Getting Noticed By Management
One of these days I'm gonna make a non spam thread, but no one cares enough about image(save for my Uncle Sam) to reply.

So Rene Gougen, formerly known as Rene Dupree in WWE was interviewed recently and had nothing nice to say about WWE.For my sake I'm only focusing on the image part ^_^

-On getting new tattoos: "Basically, when you sign a contract with WWE, you sell your soul. You can't take a shit without asking their permission. That's the bottom line, that's the truth. The hell with that shit. No. Here in Japan, I get a new tattoo, and the boys are like, 'Oh, sugoi (which means awesome), new tattoo.'"

Well that's all well and good, but this is what you looked like in WWE

That's him at age 19, about 6 years ago. Obviously roided up :suspic:

This is him at age 23,with the free reign he so desired

Really, Rene? REALLY? You look like a beat up redneck now.

I'm on the same boat as you with only posting threads in spam sections now haha. I really liked his WWE run from what I saw. After hearing that Carlito interview nothing really surprises me with Vince and his Ego. I'm just glad that Rene is happy with his work in Japan cause he sure as hell can wrestle.

He looks much better now, he looked like a roided up douche in the WWE. Now it looks a lot more natural, and his wrestling has vastly improved.

I think he looked better before, not to say I'm advocating steroid use. He also talked about how no one is concern about cutting bullshit promos over in Japan, but the promos are some of the fun for me.

He looked a lot less natural in the 'E. And the promos don't matter as much there because the fans are pure marks, they appreciate anything.

Isn't this just another example of a former WWE guy who is pissed off because he was released from the company and because he probably wasn't good enough to make it in the company in the first place?

I love these guys who are so pro-WWE when they are there, enjoying the fame and notoriety that the top professional wrestling company in the world offers, not to mention the money, the lifestyle, etc., that comes with it.

Then they get released, their careers go into the tank, and all of a sudden, let the sour grapes fly. All of a sudden, Vince McMahon and the big bad WWE are the worst things in the world. Simple fact of the matter is that Rene Dupree was never that good. Once that became obvious, and he was future endeavoured, he became a bitter little man trying to eke out a living in Japan or on the indy circuit. And if Vince McMahon came calling tomorrow with cheque book in hand, to reunite "la Resistance," for example (God forbid!), Rene Dupree would be tripping over himself to get back on the big stage.

These former disgruntled WWE guys should just shut the hell up.

You've put my exact feelings into words I could never find.:worship:

The newer version of Rene looks like an angry cast off from The Ultimate Fighter. :p He probably was voted off since they realized who the hell he was...a frenchy club guy from WWE who had no real credibility when he tried to claim he was the most EXTREME guy when he was relegated to ECW. I think you are about 4 yrs too late french fry.
