Life's A Bitch, And Then You Mosh
I couldn't think of a catchy title...The band name really should be enough to get everyone to read this thread, but sadly, probably won't happen.

Rush is a great Canadian trio, and for whatever reason, is not in the Rock N Roll Hall Of Fame. I honestly can't find a bad song from them. They've stood the test of time, getting good radio airtime even today, and they have fans as young as 9/10 years old...They also still put out great music, and fantastic stage shows.

This thread is "sponsored" by Dreamline, just another classic Rush song...

Rush is awesome, I love the album Moving pictures. But the reason that they are not in the rock and roll hall of Fame is because the people involved in determining who goes in view prog as dirty and something to be shameful of. Because other than Pink Floyd there is no other that you can say were Prog Rock. Its worse Elitism than Prog Fans have in general.

I'm a fan of Rush. I wouldn't necessarily say a huge fan, but I'm a fan to say the least. My favorite tunes are Tom Sawyer, Closer To the Heart, and Spirit of The Radio. I originally discovered this band by watching the television show The Trailer Park Boys, which featured a whole episode around the band, as one of the main characters---Bubbles, is in love with the band. The episode even has Alex Lifeson in it. I have a few buddies that got to see Rush live in Montreal a few years back and I have been jealous of them ever since.

Rush definitely has a wide fanbase that spans all ages. I believe they deserve a spot in the Hall of Fame, as they are one of the few bands that are recognizable progressive rock bands, at least to my knowledge anyway.

P.S. Don't hate on me, as I don't have a vast knowledge of music, just enough to get me by and have decent conversations.

A huge part of the Canadian music seen is that of Rush. They have been going for 40 years now, and as a Canadian, I have to love them. But really, I think Tom Sawyer, which is their most commercial single is their best.

One of the best albums the band ever put out is their semi-concept album entitled 2112. The song 2112 is made up of a collection of parts which forms a 21 minute masterpiece. You can see other bands try and emulate it, such as Coheed and Cambria (2113) and Incubus in the Halo 2 soundtrack.
