Oracular Spectacular
Wrestling Realist
Recently I have been watching and listening to a lot of the High Spots Guest Booker Series of shoot interviews....If you havnt had a chance to see it check it out
Basically I have watched these to get a more realistic look into the world of booking and the art of telling a story through wrestling.
Firstly I love the Nexus angle(It has actually reinstated my faith in the integrity and progressive thinking of the wrestling world in general) but I would like to try my hand at improving things. I am going to first try to just book a few months, and If it does good I will continue on maybe into the present day as well as the future of the company.
Now I have set up a few prerequisites to this.
1. I will not be hiring any wrestlers outside of the realm of possibility
So no TNA guys and I will only be using wrestlers who are employed and one instance someone who has been hired recently(Tyler Black) and someone who was a "free agent" at the time(Homicide) these are the only two I will be using outside of the realm of the current roster
2. I am not booking every single show, match, or angle
The only things I will be addressing are things having to do with the Nexus angle.
3. I am trying to keep it PG but will go maybe into the PG-13 area
No blood or guts. I mused the idea of a more "Hardcore" Nexus but I am going to do this. I also want to take the challenge of booking intelligent stories in a PG era.
Ok here we go.

Wade Barrett starts off the show, He begins to talk about how much of an honor it is to be a full fledged member of the WWE. He talks about his dreams, future, hopes, ect. He is coming off as a face here and really gets the crowd on his side. Bret Hart comes down and welcomes Wade, putting him over and calling him the future of the company. He then announces that Barrett will be the special guest ref tonight when John Cena takes on Sheamus
*Note*
We are going to go ahead and say the main event has already been set up as Cena vs Orton vs Edge vs Sheamus.
Later on in the night The Miz is in the ring bragging about himself and cutting a solid heel promo. Hart comes out and announces that he has a special match for the Miz. Bret Hart announces Daniel Bryan as his opponent and makes the stipulation that if Bryan wins he gets a contract and a shot for the U.S title at Fatal-Four Way. Bryan goes over with a roll up out of nowhere.
The main event gets underway with Barrett as the ref, he shakes Cena's hand and Sheamus refuses a hand shake. The match goes off without a hitch until Cena hits Sheamus with the Attitude Adjustment, he goes for the pin and Barrett counts to two and the lights go out *Another Note, I am a sucker for the lights going out* They turn back on and the rest of the NXT cast(Including Daniel Bryan) are surrounding Cena. Beat down ensues, finishers are hit and there is a severe lack of ties involved, Sheamus attempts to even the odds and the NXT group beats him down as well. Barrett grabs a mic and simply says "You can't hold us all down" and Nexus pose over the prone Cena.
***Now this all may not seem progressive yet but it will be getting to it, I feel that Barrett teasing being a face would help the angle out a lot. This makes Cena look vulnerable as well as he can't hold back the numbers and the addition of Barrett saying "you can't hold us all down" adds the old "Kayfabe" storylines from the past that the old NWO would use.*****
*** Anyone wondering NXT Season Two will go off much like it did, I will use these characters later, but every episode will be basically like it was up until the season finale. Also disregard the Nexus angles on season two or just use you imagination that they went off normally with a few tweaks******
I will attempt to post a few weeks at a time but this one is just a teaser for now.
