Religious Question

I know that this is totally the wrong place to ask, but I know some of you on here are Christians. Here's my question: Why does God let bad things happen?

- free will
- satan causes bad things
- you learn stuff from the bad
- what may seem immediate bad is long term good
- because life would be boring all good things

Besides, people do bad things themselves. Nobody is responsible for bad things happening expect for those who do them.
