I just went to Weather.com to look at what exactly is going on.

Once I looked up Winfield (by our zipcode) on the right side of the page is has something called; Comfort Index.

Our "Comfort Index" is currently "Uncomfortable".

We had a severe thunderstorm here as well. It was one of the crazier ones I remember. Needless to say, our power went out, but the sheer consistency of the thunder was amazing.

Tuesday night, coming home from work this past week.. amazing storm.

Maybe above average rain. Nothing too severe at all. But the Lightning was horrible. Every other second, another bolt would streak/flash across the sky. Some were even hitting around things on the ground next to the road I was driving on.

At one point, right when I got off work and called Erin to say I was on my way home.. lightning more or less danced across the front of the car. Needless to say, I ended the call.

Beyond that, thunder wasn't bad. The radio interrupted to announce storms in Illinois. (it was an Iowa station, incase anyone wondered) And about 5 mile outside of town - hail was littered all over the ground, with downed tree limbs on the strip inside of town.

Crazy night.
