Should the CFL stay Canadian?

Mr. TM

Throwing a tantrum
Nope, not going back to putting teams back in America, like the dark days of the CFL, I am talking about a whole new issue.

O Canada.
Our Football players are yank
True CFL, does it need Johnny?

And so forth.

In the CFL, there is a regulation on teams that each team must have 7 Canadian born players. But there is talks that the limit should be moved to 4. Essentially, only 4 of the 24 players would have to be Canadian.

As a strong Canadian patriot, I of course take the position that... the rule should happen. It would be step one in making it so there are no rules of the sort. You want the best football? Then don't regulate it. There will still be Canadian players making the team, as the CFL recruits strongly from the CIS. But if an American is the better player, than they should make the team.

Um yeah, didn't a team from Baltimore win this thing at one point? Essentially, it's a stupid rule. It's affirmative action to allow Canadians to play, when I'm not even sure where Football ranks on the Canadian sports scale. The CFL should just use the best available players, regardless of whomever they are.

That's just silly, you don't see any of the major sports leagues doing that. The MLB doesn't regulate how many Americans need to be on a team, if someone from Japan or South American are better, than they deserve to make the team.

As long as the CFL is in Canada, it will be considered Canadian, regardless of how many dirty foreigners are on the team.
