Rock 'n' Rolla

FromTheSouth

You don't want it with me.
Was a sick movie. Guy Ritchie is a genius, minus that Madonna fling.

I had a little trouble figuring out what they were saying at first, but I settled in. I loved that they never showed the painting.

I think that London Underworld movies may quickly becomming my favorite films. I loved Snatch. Lock, Stock was great. Even the Transporter has that kind of feel to it, and I love those movies.

I am wondering about a couple of plot points for the sequel.

How did Archie get the painting?

What happened to the Russians and the accountant?

What will the junkie rock star do next?

Anyway, I loved the connections in this movie. Guy Richie is known for a surprise ending, and I think he delivered in this one as well. You are never quite sure who is going to come out on top.

It's his best film since...Snatch, which coincidentally was his last good film.

Nowhere near as good as lock Stock, nowhere near as good as Snatch, not half as intresting as Revolver. It's an ok film. Nothing special. He's done good films before, and Revolver was very ambitious. So he's really just falling back on what he had success with in the past, instead of trying something new or trying to do something that isn't as complicated as Revolver, but still more challenging than a Mockney crime film.

I doubt there will be a sequel, if Sherlock Holmes takes off he'll have bigger films on offer.
