Shark Week

I made a thread about Shark Week last year, it was decent.

It officially kicks off at 8:00 AM CST tomorrow morning, reruns and all that good stuff. New episodes start tomorrow night. Who else enjoys Shark Week?

That's what everyone always says. Never really any logic. Life/Planet Earth (forgot which) has some awesome shark footage, among other animals.

Perhaps because Discovery spending a week each year for the past 23 years is meant to help us understand sharks, and not just think of them as mindless man-eaters?

Agreed. Not to mention the specials they put together are top notch. The one from tonight that showed the slow motion tapes and the pictures of Great Whites flying out of the water was just amazing to see. Then again sharks have terrified me from going in the water and are probably my favorite animal so Shark week is just a win/win.

Love that documented shot of Great Whites eating a whale carcass, and the dude gets the balls to actually go on the carcass and get those shots. Had it close to the end of that episode right before Ultimate Air Jaws. Excellent stuff. Before I die I want to cage dive with Great Whites.
