Schumacher back in F1

After Massa's near death experience, Schumi is coming back to drive for Ferrari for the rest of the season. What do you think this means for Formula One? Will he still have "it" or will he be a big let down.

For me, the Ferrari car has just gotten competetive and there is 7 races left, so I think that there is a genuine possibility that he may win a couple. If he does, I wouldn't be suprised to see him back in F1 next year, either in the same Ferrari seat if Massa is finished, or back at Brawn. What do you reckon?

I actually nearly came with excitement when I heard this! Just so you know I am an absolutely insanely big Schumacher fan, the bloke is my idol. So to hear that he'll be racing again in Formula 1 has absolutely made my day!

The F60 has suddenly become quite a competitive car and in the right hands, could win one of two races. However I do honestly think he'll only return for the rest of this season and then step down. He's only acting as Felipe's replacement and I reckon Felipe will be back in time for the 2010 season. I honestly didn't think this was gunna happen, I actually had a feeling that Fernando would simply leave Renault (since it's kind of obivous that he's joining Ferrari next season anyway) and replace Felipe for the rest of 2009.

I so want to get tickets for Monza now, the atmosphere would be out of this world!!!

Well when he raced, I was one of those people who disliked him due to his actions against Damon Hill and Jacques Villeneuve. However, as I've gotten older and witnessed him race in the flesh he has grown on me immensely. There is no doubting he is the greatest racing driver of his era, possibly of all time. It is a great thing for F1 to have him back in the sport. Interest in Valencia will be massive, even though the track is the shittest, most boring one in the whole calendar.

I hope the Red Bulls and Brawn have a terrible weekend. I want to see Schumacher and Hamilton at the front of the track and racing together. McLaren vs Ferrari. The guy labelled Schumacher's replacement in the sport as the best driver actually getting to go up against the great man himself. Schumacher is removed from his prime so if he wins it shows just how good he actually is.
