Shaq in WWE?

A lot of people forget that Shaq is a big fan of the WWE and also a father of children who like John Cena... he's very close to a lot of WWE stars, and there's a lot more positions in the WWE than just wrestling. Who knows, maybe Shaq can be signed to WWE as their first big time movie star and make Kazaam 2.

Who knows maybe signing him to a WWE "Personnel" contract as I'll call it can also give WWE the chance to put the legendary Shaq Fu into WWE 12 as DLC. Shaq in the WWE, whether as as writer or someone on screen, can benefit WWE in a lot of ways.

Good post man.

Shaq Fu!? Did you ever play that game? Man it was horrible

James Rolfe's got some interesting things to say about it here...

2:20 onwards....

Seriously I think the addition of Shaq Fu as DLC would be a reason to not buy the new WWE game.

I wouldn't mind seeing Shaq in the WWE if he's prepared to put the training time in and learn how to put on a bearable match. Hell, I have less of a hard time buying Shaq as a champion than I do Khali.

It'd be great to see Shaq do a few more appearances for the WWE! I loved his stint as guest host, and his facing down Big Show was exciting and entertaining. I was really hoping they'd put them both in a Mania match, but oh well. Maybe now we'll finally get our match. ;)

He'd be terrible as a full time wrestler, though. I don't see him getting down the particulars well enough while the iron of his fame is still hot, so his matches would no doubt be bad, bad, bad. But as a one off special attraction and a few more speaking appearances? I'd love it.

I wouldn't be surprised if Shaq was our yearly Wrestlemania celebrity next year. Honestly I know nothing about the guy not being American but I'd have no problem with it. At least the guys an actual athlete who likes the buisness. I wouldn't want him going one on one with Big Show though. Shove them in a tag team match with a couple of smaller faster guys though and you could have something. A match between the two of them would just be a bit slow and dull in my opinion.

He did a good job as a guest host, and the difference between someone like him in the ring, then say Snooki, is that Snooki is a fat slob while Shaq is an actual athlete. It surely wouldn't be too hard for him to adapt to do a wrestling match. He has size, strength and when he hosted he showed a personality.

Someone compared him to The Great Khali. Didn't know that Shaquile O'Neill was a useless Indian sideshow, thanks for helping me notice that. In all seriousness, he's nothing like Khali. Khali is literally... Useless. Shaq, once again, is an actual athlete.

Gabe Sapolsky said it best...

"WWE gained a great boost recently with the return of Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson. Now they need that one hook for the mainstream public like Mike Tyson was in 1996. 'The Answer' just quit his job and became a free agent. His name is Shaquille O'Neal. Shaq is on the market. It's well documented he loves wrestling. He understands how to entertain and perform. He has size and athletic ability. The best part is he could now make a long term commitment and he's looking for something new to do."

Gabe books for Dragon Gate, if he says someone has what it takes to wrestle, then you better fucking believe, given the right time and training that person can fucking wrestle.

Why not?
He's still feeling the effects from his injuries, but when he recovers. why not?
Maybe they could even bring him in as the newly un-anonymous Raw General Manager.
Personally I enjoyed Shaq as the guest host, and Shaq is truly an entertainer.

Absolutely not full time, but Shaq Vs Big Show, or him being involved in some kind of huge exhibition tag match would be fucking enormous, a very high profile draw for WWE at Wrestlemania. I feel like it could quite likely happen, to be honest.

I must admit, signing Shaq would draw in huge ratings and buys. Plus a Shaquille O Neil vs Big Show match at Wrestlemania would compliment Rock/Cena very nicely.

If WWE decides to sign Shaq it probably would be for the Shaq vs Big Show match. Shaq has a lot of star power & would bring in more viewers. It probably would be a one year deal in order to build up the feud between him & big show @ WM 28. I wouldn't mind seeing the match take place @ this years summerslam. Its still some time left to set up the match. Shaq come in & squash a few wrestlers like tyson kidd, rhodes, or dibiase. Then have him say he ready to take on somebody his size & then have big show come out & ask am I big enough for you. Have them try one up each other in strength up until summerslam & then have them battle it out. Maybe show promos of Shaq training & getting prepared for the bout. (Please don't go to hard on me bout how to set up the match just giving a general idea) Either way I don't see Shaq having a long term deal because we've seen it numerous of times in sports where athletes say they retiring & then go back on their word. It would be bad to sign him for a long deal & halfway through he decides he wants to go back to basketball.
