fast forward button's usefulness.

I like the idea of having security force him out of the building, it leaves it open to him becoming a menace to society type character.

I want them to hire Trevor Murdoch again and do a rehash of Cade & Murdoch with Murdoch & Sheffield. I don't know for sure why I miss that tag team so much...

The OP's idea would certainly make for entertaining television, and I agree with the others who are suggesting he form a tag team with Ezekiel Jackson. However, I personally want to see him return as Ryback, the character that comes from the future. I would love to see such an outlandish gimmick in today's WWE.
