Welcome to My (And Not Sly's) House
And the only thing that comes to my mind is screw Fedor. And no, he did nothing at all that made him seem like a jerk. That's not what I mean. What I mean is instead of everyone talking about Fedor and what it means for him, MAYBE 10% of the stuff I've seen has praised Werdum. Like Fedor or not, he's not the person that should be getting all of the attention. Werdum slayed the giant, Werdum should get more of the credit and more of the attention. Congratulations to you for doing the impossible and beating Fedor, which no one else can lay a legitimate claim to. You deserve FAR more attention and credit than you're getting and it's not fair to you that Fedor is getting all this attention after YOU were the cause of all of this.

Congratulations to Werdum.

Nobody talked about Buster Douglas after he beat Mike Tyson, man. It was "Tyson goes down!" not, "Buster Douglas is going to win!"

That's just how sports are, ESPECIALLY non-team sports.

But yeah... props to Werdum, as I said in the Strikeforce thread. No matter how flukish I think it was, that was still a historic victory and he deserves all the credit in the World for being able to catch Fedor.

Oh it was a total fluke win and in the end he'll likely wind up as a footnote. But for the next few days he deserves some glory. Fedor is going to be the talk of MMA for a long time. It's not going to hurt to let someone else have a moment in the sun. Even if Fedor beats Werdum 10 times with one punch per fight, Werdum shocked the world and is the only guy to have a legit win over Fedor. He had everything to gain and he capitalized on it. A week or so of talking about him is hardly too much to ask.

Not Fedor's fault he's given the most attention, tends to happen when you dominate a sport like Fedor has.

Oh not saying it's Fedor's fault. From everything I've seen him say he's a very humble guy. Not blaming him at all.

Meh it's just so shocking that someone who seems so close to invincible lose. I give all the credit to Werdum. The man proved a lot, and I really like how he looked at this chance but I agree. He's not getting enough respect.
