Sabian... independent underdog?

Believes in The Shield!
It's no secret that I'm one of the most anti-Hardcore wrestling fans around the forums. Or at least, it shouldn't be... which would make this seem like me going against my words. But over the past few months I've been watching a lot of recent CZW shows at the suggestion of a friend who said things were different from the old Ultra Violent styles. And I have to say that the quality of the events are a lot better than before, and I really dig the new CZW. With that said, there's one guy who has never been a blimp to me.

For years now, I would catch off and on matches of Sabian on youtube, and consistently he's been one of the guys I was wanting to score a TNA or WWE contract. Currently, I do believe he has an Open Contract with TNA, but that's not too confirmed so I will assume he just had that one and done appearance at the Destination X from two years ago... or was it last year? All I know is that he was there as Rashad Cameron.

Anyway, this guy has what it takes, in my opinion, to be a big time player in TNA or WWE. For WWE, I could see him playing the perfect heel to either R-Truth or Kofi Kingston. Or if WWE's going to surprise everyone and keep JTG around, maybe a new Crime Time could be in stores. And no, that's not a knock at him because Sabian is black. Sabian's current gimmick is a gangster anyways, so why not put him with JTG? Sadly, in WWE, I wouldn't see him getting too far into the Main Event if at all. Sure, he could probably put on some good matches but that's about it.

In TNA, however, I think the guy could be a great addition to the X-Division as a face. His style matches that of Homicide, who was very over with TNA crowd as well. He could wrestle in a mix of matches from High Flying to simply a technical ground based match. Point being, he could go pretty far.

My question is, to anybody who's seen him in action, do you think Sabian would be a nice addition to TNA or WWE? What is your impression on him thus far in his indy career?

You mean the former Sabian, it's BLK Jeez now.

I don't know much of his Combat work as the only times I watch CZW is when someone recommends a match to me, very rarely an event because the hardcore CZW fans feel a good event is when everyone starts cutting the shit out of one another, but that's another diatribe for another day. As it pertains to Jeez, I saw his work on a recent ROH show where he competed with Ruckus in a tag team tournament and he seems pretty good. Hes also been okay on TNA as Rashad, wouldn't say he's anything special though.

I don't think he'd be suitable for WWE, and I imagine they'd agree as he attended their recent tryout camp, same one Mason Andrews/Scorpio Sky attended and if he hasn't been signed, or isn't going to be signed in the coming months or two then chances are he didn't impress. He'd be an okay addition to the X-Division and I believe he's listed to appear on the One Night Only X-travaganza, so we'll see how he does then.

I think BLK Jeez would do just fine in TNA, as he is a fantastic wrestler with a great presence and wonderful talking skills. He could be a standout in any promotion, but TNA is probably the company that could take him the farthest as they would give him chance to be himself, combined with a solid amount of national exposure. I hope BLK Jeez is given the chance to work in TNA full-time before it's too late.

TNA must see something in the guy.

Last year during the Dest-X tourney they had him go over Scorpio Sky on Impact, which may not be that impressive in a vacuum but when you consider that they then had Sky look so strong at the PPV beating three other men and then immediately facing a fresh Kid Kash beating him too, that clean win on Impact does indeed look quite impressive.

He also was put over pretty strongly by the commentators, and cut a post match promo that also got positive recognition. He may have lost at Dest-X, but he lost to Sonjay, a guy with a strong history in the company who they wanted to bring back in and who probably would've gotten a strong push in the division if not for re-injuring his shoulder. Jeez did look solid in that loss as well.

And, as Dragon Saga pointed out, they did just bring him in to compete on the One Night Only: X-travaganza PPV special. So he is definitely still on TNA's radar and if creative decides that they have room to bring in an outside guy to bolster the X-division he will likely be high on their list(especially considering that guys like Jigsaw for example are unlikely to eschew their independent careers for a chance to be misused by TNA).

As for the WWE... he was one of a two man "enhancement talent" team that did a Smackdown job to Ryback in about ninety seconds while getting zero offense. So I think it is clear just how WWE view BLK Jeez.
