Unfortunately for Rob Van Dam, Ohio state trooper J.N. Baker is not a wrestling fan.

Trooper Baker pulled over the WWE star on July 2 for going 72 in a 55-mile-per-hour zone. Unfortunately for Van Dam -- whose real name is Robert Alex Szatowski -- Baker and his partner also smelled pot in the car, and slapped the wrestler with a misdemeanor citation for possessing marijuana and vicodin. Terry Michael Brunk, who goes by the wrestling name Sabu, was in the passenger seat of the car and also was cited. Brunk, who was wearing a cap picturing a marijuana leaf, admitted on the police tape that he had smoked dope before getting into the car.

When Van Dam tried to explain to the officer that he was on his way to a gig, the officer admitted "I don't follow wrestling." Later, Baker looked inside the driver's window and asked, "You always drive with your shirt off?"

There ya go. Hillarious vid.

You know I just thought about it. WWE stresses over the stupidest shit. You mean to tell me that Rob & Sabu just got tickets & didn't even go to jail? And they got in trouble w/ Vince for it? Man, big deal. I mean, their lucky they didn't go to jail. About a month ago, I spent 3 days in jail just for paraphenalia. They get citations for weed & codine. Oh well, maybe Vince had to set an example, but still....

I mean seriously. If it was me I would've been locked up for a good minute, and they're lucky as hell. Driving under the influence, speeding, possession of marijuana, possession of vicodin, that's a good two weeks or more in jail.

everything they got charged with are only a ticketable offenses except the vicodin....I think that would be the only thing they could be booked in jail for, but it varies on how much they had...probly minimal...they were ticketed and released on their own recognizance. Pretty standard stuff. Nobody "paid off the cops" to keep them out of jail.

Well I don't know about where you live, but down here in Dallas if you even have let's say a joint or something you go straight to jail. Unless you come across a cop who's not an asshole, which is very rare.

In New York anything under 1 0z. of "personal use" marijuana is a citation only. Ticket...released on your own recognizance...
