RIP DOINK.

PWInsider.com is reporting that Matt Osborne, who was the first man to portray the Doink The Clown character in the WWF, has passed away.

Osborne was found in Texas this morning by his girlfriend. Details on the story are still coming in.

Strangely, I was a fan of Big Josh before he moved to the WWe. A much overlooked proficient performer. RiP big lad - may you have been half an hour in heaven before the devil knew you were dead!

So sad. I just saw this on Tammy Sytch's Facebook, and she mentioned that she'd just seen him 2 days ago and he seemed fine. Such a tragedy.

Borne was such an underrated talent. If he'd been born 20 years later and came into today's business, without the drug culture that was prevalent when he was on the road, he'd be an Internet darling like a Punk or Ambrose. The guy was just such a talented worker.

Sadly though, he didn't, and today on the day he passes away, his work is largely unknown, except for the brief period of his career he spent as Doink... and the main site for this board doesn't even feel his passing is relevant enough to mention at all.

Big Josh was the first WCW wrestling figure I ever got. I remember being thoroughly unimpressed.

Evil Doink was really good. More of a prankster than a evil bastard, but still very enjoyable. And it's hard to hate on face Doink, he was friends with midgets.
