Dark Match Jobber
TNAwrestling.com has learned that at the end of this month, Kaz will leave Total Nonstop Action Wrestling. Kaz requested his release on Monday morning.

Before departing TNA, Kaz has agreed to fulfill his obligations of competing at this weekend's live events in North and South Carolina.

Kaz will appear on the premiere episode of the new "Karen's Angle" interview segment this Thursday night on "iMPACT!" to comment on his departure and his reasons for doing so.

TNA Wrestling wishes Kaz all the best in his future endeavors.

Real Or Kayfabe? TNA finally crossing the line between Reality and Kayfabe to make us watch their show? had our opinions in TNA looking like Larry Sanders's Thread inspirated TNA Writers?

Its a complete work it started after he loss in the X Cup match. TNA is planning also to let him rest that badly damaged hip. He is having alot problems with that hip after the ppv. Kaz is using the same storyline Jeff Jarrett used after losing to Sting at BFG. He will return after his hip is better he has been sore since the match.

I think it is a work. This could be a pretty good move by TNA, it could get some more viewers, I know that I am semi interested. So we'll have to wait and see.

Yeah Kaz is in bad shape he damn near blew both knees out on Sunday. This is way for TNA to remove but keep interest going at the same time.

it is a work kaz is hurt his kneew/hip are bad and he needs time off im almost positive its a work cause why in their right mind give away kaz he has everything and i think he will be a main event star one day if this is real its a awful move by tna if it is a work i give tna props thts a great strategy

Has to be a work. If it was real there is no way that they would let Kaz show up again for Karen's interview segment. If he was released, they wouldn't mention him and pretend he never existed.

I really hope this is not a work. Kaz is horrible. Maybe TNA finally woke up and realized he is not worth the hype they have been giving him. With that being said and as much as I hate to say it. It won't end up being a work. Kaz for some reason or another is one o TNA's bigger stars. So while he should be released just because he is an absolute embarassment to the wrestling industry, it will end up being a work. Because whether I like it or not he is one of TNA's biggest stars....for whatever reason.

People backstage said Kaz had trouble even getting dressed after Victory Road. I was in Atlanta when did the Ultimate X with LAX and XXX that platform is huge. I know it has to be as least 15 feet above the ring. Then add the extra 7-8 feet when a wrestler jumps off it for a bump. When Kaz landed he had no way of protecting himself when he hit. Kaz had to fully extend his legs just to reach Daivari for that huge high spot. No way he would put his life on the line for TNA then quit of the blue like that.

Well the title on Wrestlezone made me giggle like a little girl. Main eventer, oh how I laughed. Not this month he isn't. Real or fake I think this is awesome. From my perspective I'm posting like it's real.

It doesn't make the slighted bit of difference if Kaz leaves TNA. For one his push came from absolutely nowhere. One minute the guy is looking less stupid than Matt Bentley & Johnny Devine. The next Christina Cage is giving a Herculean performance and is making Kaz look like a star. Next TNA do nothing with him. Until Kurt Angle can't wrestle a PPV. Instead of adding Sting to the match they add Kaz. The same Kaz who TNA have done nothing with since Cage made him look like a million dollars. After that it's back to the X-Divions where he was back in his rightful spot, but with Tenay & West talking like he was Hulk Hogan.

I hope and I pray that Kaz is released because he's decided to give WWE another shot. Perhaps he decided that he's just too big for TNA right now. What's sad is that it's probably true.

I think this a definite work. Recently other performers were released from their TNA contracts without any mention. Rellik, Mesias and James Mitchell just disappeared into thin air **poof ** they were gone! This Kaz storyline has been set up with Kaz's comments about letting Team TNA down, followed up with a loss to Petey Williams. If this was not a work, Kaz would very quietly just disappear off the roster without any fanfare. I doubt TNA would want to draw attention to Kaz's departure. I don't see why TNA would not just announce that Kaz needs to take time off to heal up his aches, pains, injuries, take care of personal matters, etc. TNA is great for insulting their fans' intelligence with stupid storylines like this. Kaz has some skills in the ring and takes risks to put himself over with the fans however, most fans in the Impact Zone are not buying him. He gets alot of heat from the fans regardless of what he does in the ring. He just is not over at all. He has potential to be over with a better gimmick, better storylines and some improvement with his acting and mic skills - ok, alot of work on his mic skills. I think removing him from the television and shows to recover will give him a chance to make a comeback with the hopes of selling him to the fans. Hopefully, they will do a better job with Kaz's comeback than TNA did with Abyss's comeback. Pathetic. I just hope for Kaz that he is not going to get thrown into a mask and re-packaged as Paprika Man from Hungary....Curry Man's long lost half brother who is the bastard son of Don West.

it's a total work. like previous posters said, he needs time off to rest his injury from Victory Road when he delivered that amazing legdrop off the scaffold in Ult. X. Plus, it's not even posted on TNA's website.

Whenever TNA releases somebody for real they don't mention anything on their website whereas this time they actually do mention it.

Also look at the wording of the statement and you can figure out it was a work.."He requested his release Monday Morning" meaning this Morning. If it was last week then TNA would have mentioned last week.

With that said, TNA taped Karen's Angle early last week and supposedly Kaz is the guest talking about his release. How is it that Kaz talks about leaving on a segment before TNA announces his leaving?

I think that the question is not whether or not this is real but if anybody would truly care if he was really leaving TNA. Kaz hasn't had a decent push since he returned to the company. He has been a disciple of Raven and then a scruffy loaner. Now he's that guy who just can't get through the glass ceiling. In other words, he has effectively taken over Chris Harris's old spot. Only difference is that Kaz has the charisma to ascend beyond that but just can't due to the demons that haunt the decisions that his own ego forced him to make in the past.

If he is gone, then he will not have a lack of work as I am sure that ROH will snatch him up and push him through the roof. I don't think that WWE would be interested as their is no such thing as a Cruiserweight division there anymore and Kaz lacks enough flare to get past that division in the WWE. But he would be a commodity on the indy circuit and should make some good money after having been featured on tv so much. But all of this would depend on whether ot not this is true.

If the report is not true, then this could be a new direction that TNA is going in where they try to skew the line between kfabe and shoot in order to give TNA a more real look in order to bring in more viewers. If this is the case, then Kaz will get a nice rest and perhaps he will be able to come back as the fierce heel that he naturally is. In the meantime another face can take his place and get some exposure for the future. So it's a win win situation either way.

Laughed my ass off. Seriously, it has to be a work. They just cut and paste future endeavors wrom the E's website. It's like Jim Ross wrote that piece. I think they are giving him time away so that he isn't fresh from an X division run when they push him top card. I don't think he'll be in a World Title feud right out of the blocks, but maybe he'll feud with Tomko and it will lead to top card and title matches.

I like Kaz, and while I don't think he's all that TNA makes him out to be, I think he's athletic enough to be that guy.

This definitely has to be a work. They wouldn't focus so much on a guy legitimately leaving the company, by putting him on a new interview segment and such this week. It's possible a character transformation or heel change is in the work. Sort of like when they did this with Christopher Daniels who is supposedly Curry Man now heh. I think he needs time off or a change too, they built him up quite good to make him look better than he might be, but then they keep jobbing him..

are they working to blur the line between kayfabe and reality ,and make a product look like Larry Sanders show(Glenn Gilberti said that TNA should be like Larry Sanders)? Here in forum have a thread talking about this ,search there, cause there have many ideas of mix Kayfabe with reality and TNA is doing this.So is Gilberti copying Wrestlezone Forums LOL?

If its a work then it is a stupid work. Who cares that a wrestling promotion releases a wrestler only for it not to be true. I don't really watch tna, if I happen to have nothing else to do and nothing is on tv, I will switch to impact, but thats it. This supposed work of Kaz being released is not going to make me tune in. It won't make the casual fan or the current non-existent fan tune in. Why would I want to watch a show more now that there is one less talent. And if he happens to not be released, I never cared to watch the show in the first place with him on it, how does that make a difference anyway. I dunno maybe with all his injuries tna figured he was a liability and released it. Or maybe he got to big for tna and wanted to go to the wwe. Or its a work. Either way I don't care.

If this is true, then all I have to say is FUCK YES!!! Seriously, I think this is great news. I hate Kaz, everything about the guy, I just can't stand. He is supposed to be a babyface right, so how come everytime he does that stupid pose for the crowd, he looks like he think's hes top shit which is exactly how a heel should pose. I might be the only one that thinks this though.

I still can't get over the fact that TNA chose this guy, to replace Kurt fricken Angle in the triple threat main event for the TNA World Heavyweight title a few ppvs back. But for some reason, I think he is not actually leaving TNA for good, as I think TNA just want more viewers to tune into iMPACT this week. I quite frankly wouldn't be surprised if this was a work.

Compared to the other X-Division wrestlers, Kaz sucks. He sucked in the World X Cup a few weeks back. The headline Wrestlezone released was hilarious: "TNA Main Eventer Quitting". The guy is nowhere near TNA status. He shouldn't rise above the mid card area, it's as simple as that. If he is indeed released, I can't see what else the guy can possibly do. WWE won't want him. ROH might be the only option for the guy and if that is the case, why the hell would he want to leave TNA for ROH??

I've got to say this is obviously a work. As obvious as Curry Man is Christopher Daniels. That said, there's no reason that mankind shouldn't rejoice at this news. Time away from Kaz is half as good as time away from Nash; that's incredibly good. The bad news is, he'll be missed by some people who just love cookie cutter cruiserweights - most TNA fans. This means that when he comes back, he'll be fairly hot. This likely means another dozen failed title attempts that come out of nowhere.

The moral here is: enjoy it while it lasts.

Meh, Kaz as a main eventer is a bit of a stretch by the writing standards. He has been in a main event, but so has Cody Rhodes. If he's out to take a break and rest up, that's fine, an injury would have worked.

Kaz in TNA is reasonably solid. Plenty of flashy moves, but no real charisma out of the ring to speak of. The main event scene will survive without him and Steiner for a while. Who knows, they might have some face-painted veteran in the back somewhere who may be good enough to fill his shoes.

I think I'll cope without him on TNA for a while, and it'll give him a chance to make some real films instead of being in Shrek. Just don't bring him back as a different person as has failed so spectacularly in recent days (T-shirt and kid friendly ratings aside)

If you believe that Kaz is really being released from TNA you can just ignore this thread and move on to topics that are more interesting to you.

But if you're like me and believe that instead of releasing him TNA is working on giving him a face lift/new gimmick then this thread is where you wanna be.

Still here?

Ok, lets play the what kind of gimmick do you think Kaz will have and/or what kind of new gimmick would you give him to put him all the way over the top.

I'll start things off:

For a while now I have been thinking about how good of an in ring competitor Kaz is and how there is just something missing there. That something that's missing is a recognizable gimmick/angle that makes fans remember his name and care about him.

I think that the gimmick that would work for him would have to be an extreme one. Something that goes way beyond his Serotonin role but in that direction. An extreme make over that completely erases the man that we know as Kaz.

A face wrestler becomes a heel out of frustration. Tired of trying to be the good guy that always finishes last. He looks to the "Future" for a better way which leads him to the darkside as vicious heel.

Be it a mask like Michael Myers in Halloween with long hair, a mask like WCW's Mortis (Kanyon), or face paint like Brandon Lee in The Crow.(darker than Sting) This new look will be.. has to be extreme and dark.

Well, thats my take.

What's yours?

Curry Man is WAY over right now (with actual fans, if not with the smarks). How about Curry Man's cousin, Chutney Boy. They already did it once with Daniels, and I have never been impressed with TNA's ability to come up with fresh new ideas. He would obviously wear a mask, he could hide his hair under it (kind of opposite of Daniels' wig under the Curry Man mask), he could do a little dance to accompany Curry Man's. And people STILL won't give a damn about him. It is a shame, but I don't know what gimmick change could start getting Kaz over. At the VERY least, he should stop wearing that dumb ass jacket with the big 'Z', or whatever the hell it is, to the ring.

How about a lonely Mariachi who sets out to avenge the death of his brother by killing his other brother, along the way he meets a beutiful mexican bartender and they fall in love only for her to be killed by a ruthless general and for him to join forces with a corrupt CIA agent and Enrique Inglasias in order to get revenge.

Or in seriousness Kaz is a tough one, what gimmick could he actually work with, I wont lie I dont like the guys current gimmick but the whole turning heel frustration thing could work.
Think about it, he's doing really well for himself, he's the ultimate goodguy but he's still got nothing to show for it, then suddenly he's released from the company, thats enough to piss anyone off.
He gets rehired with a bad attitude, simple as that, decides he doesnt care what people think anymore and just becomes a ruthless nasty bastard.

Unless kaz picks up some better mike skills and gains a little charisma during his release, it won't matter what gimmick they game him.

I say just make him Kaz the stoner. He get a new fanbase and he will have an excuse for sucking on the mic. Then he could pick up a superhero-pop eye gimmick and join up with curry man, shark boy, and super eric.

When I see Kaz I see one thing; asshole. Sorry to say it, but that's just the type of personality he exudes. I don't see him as a face and a stand up guy. I see him as a lying, cheating, win anyway I can jerk. Kind of like a Randy Orton. I think that should be used in his gimmick. I think he should be a suit wearing playboy jerk. He can always tries to get out of matches with the "I'm not even in my wrestling gear" gimmick. I think that is the type of gimmick that will fit him the best. I think they also need to drop "Kaz" and "Frankie" as names. Even using Kazarian as one name wouldn't work. A serious heel "I'm better than you" Frank Kazarian would be the best name. Still don't think it's great, but I'm not a fan of name changes.

The only problem with this is that I don't see him truly getting over unless he has a mentor, like Orton with Evolution. And to validate him it'd have to be a veteran, so it'd have to be a former WWE guy. I don't think Christian, Booker or Nash would work (or Sting even) in that role. Team 3D would be boring. Angle could work, but I don't think they should go there. I think that a returning heel Jarrett may work, though I guess that may knock out the "well dressed" suit type Kaz gimmick. He also needs to be paired with someone that could work the mic for him.
