As we get started here let look at some of the things that make up a great tag team.
Tag Team Experience-Chemistry
Unlike the Rock N Sock Connection, Tenzan and Chono have both spent alot of their careers as Tag Team Wrestlers. The Rock N Sock Connection were more or less, two singles stars put together in a tag team match to take the titles of Big Show and Undertaker. Chono and Tenzan were a tag team that practice the art of tag teaming throughout their careers. Chono along with being a 5 time champ with Tenzan was also in a very successful tag team with Keiji Mutoh ,also known as great Muta who were 2 time champions. Tenzan along with being a 5 time champ with Chono is also a 2 time champ with Satoshi Kojima, all of the above mentioned title reigns were with the IWGP Tag Team Title, which are New Japan Pro Wrestlings Tag Titles,New Japan is also the biggest and most successful organization in japan, I guess it could be compared to the WWE in America. On how to work a tag match and come out on top the edge most defintly goes to Chono & Tenzan.
Tenzan has a spent a total time of 1,566 days as a tag team champion, Chono has spent a total of 1,383 days as a tag champion. They were clearly doing somthing right to keep the titles that long.
In ring work
Tenzan and Chono were 10 times more solid and effective with their ring work then Rock N Connection, and the fact that the Rock N Sock Connection champions for a combined total of less then Two Months were as Chono and Tenzan were champions for a total of 1,010 days should really prove it to anybody that is doubting the team of Chono/Tenzan. Bottom Line, the Rock and Sock were two random singles superstars put together to draw high ratings(no doubting that they did ,as I believe they pulled the biggest raw rating ever) where as Chono and Tenzan were hardcore tag team specialist, that knew anything and everything this is to now in the art of tag team wrestling. They had more then enough tag experience, superior ring work, chemistry and intelligence to defeat the Rock n Sock Connection.
Highest ratings ever for Raw. You know that show that has been on the air for 16 years? Yep, that was a segment for The Rock and Mic Foley. The greatest drawing tag team of all time.
I didnt realize that that High Ratings=Tag Team Specialist, just because alot of people seen then on TV and know who they are doesn't mean they should just go over tag teaming gods like Chono/Tenzan
How can you note vote for them? Over some japanese guys you have never seen. What, is that, 9 world title reigns?
Oh, Im sorry, I didn't realize this was a singles tournament or I would of posted that Chono and Tenzan together have 5 combined world title reigns of New Japan. Silly Me. How could I forget something like that.
Anyways please do the right thing and vote a deserving tag team, vote Masahiro Chono and Hiroyoshi Tenzan.
