Revamping the Roster #3 - A-Ry, Alicia Fox and Beth Phoenix

Alex Riley - His gimmick is OK and Alex Riley can really do well on the mic. His feud with Miz was genuinely interesting but since then he has been bumped waaay down the roster. To me, A-Ry would be a real asset in a Tag Team with a guy who had a lot more experience in the ring but wasn't great on the mic. Someone like Justin Gabriel would be a good choice.

Alicia Fox - God, she is rough around the edges. I don't find her all that attractive personally but I get why some people do. The problem is that she can talk about as well as a rock, and wrestles equally well. She's so bad in the ring she almost caved in Beth Phoenix's skull with a LEG DROP. Honestly she is the embodiment of everything that's wrong with the Diva's division, Alicia is only on the roster because of her looks. Nothing More. If that's all you're going to keep her for, find something interesting for her to do. I almost made a joke about selling her to Hugh Hefner but realised that she is only one of two Black women on the roster so... yeah... moving swiftly on....

Beth Phoenix - Beth is being used well, but it's hard to imagine her as the "monster heel" in a feud with KHARMA. I can see a double turn on the horizon but I don't think the crowd will ever cheer for anyone over Kharma. Beth needs to become a LOT more evil. She needs to show her dominance over the rest of the Divas division. Handicap squash matches, anything. Beth needs to be the scariest Diva out there just to become a credible threat to Kharma.

I don't know about A-Ri. He petered out after his feud with the Miz. He seemed to get a good reaction from the crowd, but I guess the WWE creative team couldn't figure out what to do with him.

For a long time, I didn't think Alicia Fox was that bad in the ring - until she hurt Beth Phoenix.

Speaking of Beth, the whole "Divas Of Doom" was an epic fail, mainly because WWE would rather job them out in an effort to get Kelly Kelly over as "The Second Coming of Trish Stratus" (she's more Torrie Wilson than Trish). They made a good recovery with Beth, but Nattie has been destroyed, possibly beyond repair.

Also, I think they should book Beth more dominantly and creatively, so she can more believably go into a feud with Kharma. Last and certainly not least A-Ry should either start becoming used more in the mid card and feud with The IC or US champion, or if wwe FINALLY decide to make NXT an official 3rd brand, he should become one of the top faces of the brand!

It's far, far, faaar from the first time Alicia has botched a move, hell it wasn't even the first time she botched badly in THAT MATCH. I admit the flip before hand made it difficult for her to aim accurately but if you watch she was way off balance and could have just taken a second to right herself. It wasn't even the first time the WWE have tried to push her and she's totally screwed it up - remember when she was going to be the "Undefined" Diva's Champion? She's like a less talented Matt Hardy (she totally has the breasts for that btw but not the gut) she's had more than one chance to step up to the plate and she consistently drops a bollock every time she gets a chance. She is not big-time material, hell she's not small-time material and the fact that she is on the main Roster when someone who is far more talented is now appearing every week as Brodus Clay's dancer (it's just a matter of time before a Diva involves herself in one of Brodus' matches) it becomes clear that her spot on the roster is on borrowed time anyway.

As for alex riley, i agree that he should be put in a tag team. Hes good on the mic, and a tag title win or two could help him get over with the crowd. I think him and mason ryan would be a good team. They are both starting to branch out, it could help ryan develop his mic skills, and help riley perfect them. Both are also partially over with the crowd, and it would make for a good storyline when mason turns on riley. Like the whole cryme tyme thing, but way better, and their match being good.

I see where you're coming from in terms of Mason Ryan, but I think A-Ry would really gain from being teamed with an experienced worker. Someone like William Regal but a face

Riley is a bit hard to figure out. They had a decent start for him as more of a manager to Miz then they had the feud which was good for a while but it sorta lost momentum towards the end. I understand that they need young faces for Superstars/NXT/Dark matches but he is usually on the losing end of those.

I basically have to agree with Alicia. She has shown those moments of being a solid wrestler but she is far too green at this point. You can protect her in tag matches while she smooths out the edges but that may take a while. Blame Johnny Ace for her signing, it was he who did it.....after he saw her in a fashion magazine

I think they are making strides with Beth. Since the Rumble she has been taking an actively dominant role. Like when she blind tags herself in, hard. I've noticed that whichever Bella twin she has been doing it too lately is starting to take offense with it. She doesn't have much of a personality but she has the look and skills.

I agree about Alex Riley, he has the goods to be a lot bigger than he is, it seems to be an indication of the widening gap between the undercard and the guys on TV every week.

As for Alicia I didn't know that's how she got signed.

And finally for Beth I agree, actually I just watched Raw from last night where she broke Eves nose... Bloody typical that should happen the night after I lay into Alicia Fox for her botches and The injuries she causes.

Beth Phoenix: Diva Killer. That should be her angle; and since she does it anyway, it would work. Now...whether the clothesline was her fault, i dunno. Eve is pretty subpar. Candice Michelle was way pub par, and fubar-ed herself, imo.

And Alicia Fox...step into my office... She is a waste; she's been retooled forever, no talent. Her "skills" are lacking mainly due ot lack of experience still, and she's been around for years. You'd think something would rub off on her (no pun intended.)

I disagree with OP's opinions of the Divas, but I definitely agree with Riley. I always thought they should just insert him with Swagger & Ziggler and let those three run around, bragging about their collegiate success and bringing it to wrestling. But a team with Gabriel? I can dig it, mostly because I don't see either of them as viable contenders for mid card titles. Whatever you do with Riley, just make sure you give him direction. He seems like the type of man that has confidence enough to get over however they wanna portray him, they just have to be 100% about it.

I dig Ms. Fox. She looks like you're typical diva, but she has the athleticism to put her above K2 or the Bellas. Yea, she's green, but divas wrestle 2 minute matches? How can you expect for someone to get better without time? Any sports fan would know of players that never miss a shot during practice but airballs everything during the game. If you don't get any time in front of the cameras, you can't get better.

Beth is the only diva that should be comfortable in her spot. Sans Natalya, she's the best there. I would enjoy her coming to commentary on a weekly basis and bash the divas during their matches and see if anyone steps their game up. She's ready, and with the way the injury bug has floated throughout the E, might as well let her chill until Wrestlemania.

I liked Alicia Fox much better as a heel. She's decent in the ring and way above other divas on the roster. You should check out her match with Natalya from Superstars last year. It was a great match.
