Request a Review From KB

I just want to see Armageddon 2006 for the Ladder match, Inferno match, and Last Ride match. At the time I thought that was an awesome line-up.

All the Survivor Series have been done for nearly a year.

The match from No Holds Barred is included as a bonus in I think Survivor Series 89.

I got two Nitros I would like to see reviewed. They are both in either June or July, one is in 1997 and one is in 1998. I know if the first one is in June than the second one is in July, and vice versa. They are both from Jacksonville, Florida and the one from 1997 was a special Tuesday episode if that helps. These were my first ever live events and I would like to see if I saw good shows or not.

Thanks in advance.

EDIT: I think its July 1997 and June 1998.

KB, is No Way Out 2003 on your coming soon list? I would like to hear your thoughts on the Hogan/Rock rematch, but the bad part about this show is it featured a Steiner VS Triple H world title match. It's been a long time since I've seen it, but I vividly remember their match from Royal Rumble 2003, and man was it terrible.

The rematch is actually considered to be worse if you can believe that. Steiner/HHH that is. Yeah once I finish Cyber Sunday the next series is No Way Out.

Cool. I'll be looking forward to it. And Triple H's World Heavyweight Championship reign was so painful to watch, and this is coming from a Triple H fan. Luckily he had those matches with Shawn Michaels.

Yeah those angered me. HHH would dominate everyone else on the roster but he'll make Shawn look great every time. Of course Shawn can wrestle once in nearly 5 years and get by Jericho, Kane, Booker T, RVD and then kick out of a Pedigree to win the world title since HE needed the rub more than the rest of those guys.

I understand where you're coming from, but Shawn's win in the elimination chamber was one of those nostalgic moments. Returning from the back injury, beating his former best friend who had betrayed him, storyline wise, it was golden stuff. I've been on this forum for over a year now, and I can remember seeing tons of posts about how people wanted to see Shawn wear a world title one more time. That happened back at the elimination chamber match, and it's something we never saw again. People were also foaming at the mouth for him to take the WWE title off Cena at Wrestlemania, but it didn't happen.

Then what was Summerslam 2002 if not a nostalgia moment? They had that moment already. Are we really supposed to believe that Shawn is the best choice to be called the best wrestler on Raw after two matches in nearly 5 years? Nostalgia is fine, but not when it's so overblown that it overshadows the rest of the company.

That makes sense. Do you have the same thoughts about Hogan beating Triple H for the Undisputed title at Backlash? I believe that was shortly after he won the title from Jericho at Wrestlemania.

I think with Hogan it's a bit different, but not by much. Hogan is a far bigger star than Shawn, and he didn't get put over HHH twice and four other young stars to get the title. I didn't like Hogan winning it, but after the reactions he was getting it was more acceptable.

I always liked Hogan's 2002 run honestly, even as someone who has hated on Hogan alot in the past I thought it was a good choice giving him a quick little nostalgia run (and to have it be ended by the same guy who ended his title reign in '91 was a nice touch) he was getting amazing reactions again and he wasn't yet so old and crippled and could actually still wrestle a halfway decent match. Plus I loved it because of how Triple H got jobbed out to Hogan clean so quickly, was funny seeing Triple H on the opposite side of that equation for once.

Yeah I wasn't as irritated by that one as I was the one with Shawn. For one thing, Hogan was a semi-regular wrestler. Shawn in essence was a rookie all over again after the surgery and having to start all over.

Pfft fuck THAT nonsense! That was one of the things that kept me interested in wrestling in 2002 once I started to outgrow it a bit, I was always a huge HBK mark since I was a kid so to see him as the world champ again was amazing and I hold his title win at Survivor Series that year very near and dear to my heart. Shit, better than having Hunter continue to hold the belt and squash everyone in a ten mile radius of him, atleast HBK is someone who HHH was willing to put over.

I am soundly disappointed you hated that title reign so much, I loved it. It was just as believable as Hogan's title win was, moreso honestly because of how much younger Shawn is.

Not the title reign. The title win.

Shawn has wrestled ONCE in four and a half years, so let's put him over HHH, RVD, Booker T, Kane and Jericho, all of whom have had a combined ZERO shots at being the top guy (Jericho never was even as world champion) so we can give it to Shawn while his buddy HHH puts him over in the middle of the ring and the other four guys just go away. Kane does nothing of course, Jericho gets to feud with Shawn months later, RVD and Booker got nothing out of it for a long time until Booker got to job to HHH after the run of his life. Just hated this era and especially the win all around.

Meh, I loved it as an HBK fan. Considering the brutality of the one match he had wrestled since coming back, and considering his pedigree as a multiple time former world champion I saw nothing questionable about him winning.
