Recycled Superstar Theme Songs

Viola Moonlight

I'm Literally Just Here for WZCW
I didn't see any threads on this recently so... Anyone notice that some superstars entrance music seems to be a little familiar of music we have heard before? I was going through my Wrestling Music CD collections and realised a few things:

Katie Lea Burchill's new song - Remix of SmackDown's first theme "Beautiful People" by Marilyn Manson since the Brand Extension.

Ezekiel Jackson - Remix of the "Brawl For All" PPV Theme

Got any other's to contribute? Does this have any effect on you as a viewer about people using previous music themes?

To be honest, it's been years since anyone has had what I personally consider incredibly interesting or unique entrance music. Sure, there are some that fare better than others, but who could possibly compare to the breaking glass notifying us Stone Cold is coming to the ring, or "Do you smelllllllllllllll..." introducing The Rock? I remember marking out when I heard "Sexy Boy," old-school Shawn Michaels' music. The '80s and '90s were the peak of this. The only one I can think of immediately that is super-identifiable to me now-a-days is Mr. McMahon's music.

Eh, they do that pretty often until they find a person that becomes identifiable with that song. My favorite example of this is watching old Raw episodes and watching The Patriot come out to a little tune that would become the famed theme for Kurt Angle. You can't listen to it without hearing the "You Suck" chants in your head.

Swagger used Jamie Noble's first theme for awhile, Tiffany used Torrie's last theme before she got the new nymphomaniac theme.

Linda's is the old whooooa whoooooa wrestlemania song.

If I'm not mistaken, the music Tommy Dreamer uses now was the music that Bill DeMott used in WCW in his General Rection days.

You may be mistaken there. But not fully sure because i don't remember bill demotts WCW theme, it was too long ago lol.

But Tommy Dreamers current theme is a cheap knock off of "Man In The Box" by Alice in Chains, which was Tommys music in the original ECW.....So i'm pretty sure WWE just did their own version of it to get around paying royalties.

I was watching a clip of Sting vs. Hogan at Halloween Havoc (when Hogan lied down and didn't want to wrestle), and it was aired on 24/7.

They gave Sting Mike Knox's music.

Randy Orton used CM Punks current theme a week before WM22 I believe in 2006 when he was facing Super Crazy.WWE ditched the song for him because they thought it was too heavy for him if Im not mistaken

Shawn Michaels, Chris Jericho, and Big Show are the only three in WWE whose songs have remained the same, only had either a new band or a different singer, added to the song.
