Sami Zayn injured at last night's RAW.

The main page, and all the other dirt sheets are reporting that Sami Zayn suffered a shoulder injury in the US Open Challenge match with John Cena last night.

Some are saying the injury happened early in the match, during the landing of a belly to back suplex from Cena to Zayn. And others are saying he dislocated his shoulder before he entered the ring. So it's unclear as to when it actually happened.

Despite all this, he continued on eventually losing to Cena. It was an awesome match, and it's a shame if he in legitimately injured. He will be undergoing an MRI tomorrow to find out the extend of the damage.

If he is in fact injured, then this might take him out of the match at the upcoming Takeover event in two weeks time against Owens. Another blow, as Owens was getting involved last night too on Twitter cheering on Cena.

Yes that's what I thought about too. His match against Kevin Owens at Takeover. With Alex Riley getting a surgery, there are no potential threats for Kevin Owens heading into the Takeover if Sami is injured legitimately. NXT haven't build up any feuds for Kevin Owens apart from Sami and Alex from the day he defended his title against Finn.

On the other hand I really was amazed by the way Sami fight even with that injury. The way he executed the Tornado DDT through the ropes and the Blue Thunder bomb with that injured shoulder it's pretty amazing! It makes me love that guy much more than before!

If he is indeed legitimately injured, then this is a damn shame for Sami. It's great exposure for him facing Cena on Raw, and a great way to introduce him to the wider audience who don't watch NXT and aren't familiar with his work. He definitely gave a great showing, even more so if he was already injured from a move early in the match.

It's also bad news of the upcoming NXT Takeover show, as a replacement will need to be found to face Kevin Owens for the NXT Title, but sometimes these injuries happen and it gives someone else the opportunity to step up and make a name for themselves against Owens. Hopefully Sami isn't too badly injured, fingers crossed.

I hope he doesn't automatically get the Dolph Ziggler treatment. Only get pushed too far because they fear he is too injury prone to carry the torch.
