He has been named the new captain of the Vancouver Canucks. He sure acted like a captain last year to the team, and should be awarded captaincy. The thing that is out of place is... he is a goalie. Its on the rules that a goalie cannot be the physical captain of an NHL team, so he will not wear the "C" but will still be the captain in all the senses of the word. I think he has earned the "C", even though he wont wear it. Do you think he does? Do you think goalies should be awarded the captaincy?

I think it's kinda ridiculous that a goalie can't be the captain. A captain should be a leader and a person who keeps everybody on track and that is what Luongo does. He is defenitley the heart of the Canucks(who are my 2nd fave team) and should get the letter "C".
