WrestleMania Main Event
Round 1, TNA:
Spike Dudley/CM Punk
vs.
Extreme Horseman

No spam and no flaming.

TNA rules are identical to WWE rules except:
- The ring has six sides and the ropes are made out of elevator cables for greater tension

I don't know the extreme horseman are after watching their match with team macktion they're good but I think CM Punk and Spike Dudley would get along seeing as Punk has teamed with ECW originals before. And Dudley is a great tag wrestler, and Punk is a good wrestler making a great team. Also Their Stlye would work together well. I think we'd see a Dudley Dog/GTS combination, ending the match. with Punk and Spike as the winner in a great. I hope CM Spike go further in this tournament.

The Extreme Horsemen are pretty much an unsuccessful 4 Horsemen knock off, right? Sure it included Corino, but he was getting up there in years by then. They never did anything major at all really.

CM Punk and Spike are a stranger pairing, but I think they can pull it out. Whenever Spike's in there, he'll likely get destroyed and completely and utterly dominated. However, he'll have enough heart to survive, and once he makes the hot tag to Punk, it's over. Team CM Spunk Dudley is who I'm going with currently, but I'm not sure quite yet.

I think the Extreme Horsemen win here (Yeah, you are probably just saying that it is because he is Canadian (Corino)). Duece's Wild tag teams have a hard time of beating established tag teams, and this is one example here. But with Justin Credible... Hey... doesn't that mean Justin is in two tag teams here? Must have to tag with CW here. Meaning they have a former Heavyweight champiion on the outside. Sure, that is enough for me.

I'll take the Horsemen, but this would be fine going either way to me. Corino vs. Punk sounds like an awesome match to me, and since Spike is perhaps the most annoying wrestler of all time, I'll take anyone over him. CW Anderson is a guy I don't remember much about, but he's against Spike so he's automatically better. I hate to go against Punk, but in this case I think I have to.

CM RUNT FTW! Spike is like the super crazy underdog and somehow gets his ass kicked, yet manages to find a way to stay in it. Punk is at the top of his game right now and is one of the best the E has. Corino is pretty darn good in his own right and I don't know much about CW. So in a pretty good showing from both teams, CM Runt finds a way to get it done and move on to round 2.

I think i'm gonna have to go with the Extreme Horsemen, i mean Punk and Corino pretty much cancel each other out, and they would probably carry each of their team, so it ends up coming down to Spike Dudley and CW Anderson, and the teamwork between them and their respective partners.

I'll be the first to admit i don't know much about either CW or Spike, so between the two of them its just my dislike for the Dudleys that help me decide, and my respect from those that associate with Corino, slowly learning a thing or two about him.

So for me it comes down to teamwork, and we know that the Extreme Horsemen can work together, and that even without that Moniker that Corino and Anderson have tagged together, so there is a connection then, where as Punk has never tagged with Spike, at least to my knowledge.

I think i will go learn a bit more bout CW after this

Kayfabe wise, this is no argument: Extreme Horsemen would have won this without a shadow of a doubt. They're just too smart. They would have utilized Spike, and pick up the win over him. CM Punk would put up a good fight, but let's face it... first of all, he's a protege of Steve Corino, so Corino knows everything about the dude, but also there's CW Anderson, who Punk had trouble with in the past, when Anderson was out of shape I might add.

So, yeah... kayfabe wise, no chance in hell CM Punk and Spike Dudley would ever win this.

Non-kayfabe, the vote still has to go to the Extreme Horsemen. They were a great, creative tag team/faction. Fun to watch, and Corino as the leader and CDub as the Enforcer was just the perfect combination. Spike and Punk are awesome as well, but together? Eh, I just don't see it.

Vote Extreme Horsemen.

As JMT said, Extreme Horsemen are experienced and a dangerous team. Corino and CW Anderson were great wrestlers in their own right and with Anderson's aggressive style and Corino being his old school self, this seems to be an easy win for the two. Punk is a solid tag wrestler, but Spike Dudley gets Spinebuster after Spinebuster and eventually ends up being pinned.

Extreme Horsemen.

Can all of the little punk followers go and look at who is at the advantage here. Corino is a 4 time World heavyweight Champion. This combined with the fact that CW Anderson was well on the way to being ECW champion back just before ECW went under.

CM Punk is good but two world class calibre wrestlers vs. A single world class wrestler is not a fair match, though while Spike is one of those wrestlers that make it tough on giants he is nowhere near good enough to make this any kind of close match.

Like Shadow, I'm a big fan of Corino, especially his time in ECW. To whoever said he was "up there in years" at this point, bite me. He was 25, maybe 26. He's only 36 now. That's roughly 20 years younger than Taker, right?

And, to anyone who hasn't seen it (probably everyone), there's a match on Novemeber Reign where CW pretty much pwns Spike all over the ECW Arena. CW had one of the greatest I Quit matches ECW had ever seen with Dreamer, and it's clear that Dreamer is better than Spike. Basically - CW over Spike.

Basically, if Corino is better than Punk, and CW is better than Spike, who do you think gets my vote? Too bad for Runt Punk. I was hoping they'd get a good draw...

Corino & C.W. Anderson will do very well in eliminating Punk/Dudley from the tourney here. Corino or Anderson against Punk will prove to be interesting where either man will win. Add anything Spike to the list & it goes in favor to Corino/Anderson at all points. It doesn't matter the experience of Punk & Dudley in their TNA endeavours, you cant take away the talents that the Extreme Horsemen offer in the wrestling ring.

I really dig the pairing of Spike and Punk, and being a huge Punk fan I almost voted for them. Unfortunately for them though I'm a big ECW fan, so the Extreme Horsemen get my vote here. As Shadow said, Punk has modeled his career after Corino. There literally isn't a thing he could do that Corino couldn't counter. Add in CW Anderson, and the Extreme Horsemen should take this one rather easily. Punk puts up one hell of a fight, but in the end I see Anderson or Corino taking out Spike for the win here.

Jesus, this tournament has thrown up some strange matches. I have to say, I'm not exactly a fan of the Extreme Horsemen, I don't think they really acheived anything noteworthy anywhere, to be perfectly honest, but Spike Dudley is kayfabe wise one of the weakest people in wrestling history. I think the Extreme Horsemen would be able to neutralise him pretty quickly, and they're good enough to beat Punk down for the win. Can't see them going much further though.

I have to vote for Extreme Horseman here. Even though I've only seen a hand-full of Steve Corinos matches, what I have seen(mostly ECW stuff) has been great. Somebody said that Punk modeled his career from Corino? Thats cool as hell. I didn't know that, but I can definitely see some Steve Corino in him now that I think about it. I really remember CW Anderson from the I quit match with Dreamer, which is a brutally good match and really shows that CW Anderson is no push over and can hang with Tommy Dreamer. Along with Corino, they should win over Spike, and just about anybody that Spikes teaming with. He is the wink link here, and it would be very hard for anyone to argue for Spike anywhere outside the ECW region. I would see this one coming down to isolating Punk, while one or the other picks up a easy pin fall on Spike.

This can go either way, but I just can’t pick a random pairing over an established team. Steve and C. W. have spent too much time together to lose against a team in their first match together. I’m going with the Extreme Horsemen, but I doubt they’ll make it past the first round.
