Introduction to "Re-booking History"



I will be covering/booking the WWF/WCW/ECW and other promotions that have significant impact on the business the further I get into this project. I will be starting in January 1992 and book all the way to present day (September 2009) and continue on. Here is what I will be doing.

- I will post detailed summaries of the month’s happenings for each company (starting with WCW and WWF) and post a detailed PPV/large show for the month.

- I’m going to try and do different things than what had happened. No point in just re-typing the same things over and over again. Expect something different and fun.

- Considering this is different, it will not be too far fetched. For instance, don’t expect Shawn Michaels to go to WCW or anything like that. But, to shake things up, once people’s contracts run up.. They may jump ship to shake things up and make it fresh.

- I will be starting in January of 1992 and will post past happenings that had happen the previous year to catch everyone up on what is happening around this time.

WWF heading into the year 1992


World Championship scene:
After a controversial finish to the Hulk Hogan/Undertaker match at the Tuesday in Texas pay-per-view, the championship is currently vacant. Hulk Hogan was the victor of the before mentioned contest, but was stripped of the championship and a champion will be crowned at the Royal Rumble in the Royal Rumble contest. Ric Flair, the man who is at the center of the controversial finish, Hulk Hogan and The Undertaker are all scheduled to be taking place in the contest to crown the champion. Will either of the three men walk away the champion, or will someone else walk out with the championship belt?

Intercontinental Championship scene:
Bret Hart is the current title holder having defeated Mr. Perfect at Summer Slam in a fantastic contest. Hart has been a fighting champion beating all the challengers he has gone to battle with since his title victory. Is their anyone in the WWF who can stop Bret Hart’s momentum, or will Bret Hart become one of the greatest Intercontinental champions of all time?

World Tag Team Championship scene:
Legion of Doom are the current title holders having defeated the Nasty Boys at Summer Slam. Legion of Doom have been dominate tag team champions, but there are plenty of tag teams that have yet to get their chance to become the champs. Surely the Nasty Boys, Beverly Brothers, Natural Disasters, and the recently formed Money Incorporated will be setting their sights at dethroning the Legion of Doom.

Other happenings:
- Shawn Michaels recently turned on his longtime tag team partner and good friend Marty Jannetty on a recent edition of the “Barber Shop”. Michaels has shed his good guy attitude for the more arrogant self indulging attitude while nicknaming himself the “Heartbreak Kid”. With Jannetty being out of action for a few weeks following the attack, Michaels is on cloud nine and everything is going his way. Only time till tell how 1992 will treat Shawn Michaels. - Jake Roberts ruined the Randy Savage/Elizabeth wedding at Summer Slam and has been involved in a heated rivalry with Randy Savage. They had their first match at Tuesday in Texas pay-per view with Savage defeating Roberts. However, after the match Roberts would get a measure of revenge by having his snake bite the arm of Randy Savage and shoving Elizabeth down to the mat. Surely, Savage will be out to get revenge.

- Rowdy Roddy Piper has been outspoken about his displeasure of Ric Flair coming into the WWF. Piper has taunted Flair whenever he has commentated during Flair’s contest and has gotten into a few brief confrontations with Flair. When will these two get their hands on each other and settle their long time rivalry?

- This plus, how will 1992 treat guys like Sid Justice, British Bulldog, The Mountie, Big Bossman, Sgt. Slaughter, the Nasty Boys, Virgil, Tito Santana, Rick Martel, The Undertaker, Tatanka and many more WWF superstars!​
 
WCW heading into the year 1992


World Heavyweight Championship scene:
Lex Luger is the reigning champion since defeating Barry Windham in July to win the then vacant championship. Since that time, Luger has tuned on the fans and aligned himself with the hated Harley Race. Luger managed to retain his championship defeating guys like Ron Simmons and Rick Steiner. However, Luger’s former best friend Sting is coming after the championship. Sting has extra motivation with the fact that Luger injured Sting to the point where Sting lost the WCW United States Championship to Rick Rude in November. Sting won the Battle bowl competition at Starrcade 1991 and will face Lex Luger for the championship at Super Brawl II. Will be the victor of this highly anticipated grudge match?

United States Championship scene:
Currently held by Rick Rude, Rude has made a huge impact since coming to WCW in October. Rude instantly became a force after winning the United States strap from Sting and aligning himself with the Dangerous Alliance stable managed by Paul Dangerously. With Sting now turning his attention to Lex Luger and the World Championship, who will challenge Rick Rude?

Television Championship scene:
Currently held by another Dangerous Alliance stable mate, Steve Austin. Austin has held the championship since June after defeating Bobby Eaton, whom he is now teammates with. Austin has only been in WCW for just over six months and already holds the WCW Television Championship. Austin has defeated the likes of Dustin Rhodes, Tom Zenk, and PN News during his title reign. Austin still has plenty of challengers to deal with that include the previously three mentioned, Brian Pillman, Ron Simmons, Van Hammer and Rick Steiner to name a few. Who will dethrone Austin, if anyone?

World Tag Team Championship scene:
Currently held by Dustin Rhodes and Ricky Steamboat. Steamboat returned to WCW and teamed with Rhodes to defeat the Enforcers, Arn Anderson and Larry Zbyszko. The Enforcers or any combination of the Dangerous Alliance are determined to get a rematch as they believe they didn’t have enough time to prepare for the returning Steamboat. Surely they will invoke their rematch clause. However, if they do not WCW has plenty of tag teams chomping at the chance to become champions. Will the odd yet successful team of Rhodes and Steamboat be able to hold onto the titles or will they not be able to work as a team and crumble?

Lightweight Championship scene:
Currently held by Jushin Liger who defeated the first champion Brian Pillman on Christmas day. Pillman is considered to be the top contender but there are plenty of lightweights who are in consideration which include, Johnny B. Badd, Marcus Alexander Bagwell, Richard Morton and Tom Zenk. Who will prevail and be able to call themselves a champion?

Other happenings
- The deranged Cactus Jack debuted in WCW in 1991 and showcased the things he would not only do to his opponents but to himself to win matches. Heading into 1992, Jack looks to earn a reward for his pain which consists of championship gold.

- After having his arm broken at Halloween Havoc by the Dangerous Alliance, Barry Windham will be returning to WCW. Windham will have revenge on his mind, but will he be able to get the revenge he seeks and who is on the top of his hit list?

- Diamond Dallas Page, Vinnie Vegas and the Diamond Studd better known as the “Vegas Connection” have placed all their money on 1992 being their year to shine and become richest athletes in the sports history. What do they have planned to make that a reality?

- How will 1992 treat guys likes Big Van Vader, the Steiner Brothers, Ron Simmons, Van Hammer and Tom Zenk?​
 



World Wrestling Federation January 1992

- The WWF World Tag Team Champions Legion of Doom have been on a roll, but they face new challengers that they have yet to face. Money Incorporated made it clear that they are the team that can defeat the Legion of Doom and in their words “bring respect to the tag team titles”. Money Inc. makes the first move when they attack Legion of Doom after a squash match. DiBiase and IRS hit LOD with their own tag team titles and rub their faces in the mat to add insult to the beating. Money Inc taunt LOD, but LOD recover fairly quickly and chase Money Inc to the backstage area. LOD get a measure of revenge when they attack Money Inc during a interview segment. LOD back DiBiase into the ring by himself where DiBiase tries to pay off LOD, but LOD will have none of it. However, DiBiase outsmarts them as he has paid off the Natural Disasters to have their back. The Disasters viciously attack the Legion of Doom as DiBiase and IRS taunt the tag team champions while giving orders to the Disasters. Money Inc versus Legion of Doom for the WWF World Tag Team Championships is announced for the Royal Rumble.

- Shawn Michaels has been on cloud nine since he turned on Marty Jannetty in late 1991. However, Michaels would soon be knocked back down to reality. After a match against Virgil, Michaels is surprised to see Marty Jannetty walking down the aisle way. Michaels leaves through the crowd as Jannetty leaps over the railing and chases after Michaels. In the weeks to follow, Michaels constantly looking behind his back not knowing where Jannetty will be. Jannetty plays with Michaels mind by not showing up again until the second to last Superstars show before the pay per view. Michaels is facing a jobber when Jannetty leaps over the railing and nails Michaels with a missile dropkick. Michaels bails to the floor and runs away, yet again. Jannetty will get an attempt to get revenge against Shawn Michaels at the Royal Rumble.

- British Bulldog enters 1992 looking to make impact. Bulldog goes over a few jobbers until he meets The Mountie on a edition of Superstars. Bulldog controls Mountie throughout the match, and Mountie decides to disqualify himself with a low blow. Mountie attacks Bulldog after their brief contest and says “time to put down the dog”. Mountie grabs his zapper and zaps Bulldog, twice. Bulldog rolls around on the mat and falls to the floor where he is attended to by several medics. The Mountie and Jimmy Hart believe they have “put the dog down for good.” Mountie thinks he has nothing to worry about with the British Bulldog out of action. That’s not the case as when the Mountie does the same attack on a jobber, Sgt. Slaughter makes the save clotheslines Mountie to the floor. Slaughter makes it known that he is going to get revenge for Bulldog and anyone else that Mountie has injured over the past month.

- Bret Hart keeps his fighting champion image throughout the month by defending the championship more than any other title holder. Hart finds a new challenger in the form of Rick “The Model” Martel. Martel cuts a heated promo on Bret Hart on a edition of Wrestling Challenge. Martel doesn’t believe Hart has beaten “Mr. Perfect” until he beats him, which he knows he can’t. Martel believes he will be able to become perfection with gold around his waist. Bret Hart accepts the challenge by Martel as he doesn’t back down from anyone. Martel shows he is serious when during a face to face confrontation with Hart, sprays his cologne into Hart’s mouth while he speaks. Hart manages to recover in a couple weeks and returns to attack Martel backstage until officials are seen keeping them apart.

- Sid Justice and Hulk Hogan have a series of interactions throughout the month. Justice had been brought into the WWF and aligned himself with Hulk Hogan. However, Sid Justice has a changed of heart on a edition of Primetime Wrestling when he power bomb Hulk Hogan. Justice reasoning is that he can go much further in the WWF by not having to be associated with Hulk Hogan. Hogan feels betrayed by the action and can’t believe that Justice would turn his back to Hogan and the fans without talking to him like a man. Justice doesn’t care and stands by what he did. Justice is only concerned about one thing and that’s being the WWF World Champion and not Hulk Hogan. Hogan will prove Justice wrong by winning the championship at the Royal Rumble, which Justice has said he will do whatever it takes to make sure Hogan doesn’t win the belt.

- Ric Flair makes it clear that he has been a World Champion before and will do the same here in WWF. Flair doesn’t believe guys like Hogan or Savage are near being on his level as he is a icon in the wrestling business as compared to heroes that Hogan and Savage are. Flair will prove that he is better than twenty nine men, by throwing them out of his ring and winning the prestigious WWF World Championship.

- During a Funeral Parlor segment with Randy Savage and Elizabeth, Paul Bearer and The Undertaker manage to distract Savage and Elizabeth enough so that Jake Roberts can attack Savage with a steel chair and DDT Savage on the floor. Undertaker holds Elizabeth as Roberts pulls a pair of scissors out of his pocket. Roberts grabs Elizabeth and cuts a strain of her hair off and tosses her onto Randy Savage who is not moving following the attack. Over the next few weeks, Roberts would come down to the ring defeat a jobber and proceed to taunt the fans and sniff the hair of Elizabeth that he had cut off. Roberts says that Elizabeth will wake up and smell the roses and realize that Randy Savage is not the man Jake Roberts is. Roberts believes he has won the heart of Elizabeth and he will prove it at the Royal Rumble.

World Championship Wrestling January 1992

- On a edition of Saturday Night, Dangerous Alliance members Arn Anderson and Larry Zbyszko viciously attack Dustin Rhodes and Ricky Steamboat with Steamboat suffering a severe shoulder injury. After the attack, Anderson and Zbyszko announce they are using their rematch clause in the contract and will battle Dustin Rhodes and Ricky Steamboat at the Clash of Champions. However, a week later on the Power Hour it is announced that Steamboat will not be able to compete due to his shoulder injury. Thus, Dustin Rhodes will be forced to defend the championships by himself. Rhodes shows what he can do when he beats a few jobber tag teams. Their had been talk of Rhodes being able to find a partner, but Paul E. Dangerously showed that the contract said only Dustin Rhodes and Ricky Steamboat are the legal tag team for the contest. This clause makes it official that Rhodes will be forced to face the Dangerous Alliance all by himself.

- Lex Luger ends up having more than one person to deal with. Sure he has to possibly deal with Sting at Super Brawl, but now after losing a tag team match by being pinned by Ron Simmons, Simmons has been awarded a title shot for the Clash of the Champions. Luger was furious with the decision that Simmons gets a title shot since he defeated Simmons at Halloween Havoc in October. Simmons had felt he had been cheated at Halloween Havoc. Simmons enters Clash of Champions knowing he can beat Luger. Sting has been vocal that he wants to beat Luger for the belt and injure Luger just as Luger had done to him. Can Simmons spin things around and prevent Sting from getting the title off Luger? Simmons hopes so.

- Speaking of Sting, a bounty has been placed on his head. Lex Luger has made it clear that he doesn’t want to face Sting. Luger’s reasoning is that Sting isn’t worthy nor at his level of skill. Luger wants to get rid of the threat before Super Brawl. Whomever gets the job done will be given $25,000. Luger does say that he has found someone who will take Sting out. Later on in the month, Diamond Dallas Page, Vinnie Vegas and the Diamond Studd decide to say they have been hired by Luger to take out Sting, effectively ending the bounty after several guys including Mr. Hughes, Dan Spivey and Thomas Rich. Page says that they will take Sting out and get the money and become the superstars they know they are. Page says that he will get the job done at the Clash of Champions.

- Scott Steiner has been impressing both fans and officials in WCW. He has also caught the eye of a female. The female being Madusa, and has prompted WCW United States Champion Rick Rude to become upset and rip on both Scott Steiner and Madusa. Madusa would be seen coming out during Scott Steiner’s matches and is clearly attracted to Steiner. Rick Rude would come out and drag Madusa to the backstage area while yelling at her which got Steiner’s attention after awhile. Rick Rude would insult Madusa during his own matches and Madusa got to the point where she would leave the ring and tell Scott Steiner who proceeded to run down and brawl with Rick Rude. During a interview segment, Scott Steiner reveals that Madusa is now his girlfriend/manager and that he is challenging Rick Rude to a title match. Rude responds by insulting Madusa with slanderous names and refusing the challenge. It would soon be announced that Scott Steiner would get a title shot if he defeated the other Dangerous Alliance members. Scott Steiner has defeated Arn Anderson, Larry Zbyszko and Steve Austin (by disqualification). Steiner needs to defeat Bobby Eaton at the Clash of Champions to get a title shot. Rude says that Steiner may have gotten the girl, but he will not be to cherish the glory.

- Barry Windham returns from an arm injury and attacks Steve Austin as Austin was arriving to a Saturday Night show. Windham tries to break Austin’s arm to get some sort of revenge, but security officials stop that from happening. Austin says that he wasn’t the guy to hurt Windham so he doesn’t see why Windham would come after him. During a interview of his own, Windham says that the wrestling business is all about revenge, titles and money. Windham can get some sort of revenge, a title and a lot of money when he beats Austin for the WCW Television Championship. Austin doesn’t like the sound of that and blames Anderson and Zbyszko for the situation he is now in. Windham picks up several wins over guys such as Fidel Sierra, Jimmy Garvin, Ricky Morton and The Nightstalker. Austin is scrambling to find someone who can re-break Windham’s arm. Austin reveals he has found this man, and that man will face Barry Windham at the Clash of the Champions.

- With Sting having to now deal with Luger, Page, Vegas, and Studd two men have stepped up to have Sting’s back. Those two men are the Junkyard Dog and Rick Steiner. Steiner and Dog aren’t going to allow Vegas and Studd to just sit back and relax at the Clash of Champions, they are going to have to fight. Vegas and Studd aren’t worried as they will gladly take Dog and Steiner out for free and proceed to watch Page take out Sting all in one night.

- Two of the top contenders for Jushin Liger’s WCW Lightweight Championship have been picking up impressive wins as of late. Brian Pillman and Tom Zenk have both been on a hot streak and will battle each other to see who will face Liger at WCW Super Brawl II. Both men have acknowledge they are friends, but they will do whatever it takes to win.

- Cactus Jack ended his estranged partnership with Abdullah the Butcher after attacking Butcher after they lost to Dustin Rhodes and Ricky Steamboat (before Steamboat was injured). Jack delivered several vicious chair shots to the back and head of Abdullah and would discuss the fact that he felt that Abdullah had become “shell of his former self”. Jack says he only associates with people who are as crazy as him and Abdullah had started to become “normal” and listening to the fans. Considering the history of the two men, they will meet at the Clash of Champions in a Falls Count Anywhere match.

World Wrestling Federation presents Royal Rumble
Date: January 19th, 1992
From: Albany, New York
Arena: Knickerboxer Arena
Announcers: Gorilla Monsoon and Bobby Heenan

Royal Rumble video package opens the show with several wrestlers cutting promos regarding the rumble match itself. Some of the men included are Ric Flair, Hulk Hogan, Sid Justice, and The Undertaker w/ Paul Bearer.

Gorilla Monsoon and Bobby Heenan welcome everyone to the Royal Rumble live on pay-per view and begin to promote the show. Monsoon believes that Hulk Hogan will regan what is rightfully is, the WWF World Championship. Heenan objects believing that Ric Flair will prove to the world that he is the real WWF World Champion. They continue to promote the show which includes the WWF Intercontinental Championship and WWF World Tag Team Championships on the line. Heenan and Monsoon continue to disagree on the results of the matches. Monsoon finishes off by promoting the Roberts/Savage and Michaels/Jannetty matches before sending over to the ring to start the show.

Opening Contest: © Bret Hart versus Rick Martel (WWF Intercontinental Championship)
Martel with the early advantage after dropping Hart throat first across the top rope. Martel would continue to work on Hart’s neck with several rest holds. Martel with a snap scoop slam for a near fall. Hart stops Martel with a jaw breaker and a running clothesline. Hart leaps off the middle rope nails Martel with another clothesline. Martel manages to comeback with a back suplex. Martel goes for a vertical suplex but Hart reverses connecting with a side Russian leg sweep and drops a flying forearm drop from the middle rope for a near fall. Hart takes Martel down with a snap suplex and charges towards Martel but is taken down with a side slam. Martel begins to taunt the crowd and fans by doing some jumping jacks. Martel places Hart on the top turnbuckle and connects with a superplex. Martel goes for the Boston Crab but Hart manages to push Martel off and Martel goes chest first into the corner. Hart comes off the ropes and drives Martel down to the mat with a running bulldog. Hart quickly follows up by locking in the Sharpshooter and Martel is forced to tap out after a few moments.
Winner and STILL WWF Intercontinental Champion: Bret Hart via submission

Gorilla Monsoon and Bobby Heenan go over the contest with Heenan shocked that Hart was able to beat someone of the caliber of Rick Martel. They turn their attention to the recent actions of Shawn Michaels and his upcoming match against Marty Jannetty. Heenan believes that it will be proven that Michaels carried Jannetty throughout their time as a tag team.

Second Contest: Marty Jannetty versus Shawn Michaels
Jannetty runs up the ramp way and literally chases Michaels through the crowd before grabbing Michaels and throwing Michaels over the railing to the floor. Michaels backs off and falls over the ring steps and Jannetty bounces on Michaels again. Jannetty sends Michaels hard into the ring post and Michaels is hurting early on. Jannetty sends Michaels back first into the guard railing and backdrops Michaels on the floor. Michaels rolls into the ring and begs for mercy. Jannetty continues to deliver boots and right hands in the corner until the referee steps in and backs Jannetty off. Jannetty goes back and Michaels manages to pull on Jannetty’s trunks and sends Jannetty shoulder first into the ring post. Michaels rolls Jannetty up and nearly wins the match. Michaels with a shoulder breaker and works on the shoulder of Jannetty for a few moments. Michaels with a backbreaker and signals for a side suplex. Michaels has Jannetty up in the air but Jannetty slides through and rolls Michales up for a near fall. Jannetty gets up and is met with a super kick by Michaels. Jannetty stumbles back and falls over the top rope to the floor. Michaels goes to the floor and taunts some fans in the front row before going towards Jannetty. Jannetty is up to one knee and proceeds to charge towards Michaels and spear him down. Jannetty with a series of right hands. Michaels crawls away and tries to escape through the crowd but Jannetty grabs him again. Michaels kicks Jannetty off and runs through the crowd with Jannetty close behind. They run to the backstage area, and the referee counts both men out.
Winner: Double count-out

Gorilla Monsoon and Bobby Heenan go over the previous match with Heenan furious that Marty Jannetty attacked Shawn Michaels before the contest making it unfair for Michaels. Monsoon believes that Michaels deserves it because of what he did to Jannetty a few weeks prior. Monsoon changes the subject to the WWF World Tag Team Championship match with the Legion of Doom defending against Money Inc.

Animal and DiBiase start off the contest with Animal getting the advanrage using his strength to slam DiBisae down a few times. Animal follows up with a leaping shoulder block and DiBiase backs off. DiBiase lures Animal into a corner and rakes Animal’s eyes. DiBiase with a few jabs to Animal’s ribs before leaping off the middle turnbuckle and connecting with a double axe handle. DiBiase with a running knee strike to the side of Animal’s head and tags in IRS. IRS chop blocks the leg of Animal locks in a leg lock. IRS grabs Animal and connects with a Samoan drop. IRS goes for the cover but Hawk breaks it up. IRS and DiBiase proceed to double team Animal behind the referees back. IRS comes off the ropes but is taken down with a power slam by Animal. Animal rolls to his corner and tags in Hawk who takes IRS and DiBiase down with clothesline. Hawk sends DiBiase to the floor and is low blowed from behind by IRS. IRS sends Hawk into the ropes and delivers a leaping clothesline and goes for the cover but only gets a two count. Hawk avoids a running splash in the corner and nails IRS with a neck breaker. IRS manages to tag out to DiBiase but DiBiase runs into a big boot by Hawk. Hawk attempts a gorilla press slam but DiBiase fights out of the hold and goes for the Million Dollar Dream. However, Hawk uses his strength to slam DiBiase. Hawk signals for the Doomsday Device and sends IRS to the floor. Hawk tags in Animal who places DiBiase on his shoulders and Hawk connects with the Doomsday Device to pick up the win.
Winners and STILL WWF World Tag Team Champions: Legion of Doom via pin fall

Gorilla puts over the dominance of the Legion of Doom continuing while Heenan is just silent and Monsoon picks on him to which point Heenan just mumbles. Monsoon hypes up the match between The Mountie and Sgt. Slaughter. Heenan speaks and says he hopes Mountie takes out Slaugher just like he did ot that stupid dog, referring to the British Bulldog.

Fourth Contest: Sgt. Slaughter versus The Mountie w/ Jimmy Hart
Mountie taunts Slaugher by mocking a dead dog to start the match, but while doing so Slaughter drops a elbow and delivers several right hands and boots. Mountie covers up in the corner but is sent across the ring and goes hard back first into the turnbuckle. Slaughter charges but Mountie gets both boots up and Slaugher falls. Mountie takes Slaughter down with a side suplex and connects with a standing fist drop. Mountie attempts a pile driver but Slaughter backdrops Mountie over the top to the floor. Slaughter goes to the floor and doesn’t realize that Mountie got his taser and zaps Slaughter! Mountie sends Slaughter back into the ring and eventually connects with a middle rope leg drop and picks up the win.

After the match, Mountie and Jimmy Hart celebrate their victory as officials check on Sgt. Slaughter.

Bobby Heenan is giddy over the fact that the Mountie picked up the win while Monsoon tells Heenan to shut his mouth. Heenan tells Monsoon he can’t tell him what to do and challenges Monsoon to a fight, but Monsoon doesn’t back down and Heenan backs off. Monsoon transitions into the Randy Savage/Jake Roberts feud. Heenan expects these two to seriously injure the other.

Fifth Contest: Randy Savage versus Jake Roberts
Roberts sits in the corner and Savage runs down to the ring. Roberts pops up and trades a series of right hands with Savage. Savage clotheslines Roberts over the top to the floor and goes to the top turnbuckle and leaps off connecting with a double axe handle on the floor. The momentum of the move sends Roberts back first into the railing. Savage gouges at Robert’s face and delivers several right hands. Savage sends Roberts back into the ring and Savage quickly re-enters as well. Savage sends Roberts into the corner and delivers several right hands before Roberts delivers a knee lift. Roberts a uppercut and a short arm clothesline. Roberts continues his offense with a hammerlock scoop slam. Roberts avoids a clothesline and delivers several jabs and a discus clothesline. Roberts with a scoop slam and a gut buster. Roberts goes to the corner and grabs the strain of hair he took from Elizabeth and rubs in Savage’s face. Roberts goes to put the hair back in the corner and is attacked by Savage with a running knee attack. Savage with ten punches in the corner. Savage with a hip toss and takes Roberts down with several clotheslines. Savage places Roberts on the top turnbuckle and connects with a back suplex for a near fall. Savage heads to the top turnbuckle and signals for the elbow drop. However, Roberts “accidentally” knocks the referee into the ropes and Savage is crotched on the ropes. Roberts proceeds to grab Savage and has him set up for a elevated DDT. That’s when Miss Elizabeth runs down hoping to prevent Roberts from doing anything like that. Roberts just smirks and blows a kiss to Elizabeth before planting Savage with the elevated DDT. Roberts goes for the cover while looking at Elizabeth and gets the three.

After the match, Roberts rolls to the floor and begins to stalk Elizabeth but before he can do anything officials run down and prevent Roberts from doing anything. Elizabeth enters the ring and checks on Savage and is clearly emotional.

Bobby Heenan is again happy at the result of the previous match and hopes that Elizabeth sees that Savage isn’t the man that Roberts is. Monsoon reminds Heenan that Roberts cheated to which Heenan says it doesn’t matter because he won the match. Moonsoon turns his attention to the match that matters most tonight and that is the Royal Rumble match for the vacant WWF World Championship. Heenan gives his prediction that Ric Flair will win while Monsoon says that Hulk Hogan will win the championship.

Video of several wrestlers proclaiming they will win the Royal Rumble is shown. The wrestlers included in the video are Hogan, Flair, Justice, Undertaker, Duggan, Texas Tornado, and Roddy Piper.

Main Event: Royal Rumble (vacant WWF World Championship)
The first entrant is revealed to Tatanka and the second entrant is revealed to be The Warlord. Tatanka comes off the ropes and is power slammed by Warlord. Warlord works on Tatanka in the corner delivering several shots to Tatanka’s lower back. Tatanka fights out of a military press slam attempt and delivers several overhand chops. Tatanka takes Warlord down with a cross body and tries to send Warlord over the top. However, a next entrant is about to come out.

The third entrant is revealed to be Haku. Haku runs down to the ring and nails Tatanka with a thrust kick that backs Tatanka against the ropes. Haku tries to send him over but Tatanka hangs on. Warlord briefly tries to help Haku before sending Haku into the ropes and delivering a leaping big boot. Tatanka takes Warlord down with a Samoan Drop. Haku gets up and connects with a gut wrench suplex on Tatanka. The next entrant is up.

The fourth entrant is revealed to be Hercules. Hercules connects with several clotheslines on Haku and Tatanka. Hercules with a running power slam on Tatanka before double teaming Haku with Warlord. Warlord with a side slam on Haku. Warlord and Hercules try to toss Tatanka out of the ring but Tatanka hooks the ropes. Haku heads over and works on the ribs of Hercules and connects with a standing kick to the chest. The next entrant is up.

The fifth entrant is revealed to be “Hacksaw” Jim Duggan. Duggan marches to the ring and delivers several right hands on Hercules, Warlord and Haku. Duggan with several shoulder blocks and clotheslines. Duggan works on Haku in the corner until Hercules takes Duggan down with a back suplex. Tatanka grabs Hercules and nearly sends him over the top but Hercules lands on the apron. Warlord charges towards Tatanka but misses a big boot and hits Hercules who then falls to the floor being eliminated first. Next entrant is up.

The sixth entrant is revealed to be Jerry Saggs. Saggs trades a series of right hands with Duggan with Duggan getting the better of the two. Duggan attempts a running clothesline in the corner but Saggs comes running out and connects with a clothesline of his own. Tatanka and Haku are trading chops before Warlord grabs Tatanka and connects with a side slam. Haku delivers several kicks in the corner to the midsection of Warlord before attempting to send him over the top. The next entrant is up.

The seventh entrant is revealed to be the Big Bossman. Bossman with several discus right hands taking down Warlord, Haku and Saggs. Bossman and Duggan team up to clothesline Haku over the top to the floor. Tatanka with a flapjack on Warlord. Saggs low blows Bossman and follows up with the Pit Stop and taunts the fans. Bossman fights back with a series of right hands and plants Saggs with a spine buster. The next entrant is up.

The eighth entrant is revealed to be Rick Martel. Martel jobs to the ring and focuses on Bossman’s leg with a chop block. Martel and Warlord double team Bossman connecting with a back suplex/neck breaker combo. Tatanka brawls with Martel in the corner delivering several overhand chops. Saggs with a running splash to stop Tatanka’s offense. Saggs turns around and is met with a running clothesline by Duggan. The next entrant is up.

The ninth entrant is revealed to be Ted DiBiase. Duggan turns his attention to DiBiase delivering severa right hands and scoop slam. Duggan signals for a knee drop and goes off the ropes but Warlord charges and clotheslines Duggan over the top to the floor. Martel is trying to throw Bossman over but Bossman is hanging on. Saggs delivers several shoulder rams in the corner on Tatanka. The next entrant is up.

The tenth entrant is revealed to be Roddy Piper. Piper runs down to the ring and takes out DiBiase, Martel and Warlord. Saggs charges towards Piper but is back dropped over the top to the floor. Piper is stopped by a press slam by Warlord and splashing Piper off the middle rope. Tatanka with a snap scoop slam on DiBiase. Bossman and Warlord trade right hands. Warlord powers Bossman up and connects with a gut wrench power bomb. The next entrant is up.

The eleventh entrant is revealed to be Koko B. Ware. Ware heads to the top turnbuckle and leaps off looking for a cross body on Warlord but Warlord catches Ware and connects with a backbreaker. DiBiase is choking Piper in the corner and tries to toss Piper over but is unsuccessful. Bossman is working on Martel in the corner and connects with a running body splash. Martel stumbles out and is met with a overhand chop by Tatanka. The next entrant is up.

The twelfth entrant is revealed to be Brian Knobbs. Knobbs runs down and brawls with Bossman. Piper has battled back an is working on DiBiase in the corner until the Warlord grabs Piper and allows DiBiase to get a few shots in. Tatanka backs Warlord against the ropes and manages to scoop slam Warlord. Martel with a swinging neck breaker on Tatanka. Martel goes to send Tatanka over the top but Tatanka stops and hip tosses Martel over to the flooor. The next entrant is up.

The thirteenth entrant is revealed to be The Mountie. Mountie works on Piper as soon as he enters. Bossman avoids a pit stop by Knobbs. Bossman sends Knobbs into the ropes and connects with a side walk slam. Bossman gets riled up but is quickly stopped by DiBiase with a side Russian leg sweep. DiBiase gets Warlord and they double team Bossman and finally manage to eliminate him. Koko charges towards Warlord but Warlord lifts Ware up and press slams Ware over the top onto Bossman. The next entrant is up.

The fourteenth entrant is revealed to be the Texas Tornado. Tornado with several right hands on DiBiase and Warlord before being stopped by Mountie. Mountie works on the shoulder of Tornado before spiking Tornado with a pile driver. Tatanka and Piper get a surge and begin to take on Warlord, DiBiase and Mountie. Piper with several chops and right hands while Tatanka delivers several overhand chops of his own. Knobbs is eliminated by Tatanka by tossing Knobbs over. The next entrant is up.

The fifteenth entrant is revealed to be The Undertaker. Undertaker slowly makes his way to the ring and all of the men in the ring don’t know what to do. Taker enters the ring and Mountie charges towards Taker who simply sends Mountie over the top to the floor. DiBiase shoves Warlord into war with Taker and holds his own for a moment. Taker with a big boot and choke slam before sending Warlord over. DiBiase is cornered by Taker, Piper, Tatanka and Tornado. The next entrant is up.

The sixteenth entrant is revealed to be Sid Justice. Justice makes his way to the ring and stares Taker down. Justice ends up battling with Tatanka and Tornado where Justice dominates both men. Justice sends Tornado over the top and power bombs Tatanka before eliminating him as well. DiBiase and Piper are battling in the corner while Justice is right in Taker face before they begin to trade right hands. Justice with a big boot that doesn’t knock Taker down. The crowd is really getting into the match as the next entrant is up.

The seventeenth entrant is revealed to be IRS. IRS helps his partner work on Roddy Piper as Taker and Justice continue to do battle in the corner. Taker and Justice are both attempting to choke slam the other with Justice ending that with a knee to Taker’s midsection and continuing to work on Taker. DiBiase locks in the Million Dollar Dream on Piper as IRS delivers boots and right hands to the midsection of Piper. The next entrant is up.

The eighteenth entrant is revealed to be Bret Hart. Hart sprints to the ring and trades right hands with IRS and takes DiBiase down with a running bulldog. Hart breaks up the Justice/Taker brawl as Hart works on Justice with right hands and boots. Justice shoves Hart off and clotheslines Hart down. Piper stumbles around and is choke slammed by Justice. Justice taunts the crowd but doesn’t realize Taker on the top turnubuckle who connects with a flying clothesline. The next entrant is up.

The nineteenth entrant is revealed to be Repo Man (replacing Sgt. Slaughter). Repo Man sneaks down to the ring and slides in working on Taker which doesn’t have any effect. Taker tosses Repo into the corner and delivers several rights and lefts. Taker with a running clothesline in the corner and choke slams Repo down. Taker stalks Repo until DiBiase and IRS chop block the legs of Taker. IRS grabs Piper and chokes him with his tie. The next entrant is up.

The twenty entrant is revealed to be Shawn Michaels. Michaels jogs to the ring and is taken down by Bret Hart. DiBiase and IRS work on Taker while Justice is working on Piper. Repo Man attacks Bret Hart with a neck breaker and begins helping Michaels send Hart over the top the floor. Repo cuts over Justice and works on Piper as well which pisses Justice off. Justice grabs Repo and eliminates him. The next entrant is up.

The twenty first entrant is revealed to be Animal. Animal goes right for DiBiase and IRS taking them down with shoulder blocks and power slams. Animal manages to dropkick IRS over the top to the floor. Justice attacks Animal with a clubbing blow to the back of Animal. Justice drops Animal face first on the top turnbuckle. Piper and Michaels are fighting trading right hands with Michaels trying to eliminate Piper. Hart and Taker are also going at it with Hart trying to power Taker up. The next entrant is up.

The twenty second entrant is revealed to be Owen Hart. Owen enters the ring and helps his brother work on Taker. Owen works on the knees while Bret works on the upper body. DiBiase heads over and works on Taker as well and Justice even comes over to help the cause. After a struggle, they manage to eliminate Taker and Justice also eliminates Bret Hart. Piper tries to throw Sid over but DiBise and Michaels stop that. Animal is hit with a super kick by Shawn Michaels. The next entrant is up.

The twenty third entrant is revealed to be Papa Shango. Paul Bearer is seen walking down to get the Undertaker is attacked by Papa Shango with smoking skull he brings. Shango grabs the urn and Taker goes after him to hurt Shango but realizes he has the urn and begins to follow him. Shango brings Taker to the backstage area, essentially forfeiting his spot in the Rumble. Michaels continues to work on Piper in the corner while Sid plants Animal with a power bomb. DiBiase tries to eliminate Owen but isn’t able to. The next entrant is up.

The twenty fourth entrant is revealed to be Marty Jannetty. Michaels sees Jannetty and tries to leave but Piper grabs him and holds him to allow Jannetty to get several blows in. Jannetty backs Michaels into a corner and lets a flurry and right hands. DiBiase attacks Jannetty to allow Michaels to get the advantage. Justice grabs Animal and eliminates him after a brief hassel. Owen Hart comes over and is quickly eliminated by Sid as well. The next entrant is up.

The twenty fifth entrant is revealed to be Hawk. Hawk storms the ring and goes right after Sid. Hawk with a flurry of offense in the corner. Hawk tries to eliminate Sid, but Sid manages to kick Hawk in the face and avoid elimination. Michaels plants Jannetty with a side suplex and as he taunts is tackled by Piper. DiBiase grabs Piper and locks in another Million Dollar Dream. DiBiase with a neck breaker on Piper and tries to send Piper out. The next entrant is up.

The twenty sixth entrant is revealed to be Ric Flair. Flair slowly makes his way down to the ring and helps DiBiase eliminate Piper. Flair taunts Piper. Flair works on Jannetty with several chops and Michaels comes over to get a few shots in. Hawk gets a surge of energy and knocks DiBiase down with a clothesline and does the same to Sid Justice. Hawk helps Jannetty by going after Flair with several right hands. Michaels tries to get involved but suffers a neck breaker from Hawk. The next entrant is up.

The twenty seventh entrant is revealed to be Jake Roberts. Roberts slithers into the ring and plants Hawk with a DDT. Jannetty has gone to the top rope looking for the Rocker Dropper but Roberts crotches Jannetty on the top and this allows Michaels to super kick Jannetty and Jannetty falls off and hit’s the floor and is eliminated. Hawk is all alone as the five heels in the match corner him. Luckily for Hawk, the next entrant is next.

The twenty eight entrant is revealed to be Hulk Hogan. Hogan makes his way to the ring and takes down Michaels, DiBiase and Roberts with right hands and boots. Hogan sets his sights on Justice and is low blowed by Roberts. Sid sets Hogan up and plants Hogan with a power bomb. DiBiase is working on Hawk but gets too cocky and is eliminated by Hawk. Flair grabs Hogan and tries to be the guy to eliminate him, but Sid doesn’t allow that to happen. The next entrant is up.

The twenty ninth entrant is revealed to be Virigl. Virgil tries to fight off the heels but is unable to as he is nailed with a super kick from Michaels. Michaels easily eliminates Virgil. Hogan is hurting as Sid and Flair begin to argue on who is going to eliminate Hogan. Michaels and Roberts work on Hawk and Hogan. Hawk avoids a super kick and clotheslines Michaels over the top to the floor. Roberts attacks Hawk and the crowd waits for the last entrant.

The final entrant is revealed to be Randy Savage. Roberts sees Savage and waits for him to come down to the ring. Savage makes his way to the ring and trades a flurry of right hands with Roberts. Savage backs Roberts against the ropes and leaps onto him and the momentum causes both men to be eliminated from the contest. Savage brawls with Roberts up the ramp way as officials run down and break up the brawl.

The final four is Sid Justice, Hawk, Hulk Hogan and Ric Flair. Hogan is getting worked on by both Flair and Sid until Hawk comes over and grabs Sid. Hawk with a scoop slam and his back appears to go out on him. Hawk comes off the ropes and looks for a big splash but Sid gets his knees up. Sid grabs Hawk and eliminates Hawk moments later. Flair and Justice agree to both eliminate Hogan. Hogan is worked on for several minutes but manages to take both men down with a double clothesline. Hogan with a big boot and leg drop on Flair. Hogan works on trying to eliminate Flair. Sid comes over and tosses both Hogan and Flair over. Hogan hits the floor, but Flair lands on the apron unknown to Sid. Sid thinks he has won the contest, but Flair rolls back in and manages to send Sid over the top to the floor and win the championship!

After the match, Ric Flair celebrates the win with Bobby Heenan as fireworks go off. Gorilla Monsoon can’t believe that Ric Flair has managed to pull off the victory.

Clash of Champions opening video which highlights the Luger/Simmons, Sting/Page and the tag team title match.

Jim Ross and Tony Schiavone welcome everyone to the show and go over what is scheduled to be on the broadcast. They go over the WCW World Heavyweight title match between Lex Luger and Ron Simmons. Both Schiavone and Ross believe that Simmons has a very real chance of defeating Luger for the belt. Ross transitions to the Sting/DDP match and wonders if the Vegas Connection will be able to take Sting out and become the superstars they have promised they will become. Schiavone goes over the Windham/mystery opponent and wonders who Windham will be facing tonight. Ross goes over the Scott Steiner/Bobby Eaton match with Steiner needing to win to get a WCW United States title shot. Ross sends it over to the ring to start the show.

Opening Contest: © Dustin Rhodes versus Dangerous Alliance (WCW World Tag Team Titles)
Rhodes fights off both Zbyszko and Anderson early on but eventually is controlled by Anderson following a series of left hands. Anderson sends Rhodes into the ropes and slams Rhodes down for a near fall. Anderson continues to work on Rhodes in the corner with several shoulder rams and sends Rhodes into the ropes and misses a clothesline. Rhodes comes off the ropes again and connects with a leaping clothesline. Rhodes places Anderson on the top turnbuckle and attempts a suplex but Zbyszko enters and stops Rhodes. Zbyszko takes Rhodes down with a electric chair slam. Anderson remains on the middle rope and nails Rhodes with a double axe handle and tags in Zbyszko. Zbyszko scoop slams Rhodes and works on the upper body of Rhodes. Zbyszko with a snap suplex and locks in a arm bar but Rhodes doesn’t give up. Zbyszko with a abdominal stretch but Rhodes hip tosses Zbyszko down. Zbyszko tags out to Anderson who works on Rhodes but Rhodes comes back with several right hands. Rhodes plants Anderson with a spine buster and nearly wins the match. Rhodes signals for the running bulldog and hooks Anderson but Anderson hangs onto the ropes and Rhodes falls. Rhodes gets up but is planted with a DDT by Anderson. Anderson goes for the cover and picks up the win.
Winners and NEW WCW World Tag Team Champions: The Dangerous Alliance via pin fall
After the match, the Dangerous Alliance celebrate their win by taunting the fans and kicking Dustin Rhodes while he is done on the mat.

Jim Ross and Tony Schiavone give credit to Dustin Rhodes putting up a good fight despite not having a tag team partner because of the Ricky Steamboat injury. They also mention how the Dangerous Alliance actually won the match fairly and hope that the Alliance would give Steamboat and Rhodes a re-match but for some reason, they don’t see that happening.

Second Contest: Brian Pillman versus Tom Zenk (#1 Contender WCW Lightweight Championship)
A fast start to the match with both men trading arm drags and dropkicks. Zenk with a flying head scissors that sends Pillman to the floor. Zenk with a suicide dive and gets the crowd pumped up for the match. Zenk sends Pillman back into the ring and looks to spring back into the ring but Pillman dropkicks Zenk and Zenk flips into the ring hurting. Pillman with a spinning heel kick for a near fall. Pillman with a tilt a whirl back breaker and locks in the surfboard submission but Zenk refuses to give in. Pillman attempts a springboard spinning heel kick but Zenk avoids the move and plants Pillman with a tornado DDT for a near fall. Zenk springs off the middle rope and connects with a dropkick. Pillman with side suplex and misses a splash coming off the ropes. Zenk with a leaping cross body and nearly picks up the win. Zenk signals for a top rope cross body but Pillman crotches Zenk and takes Zenk down with a hurricanrana and gets a near fall. Pillman goes for his own cross body but is met with a dropkick in midair! Zenk quickly heads to the top and connects with a flying cross body to pick up the win.

Jim Ross and Tony Schiavone put over the match they just witnessed. Both had thought Pillman would have won considering he is a former WCW Lightweight Champion. Ross believes that current champion Jushin Liger will have plenty on his hands when he meets Tom Zenk sometime in the near future.

Third Contest: Scott Steiner versus Bobby Eaton (If Steiner wins, he faces Rick Rude at SB)
Steiner with a overhead belly to belly suplex to start the match and follows up with a another belly to belly suplex which causes Eaton to bail from the ring. Moments later, WCW United States Champion Rick Rude comes down and whispers something in Eaton’s ear. Eaton slides back into the ring. They go to lockup but Eaton dropkicks the knee of Steiner and Rude acts like he told Eaton that. Eaton works on the leg of Steiner by dropping elbow drops and knee drops. Steiner avoids a swinging neck breaker attempt and plants Eaton with a double under hook power bomb. Eaton gets up and stumbles right into a tilt a whirl mat slam by Steiner for a near fall. Steiner gets pumped up but gets distracted by Rude who gets on the apron. Eaton tries to attack Steiner but Steiner senses it and moves out of the way which sees Eaton colliding with Rude. Eaton staggers back and Steiner connects with the Frankensteiner. Scott goes for the cover and picks up the win.

After the match, Rick Rude tries to nail Steiner with the WCW United States Championship but Steiner backdrops Rude over the top to the floor. Rude heads to the back angry with the result as Scott Steiner and Madusa celebrate in the ring with Steiner signaling that he will be coming for the championship at Super Brawl.

Jim Ross and Tony Schiavone really hype up the fact that Scott Steiner will now get a WCW United States title shot at Super Brawl II. They both believe that with Madusa on Steiner’s side, Steiner will walk away the champion and halt the recent streak the Dangerous Alliance has been on. Ross mentions the falls count anywhere match and makes to warn the viewers that Cactus Jack is a crazy man and there is no telling what he will do to Abdullah the Butcher coming up next.

Fourth Contest: Cactus Jack versus Abdullah the Butcher (Falls Count Anywhere)
Jack attacks Butcher from behind with a steel chair as Butcher was making his way to the ring to the ring. Jack nails Butcher again with the chair across the head and Butcher falls down and rolls off the entrance ramp to the floor. Jack leaps off the ramp way and nails Butcher with the chair again. Jack grabs Butcher and they fight to ringside. Jack is sent hard into the ring steps, flipping over the ring steps from the momentum. Butcher grabs a trash can and nails Jack with it. Butcher places the trash can on top of Jack and proceeds to splash on top of Jack for a near fall. Jack with a low blow with the chair and a swinging neck breaker on the floor. Jack grabs the chair and dives off the middle turnbuckle splashing onto Butcher on the concrete floor! Jack begins to make weird screetching noises and proceeds to plant Butcher with a double arm DDT on the chair while still on the concrete floor. Jack goes for the cover and picks up the win.

After the match, Jack viciously attacks Butcher several times with a chair until officials run down and stop the onslaught.

Jim Ross and Tony Schiavone put over the deranged Cactus Jack and wonder if Abdullah the Butcher will recover from the vicious attack. Schiavone believes that Jack needs a psychiatrist to help him with his issues as he isn’t a “normal person”. Ross agrees with the statement and is curious as to what Cactus Jack will do to himself or somebody else in WCW. Schiavone brings up the Vegas Connection and how they are seeking to become household names and rich just like Sting. So, they have decided to take him out for Lex Luger. However, JYD and Rick Steiner has Sting’s back and they will face Vinnie Vegas and Diamond Studd, next!

Fifth Contest: Junkyard Dog/Rick Steiner versus Vegas Connection (Vegas/Studd)
Studd and JYD start off the match with Studd controlling JYD early and often. Studd with a discus punch and a choke slam for a near fall. JYD fights back with several head butts and a scoop slam followed by a standing head butt. JYD tags in Steiner who knocks Studd down with a series of clotheslines and a side belly to belly suplex for a near fall. Studd quickly gets up but is taken down with a overhead belly to belly suplex by Steiner. Studd rolls to his corner and tags in Vegas. Vegas and Steiner trade a series of right hands until Vegas connects with a swinging side slam. Steiner attempts a lariat but Vegas powers Steiner up and slams Steiner down to the mat for a near fall. Vegas with a big boot that staggers Steiner into a corner. Vegas charges but Steiner moves and takes Vegas down with a release German suplex. Steiner plants Vegas with a reverse DDT. Steiner tags in JYD and JYD delivers several running head butts that knock Vegas down. JYD leaps off the middle turnbuckle looking for a flying head butt but Vegas moves out of the way. Vegas with a flapjack and tags in Studd who takes JYD down with a fall away slam. Studd places JYD on the top turnbuckle and connects with a back suplex for a near fall. Studd leaps off the middle rope and drives JYD down with a diving bulldog and nearly wins but Rick Steiner enters and breaks up the pin. Vegas enters and Steiner clotheslines Vegas to the floor but Vegas drags Steiner out as well. On the floor, Vegas drives Steiner face first into the ring steps with the snake eyes. Studd sets JYD up and plants JYD with the Diamond Death Drop for the win.

After the match, the Vegas Connection celebrate their win as the crowd jeer them.

Jim Ross and Tony Schiavone go over how winning the match has given the Vegas Connection a huge lift in their quest to take out Sting and become top tier talent. They also go over the Sting/Page match which will be happening later on in the evening. But first, Steve Austin’s mystery opponent will be facing Barry Windham. They wonder who could Austin have gotten to face Barry Windham before their match at Super Brawl II.

Steve Austin comes down to the ring and insults the crowd for cheering Barry Windham. Austin says that he has gotten a former Television Champion to end the career of Windham and end any hope Windham has in winning Austin’s WCW Television Championship. Austin reveals his mystery man to be…. TULLY BLANCHARD. Austin and Blanchard shake hands as they await Windham to make his way down to the ring for the match.

Sixth Contest: Barry Windham versus Tully Blanchard (Austin’s mystery opponent)
Austin distracts Windham which allows Blanchard to kick the leg of Windham. Blanchard works on Windham in the corner with right hands to the midsection and boots to the leg. Blanchard hip tosses Windham out of the corner and connects with a snap suplex. Blanchard works on Windham’s neck with several elbows to the side of Windham’s head. Blanchard with a hammerlock and takes Windham down with a back suplex. Blanchard continues with a gut wrench suplex and goes for the pin but Windham manages to kick out. Blanchard attempts another back suplex but Windham reverses and drops Blanchard with a delayed vertical suplex. Windham with a scoop slam and a running power slam for a near fall. Blanchard avoids a dropkick by hooking the ropes and Windham crashes down to the mat. Blanchard works on the leg/knee of Windham and goes for the figure four and has it locked in. Windham and Blanchard end up trading a series of overhand chops and eventually Windham manages to reverse the hold. Blanchard has to let go of the hold. Blanchard attempts a pile driver but Windham manages to block the move and drop Blanchard with a flapjack. Windham comes off the ropes and connects with a flying lariat and gets the three count for the win.

Windham celebrates the win as Steve Austin clutches onto his WCW Television Championship shaking his head that Windham will not be beating him for his belt.

Jim Ross and Tony Schiavone put over Barry Windham as a great competitor and believe that Steve Austin is in serious jeopardy to lose the WCW TV belt. They also wonder if Tully Blanchard is now part of the Dangerous Alliance. Jim Ross hypes up the Sting/Diamond Dallas Page match which is up next!

Seventh Contest: Sting versus Diamond Dallas Page
Sting with a flurry of right hands and clotheslines. Sting sends Page into a corner and attempts a Stinger Splash but Page got a boot up and Sting holds his ribs in pain. Page with a spinning spine buster and jumping DDT for a near fall. Page works on the ribs of Sting with several knees. Page with a gut wrench sit down power bomb and Sting gets the shoulder up after a two count. Page attempts a back drop but Sting kicks Page in the face and connects with a one arm bulldog. Sting with a military press slam and follows up with a diving cross body for a near fall. Sting with a dropkick that sends Page to the floor. Sting attempts a slingshot cross body but Page moves and Sting crashes hard on the floor. Page sends Sting back into the ring and delivers a gut wrench gut buster. Sting gets to his feet but Page connects with a float over DDT for a near fall. Page attempts a swinging neck breaker but Sting reverses with a backslide but only gets a two count. Sting with a scoop slam and leaps off the middle turnbuckle connecting with a big splash and nearly getting a win. Sting places Page on the top turnbuckle and attempts a superplex but Page fights Sting off and follows up with a flying clothesline. Page with a shoulder breaker and plants Sting with a DDT moments later. Page goes for the cover but Sting kicks out. Page works on Sting in the corner until Sting delivers a few chops and sends Page into a corner and connects with a Stinger Splash. Page stumbles out and Sting goes for the scorpion death lock and has it locked in. A few moments later, Vinnie Vegas and Diamond Studd run down and attack Sting causing a disqualification.
Winner: Sting via disqualfiication via interference by the Vegas Connection
After the match, Sting is attacked by the Vegas Connection for a few moments until Junkyard Dog and Rick Steiner run down and clean house saving Sting from the brutal attack. The Vegas Connection taunt the fans and the baby faces as they head to the backstage area.

Jim Ross and Tony Schiavone put over the evenly contested match and the actions of the Vegas Connection. Ross hopes that JYD, Rick Steiner and Sting fight off the Vegas Connection and Sting is able to win the WCW World Heavyweight Championship at Super Brawl II. Speaking of the WCW World Heavyweight Championship, Schiavone hypes up the Lex Luger/Ron Simmons match which is coming up next!

Luger sends Simmons into the ropes and connects with a power slam. Luger with a neck breaker and a back suplex. Simmons gets out of a scoop slam attempt and comes off the ropes taking Luger down with a leaping shoulder block and several football tackles taking Luger’s legs out. Simmons goes for a running power slam but Luger sends Simmons chest first into the turnbuckle padding and takes Simmons out with a running clothesline and gets a near fall. Luger with a back breaker and a back suplex to continue working on Simmons back. Luger with a superplex off the middle rope and nearly picks up the win. Simmons battles back with a short arm clothesline and plants Luger with a standing thrust spine buster for a near fall when Luger gets his foot on the bottom rope. Luger with a backbreaker and locks in a camel clutch. Simmons stands up and rams Luger back first into the corner. Simmons takes Luger over with a release overhead belly to belly suplex. Simmons leaps off the middle turnbuckle and knocks Luger down with a shoulder block. Simmons attempts a inverted front power slam, but Luger fights out of if and with Harley Race distracting the referee, low blows Simmons and spikes Simmons with the pile driver. Luger goes for the cover, using the tights for leverage, to pick up the win.

After the match, Luger and Race celebrate the win over Ron Simmons as Sting runs down to the ring and protects Simmons from any further beating. Luger shows Sting the championship belt and tells him that will be as close as he will ever get to winning the belt from him.

World Wrestling Federation February 1992

- Money Incorporated were unable to defeat the dominate Legion of Doom at the Royal Rumble but they have someone else to blame. Money Incorporated believe that the Natural Disasters didn’t do their job and that if the Disasters didn’t screw them over, they would have easily beaten the tag team champions, Legion of Doom. The Disasters don’t appreciate this and tell Money Inc that perhaps they aren’t good enough to defeat the champions and need help from a better tag team. This leads to a wild brawl with the Disasters winning the battle. Over the course of several weeks, Money Inc sneak attack the Disasters working specifically on their knees with their briefcase. It is announced that Money Incorporated will face the Natural Disasters at Saturday Night Main Event in a number one contenders match with the winner facing the Legion of Doom at Wrestle Mania VIII.

- Repo Man sneaks around during matches and acts like he is going to steal items from various wrestlers but doesn’t end up doing it. Repo does however eventually steal the war path feather of the newly debuted Tatanka during a edition of Primetime Wrestling. Tatanka tries to get the item back from Repo Man during Repo’s matches but Repo always manages to hold onto the item and run. Repo goes on to say that he use to steal items just for the fun of it, but now he is getting paid by someone who wants all of these items. Repo doesn’t tell who is paying him. Tatanka makes it known that Repo will pay for stealing some so important to him.

- Bret Hart continues to fight anyone that wants to step up and try to become the WWF Intercontinental Champion. This time, however, he has to deal with a much bigger man. The Warlord answered Bret Hart’s challenge after Hart defeated Rick Martel on Primetime Wrestling. Warlord locked in a bear hug and choked Hart out in the ring. Warlord impresses as he defeats guys such as Tito Santana, Jimmy Snuka and Virgil in fairly quick fashion. Bret Hart says he isn’t going to back down from the Warlord and that even though Warlord may be bigger than him, he doesn’t have a bigger heart of determination that Hart has.

- With The Mountie taking out both the British Bulldog and Sgt. Slaughter with his taser, another man has stepped up to stop the brash, and obnoxious Mountie. This man also has something to perhaps cancel out the taser. Jim Duggan has said that Mountie has taken out two guys who didn’t have a weapon, Duggan says that with his 2x4 he can knock Mountie out of the WWF. Duggan tries several weeks to nail Mountie with the 2x4, but Mountie manages to avoid the attack every time. What will prevail the 2x4 or the taser?

- With Ric Flair winning the WWF World Championship at the Royal Rumble, Roddy Piper has made it known that he wants Flair to take him out of the WWF and take the championship belt. However, he isn’t the only one who wants to have that chance. Hulk Hogan, one of the final four in the rumble match, believes that he was robbed because of Sid and he can’t live with the fact that he failed. Piper and Hogan have a disagreement with who should get the first title shot. A third man would get involved, and that would be Sid Justice. Justice believes that the fans don’t want to see Piper or Hogan going for the belt, but rather Justice being the champion. Ric Flair chimes in and believes that none of the three are at his level in terms of popularity or skill. Flair doesn’t think anyone should get a title shot. Sadly for Flair, he would have to team up with Sid Justice and face Hogan and Piper at Saturday Night Main Event.

- Papa Shango forfeited his place in the Royal Rumble to attack Paul Bearer and still the urn that controls The Undertaker. Undertaker seemed as if he was going to attack Shango, but with Shango having control of the urn, Undertaker was unable to do so. In the weeks that followed the Royal Rumble, vignettes of Papa Shango ordering Undertaker in a graveyard is shown. However, what they are working on isn’t shown. The week before Saturday Night Main Event on Primetime Wrestling, it is revealed that Shango has taken over the reigns in ending the career of Randy Savage along with The Undertaker and Jake Roberts. Shango makes it clear that with his “creature of the dark”, the WWF will be at their mercy.

- Feeling cheated at the Royal Rumble after a double count-out finish, Marty Jannetty is not done with Shawn Michaels. Jannetty wants Michaels again but in a match where he can get his hands on Michaels without Michaels being able to run, and if Michaels does run, Jannetty would literally be right behind him. Jannetty would toss around some match ideas to the public seeing which got the best reaction. Jannetty challenged Shawn Michaels to a “lumberjack match at the Saturday Night Main Event. Obviously Shawn Michaels would decline the offer, but Jack Tunney decided to book the match since Shawn Michaels caused the Royal Rumble match to not have a clear cut winner. Michaels feels ganged up on by Jannetty and management and will show Jannetty that he is the better of the two. Over the next couple of weeks, Jannetty and Michaels would begin to recruit guys to be on their side. Both men get five guys to have their back. Michaels would recruit the Beverly Brothers, Rick Martel, The Barbarian and Haku. Jannetty would manage to get the Bushwhackers, Texas Tornado, Virgil and Tito Santana.

World Championship Wrestling February 1992

- With the Dangerous Alliance winning the WCW World Tag Team championships at the Clash of Champions after defeating Dustin Rhodes in a handicap after Ricky Steamboat was attacked and injured to open up the year. Steamboat would return the first week of February helping Rhodes fight off the Dangerous Alliance and Vegas Connection on a Saturday Night edition. Once Rhodes notices who helped him he shoves Steamboat and leaves the ring on his own. On a edition of Worldwide, Steamboat has a face to face conversation with Rhodes in the ring. Rhodes reveals that he feels like Steamboat didn’t have his back and wasn’t “tough enough” to be his partner and that he made a mistake trusting Steamboat. Steamboat tries telling Rhodes that he wasn’t able to compete because the doctors wouldn’t clear him or he would have been their in a heartbeat. Rhodes can’t believe Steamboat was a WCW World Champion with the lack of toughness. Rhodes ends up challenging Ricky Steamboat to a match at Superbrawl II. Steamboat thinks about it and accepts Rhodes challenge. They shake hands and both say “may the best man win”.

- WCW Television Champion Steve Austin has to deal with challenger Barry Windham after Windham defeated Austin’s surprise opponent for Windham, Tully Blanchard at the Clash of the Champions. Austin comes out mocking Barry Windham on a edition of Saturday Night dressed up as a “dumb hillbilly” insulting Barry Windham. Austin even has a little set up where he ties up some fake horses and is chewing on some straw to poke fun at Barry Windham. Austin continues to insult Windham, until Barry Windham sneaks into the ring and nails Austin with a lariat. Over the next few weeks, Windham would do battle with several Dangerous Alliance members and after a match with Rick Rude, Austin runs down and nails Windham with the WCW Television Championship busting Windham open. Austin also says that he is the greatest WCW Television Champion to ever work in WCW, and that Windham will learn that the hard way at Superbrawl II.

- The Vegas Connection continue to try and prove their worth in WCW, and they will do whatever it takes to do so. Diamond Dallas Page, Diamond Studd and Vinnie Vegas viciously attack the Junkyard Dog and whip him with their belts until Ron Simmons and Rick Steiner run down to make the save. The Vegas Connection have their sights on Rick Steiner and Ron Simmons for the saving of JYD. Studd and Vegas attacks Rick Steiner by hanging Steiner over the top rope and allowing Page to jab Steiner with a steel chair. Ron Simmons is the next target, but is able to fight off the Vegas Connection. Simmons beats Vegas on a edition of Power Hour, but is attacked by Studd and Page. However, JYD and Rick Steiner run down and save Simmons from the attack. It is announced that the Vegas Connection will take on JYD, Rick Steiner and Ron Simmons in a elimination match at Superbrawl II.

- WCW World Tag Team Champions Dangerous Alliance members Arn Anderson and Larry Zbyszko flaunt their tag team title win and believe that now they will be unbeatable. Anderson claims that the Dangerous Alliance is the greatest group of wrestlers ever compiled and that no two men can meet their level of excellence. The Freebirds answer that claim by saying they have been the best two man group for several years and can’t be pushed aside for the several months the Dangerous Alliance has been grouped together. The Freebirds mention how the Dangerous Alliance defeated only one man (Dustin Rhodes) to regain the titles. The Freebirds challenge the champions to a tag team match at Superbrawl II. After a brief discussion with their manger Paul E. Dangerously, the champions agree but only if one of the Freebirds defeats them in a singles match. Michael PS Hayes pins Larry Zbyszko to get his team a tag team title shot at Superbrawl II.

- The deranged Cactus Jack has taken out his once friend Abdullah the Butcher and has now turned his attention to becoming a champion. Jack would cut some creepy promos proclaiming that he has a interest in the WCW World Heavyweight Title match. Cactus doesn’t care which of the two “pretty boys” wins at Superbrawl because he will make both scream, cry and bleed. Cactus do whatever it takes, legally or illegally to be known as a world champion.

- WCW United States Champion Rick Rude is feeling the pressure of top contender Scott Steiner. Steiner continues to pick up impressive wins over other Dangerous Alliance members. Steiner defeated Tully Blanchard on a Worldwide episode but is brutality beaten down by Rick Rude and Tully Blanchard. Rude and Blanchard spike Scott Steiner with a pile driver. Rude doesn’t stop their as he connects with the Rude Awakening on the concrete floor. Blanchard grabs Madusa and has her look right into the lifeless Steiner before throwing her on top of Steiner. Rude believes that Steiner won’t even make it to the Superbrawl event.

- Bobby Eaton has made it clear that he doesn’t like one thing and that is someone who is over the top “flamboyant”. Eaton made this apparent when he attacked Johnny B. Badd during a interview segment. Eaton believes that Badd is a disgrace to wrestling as Badd is making wrestling seem like a pageant. On a edition of Worldwide, Eaton breaks Paul E. Dangerously phone across the face of Johnny B. Badd hoping he gets the message. However, Badd doesn’t get the message and returns the following week to knock Eaton out cold with a nasty left hook. Eaton challenges the “sissy” Johnny B. Badd to a match at Superbrawl II, which is accepted.

- Of course there is the big WCW World Heavyweight Championship match between Sting and Lex Luger. Both Sting and Lex Luger have been told to not lay a hand on each other, let alone be face to face with each other. This is to make sure that neither man is hurt before this epic encounter. Over the course of the weeks leading up to the second annual Superbrawl event, Luger insults Sting by saying that he doesn’t need “paint to cover up this face” as he puts down the looks and the marketability he has with women. Luger believes he is the best of the two and is a better WCW World Heavyweight Champion. Sting gets some words in and says that he always knew Luger was jealous of him. Sting believes that Luger is afraid of him and that is why Luger constantly has people trying to take Sting out. Sting says that Luger will have to do that himself, if he can, at Superbrawl II.

Vince McMahon and Bobby Heenan welcome everyone to the show and go over what is scheduled to be on the show. McMahon promotes the Marty Jannetty/Shawn Michaels lumberjack match. Heenan says that finally Michaels will get his hands on Jannetty and Jannetty won’t be able to run. McMahon dismisses that and says it’s the other way around. McMahon also mentions the number one contenders match between Money Inc and the Natural Disasters. Heenan warns LOD that when Money Inc. wins they will capitalize on their second chance. McMahon lastly promotes the big tag team main event which will see Hulk Hogan team up with Roddy Piper to take on the WWF World Champion Ric Flair and Sid Justice. Heenan sides with the team of Ric Flair and Sid Justice. McMahon sends it over to the ring to start the show.

Opening Contest: Natural Disasters versus Money Inc (#1 Contenders Match)
Typhoon and IRS start the contest with IRS working on Typhoon with several right hands trying to knock the big man down. Typhoon shoves IRS into a corner and delivers a running body splash which causes IRS to bail to the floor. IRS eventually enters the ring again and gouges Typhoon’s eyes. IRS with a baseball slide to the legs of Typhoon to knock the big man off his feet. IRS drops a few elbows drops to the right leg of Typhoon. IRS tags in DiBiase who drops a knee off the middle turnbuckle to the leg of Typhoon. DiBiase with a standing fist drop and gets a near fall. DiBiase works on the leg of Typhoon until Typhoon uses his leg strength to send DiBiase into a corner. Typhoon gets up and scoop slams DiBiase down and clutches his leg in pain. Typhoon tags Earthquake who slams DiBiase down and sends IRS to the floor. DiBiase works on Earthquake against the ropes and attempts to send Earthquake across the ring but Earthquake blocks and sends DiBiase into the ropes and connects with a backdrop. DiBiase backs off and tries to tag in IRS, who is still on the floor. Earthquake charges the corner and runs into the boots of DiBiase. DiBiase leaps off the middle rope looking for a double axe handle but is caught in midair and Earthquake locks in a bear hug. On the floor, IRS pulls Typhoon down and Typhoon hit’s the apron face first. Typhoon doesn’t like that, so he goes to grab a chair which gets the referee’s attention. IRS quickly goes to the other side of the ring and grabs his steel briefcase. IRS slides into the ring and nails Earthquake right in the head with the briefcase! DiBiase locks in the Million Dollar Dream as the referee turns around and sees that Earthquake is unconscious. The referee calls for the bell.
Winners and #1 Contenders to the WWF World Tag Team Championships: Money Inc. via TKO
After the match, Money Inc. quickly bail from the ring as Typhoon re-enters the ring to check on his partner.

Vince McMahon and Bobby Heenan put over the contest with McMahon not happy the way it ended. Heenan says that the referee earned his paycheck tonight. McMahon believes that Heenan is saying the referee is “on the take”. Heenan avoids the question. McMahon hypes up the Repo Man/Tatanka match which has lead to a match tonight after Repo Man stole Tatanka’s war path feather.

Second Contest: Repo Man versus Tatanka
Tatanka with several chops and overhand chops early on but is stopped with a eye rake. Repo with a double leg takedown and delivers several right hands. Repo sends Tatanka back first into the corner and follows up with several shoulder rams. Repo with a hip toss and clothesline to control Tatanka. Repo drops down on the back of Tatanka a couple of times but on the third attempt, Tatanka turns over and gets his knees up to stop Repo’s attack. Tatanka with a scoop slam and a cross body coming off the ropes for a near fall. Tatanka heads to the top rope but Repo stops Tatanka and slams Tatanka back down to the mat. Repo with a backbreaker and attempts a shoulder breaker but Tatanka slides off and plants Repo with a Samoan Drop to pick up the win.
Winner: Tatanka via pin fall
After the match, Tatanka gets his war path feather back and clotheslines Repo to the floor when Repo Man attempted to attack Tatanka.

Vince McMahon is happy for Tatanka to get his war path feather back. Heenan doesn’t get what is so great about a stupid feather. McMahon puts over the importance but Heenan doesn’t care. McMahon hypes up the match between The Mountie and Jim Duggan. Heenan believes that the taser will prevail over the 2x4 tonight.

Third Contest: “Hacksaw” Jim Duggan versus The Mountie w/Jimmy Hart
Duggan backs Mountie into a corner and delivers several right hands that actually send Mountie over the top to the floor. Duggan follows and sends Mountie head first into the ring steps and back first into the guard railing. Mountie stumbles around and is taken down with a clothesline. Duggan sends Mountie back into the ring and plays to the crowd. Mountie gains control with boots to the head when Duggan re-enters the ring. Mountie with a scoop slam and clothesline. Mountie continues his attack with a vertical suplex which gets a near fall. Mountie locks in a chin lock but Duggan manages to power out of the move. Duggan works on Mountie in the corner with right hands and powers Mountie down with a running power slam. Jimmy Hart gets on the apron and distracts Duggan as he goes for a three point stance clothesline. Duggan grabs Hart and is attacked form behind with the megaphone that Hart had thrown into the ring. The referee calls for the bell.
Winner: “Hacksaw” Jim Duggan via disqualification
After the match, Mountie grabs his taser and taunts the crowd as if he is going to taser Duggan. However, the crowd erupts as the British Bulldog runs down to the ring and nails Mountie with a clothesline. Mountie and Jimmy Hart quickly back peddle to the backstage area shocked to see the British Bulldog.

Vince McMahon is happy to see the British Bulldog return to the WWF and get his hands on the Mountie although it was very brief. Bobby Heenan calls Bulldog a coward for attacking Mountie when Mountie wasn’t paying attention. McMahon thinks that’s fine considering what Mountie did to Bulldog last month. Heenan doesn’t care and thinks that McMahon is a hypocrite. McMahon transitions to promote the “fighting champion” or simply the WWF Intercontinental Champion Bret Hart taking on the powerful Warlord. Heenan predicts that Warlord will separate the shoulders of Bret Hart when he locks in the full nelson and walks away with the Intercontinental Championship.

Warlord controls Hart early on with a powerful scoop slam and a standing splash which gets a near fall. Warlord sends Hart into the ropes and powers Hart up connecting with a military press slam. Warlord sends Hart back first into the corner and rams his shoulder into the midsection of Hart. Warlord charges the corner but Hart avoids Warlord and takes Warlord down with a side Russian leg sweep. Hart ducks a clothesline and manages to take Warlord down with a side suplex. Hart leaps off the middle turnbuckle looking for a clothesline but Warlord catches Hart and slams Hart down in the middle of the ring. Warlord signals for the full nelson but Hart drops down and manages to roll Warlord up for the surprise win!
Winner and STILL WWF Intercontinental Champion: Bret Hart via pin fall
After the match, Warlord tries to attack Hart but is unable to as Hart fights him off with right hands and dropkicks Warlord to the floor.

Vince McMahon puts over the win by Bret Hart while Bobby Heenan is convinced that Hart had a hand full of tights. McMahon hypes up the lumberjack match between former tag team partners and best friends, Shawn Michaels and Marty Jannetty. McMahon goes over the lumberjacks for each men and predicts that Jannetty will finally get the revenge he seeks against Michaels. Heenan calls McMahon a “moron” and knows that Michaels will prove he is the better of the two and will walk away the winner tonight.

Fifth Contest: Shawn Michaels versus Marty Jannetty (Lumberjack match)
Michaels lumberjacks are the Beverly Brothers, Rick Martel, Barbarian and Haku. Jannetty’s lumberjacks are the Bushwhackers, Texas Tornado, Big Bossman and Tito Santana.
Jannetty works on Michaels in the corner until Michaels bails to the floor and runs away from the lumberjacks before being forced back into the ring by Bossman. Michaels doesn’t appreciate Bossman putting his hands on him but forgets about Jannetty. Jannetty sends Michaels into the ropes and connects with a spinning back elbow. Jannetty leaps up and takes Michaels down with a hurricanrana. Michaels stumbles around and backs into a corner. Jannetty with ten punches in the corner and plays to the crowd. Michaels manages to lift Jannetty up and drops Jannetty face first against the top turnbuckle. Michaels works on Jannetty in the corner for a few moments taunting the lumberjacks and hip tosses Jannetty to the center of the ring. Michaels attempts a super kick but Jannetty ducks and scoop slams Michaels down. Michaels backs up against the ropes and sends the charging Jannetty over the top to the floor. Jannetty lands right in front of Rick Martel who really goes to work on Jannetty and sends Jannetty into the guard railing. Bossman, Tornado and Santana head over and brawl with the other lumberjacks. Jannetty rolls back into the ring and Michaels continues to work on Jannetty with a side suplex. Michaels goes for the cover but Jannetty kicks out. Michaels goes for a shoulder breaker but Jannetty sends Michaels into the ropes and connects with a cross body for a near fall. Jannetty with a couple of Japanese arm drags and a vertical suplex. Michaels is seen going into his trunks and grabbing a chain, but Bossman sees this and grabs the arm of Michaels so that Michaels wouldn’t be able to hit Jannetty. Michaels spins around and hit with the Rocker Dropper by Jannetty. Jannetty goes for the cover and picks up the win as the lumberjacks brawl on the floor.
Winner: Marty Jannetty via pin fall
After the match, Jannetty is celebrating the win until Shawn Michaels super kicks Jannetty. Big Bossman rolls into the ring and chases Michaels to the floor. Michaels is not happy with Bossman getting directly involved with the contest.

Vince McMahon puts over the match just witnessed and really puts over Marty Jannetty’s win. Bobby Heenan believes that Jannetty didn’t win it himself, as Big Bossman got involved to help Jannetty get a tainted win. McMahon dismisses those claims saying that Jannetty was the one who pinned Michaels in the ring. Heenan gives up trying to persuade McMahon calling him a “hopeless cause”. McMahon hypes up the tag team main event which will see WWF World Champion Ric Flair and Sid Justice taking on the team of Hulk Hogan and Roddy Piper.

Main Event: WWF World Champion Ric Flair/Sid Justice versus Hulk Hogan/Roddy Piper
Hogan wants to get his hands on Flair, but Flair doesn’t start the match. Hogan and Justice lock up with Justice shoving Hogan down a couple of times. Hogan and Sid proceed to have a test of strength where Hogan has the advantage but is met with a knee lift to the midsection by Sid. Sid sends Hogan into the ropes but Hogan avoids a big boot and clotheslines Sid over the top to the floor with Sid landing on his feet. Hogan knocks Flair off the apron with a right hand as well. Sid and Flair regroup on the floor with Flair distracting Hogan to allow Justice to attack Hogan in a corner. Sid with several overhand blows and a scoop slam to control Hogan. Sid with a knee drop and chokes Hogan before tagging in Flair. Flair leaps off the middle turnbuckle and connects with a knee drop of his own and struts towards Piper taunting him. Piper tries to get in the ring and that allows Sid and Flair to double team Hogan for a few moments. Flair chops Hogan several times until Hogan reverses and chops Flair in the corner several times. Hogan with a big boot and Flair bails to the floor. Hogan follows and attempts to clothesline Flair but misses and clotheslines the ring post. Flair sends Hogan back into the ring and works on Hogan’s arm with knee drops before tagging in Justice. Justice with a hammerlock scoop slam to control Hogan and drops a leg to the injured right arm of Hogan. Justice signals for a choke slam but Hogan blocks and scoop slams Justice down. Hogan manages to tag in Piper who delivers several right hands to the midsection of Justice. Piper works on Sid against the ropes and eventually manages to tangle Sid in the ropes. Piper delivers several right and left jabs and boots to the midsection. Piper chokes Sid with his wrist tape until Flair enters and brawls with Piper until Hogan enters. Sid gets out of the ropes and works on Hogan and all four men are going at it. The referee is forced to call for the bell as he is unable to regain control.
Winners: No Contest
After the match, Hogan and Piper send Flair and Justice to the floor and taunt them as the crowd cheers them on.

Vince McMahon and Bobby Heenan go over the show. McMahon hypes up the Saturday Night Main Event taking place in March and the biggest event of the year, Wrestle Mania VIII taking place in April. Heenan goes on to say that only “real wrestling fans watch the WWF” and that is why Ric Flair is here and not some other champion. On that note, McMahon thanks everyone for tuning in and signs off.
