RAW vs TNA video quality help

Controversy Creates Cash
I know TNA and WWE RAW are both in high definition. I do not have an HDTV yet but I've all ways been able to see the improvement in quality since the switch over but recently I've noticed that RAW doesn't look great any more, in any way. It's fuzzy and all around shitty. Has any one else noticed this? I haven't watched RAW much since Jan 4th so that may just be the case, or it could be Time Warner hates USA network lol. I'm just wondering if any one can give me a definite answer on this problem.

If this is in the wrong area, please move it or what ever I considered it a general wrestling thread but I'm probably wrong

Since you don't have HD yet, I have to ask, are both Spike and USA networks analog how you get them, or is one analog cable, and the other digital? In general, digital channels, even if they are standard definition, are going to flat out look better than analog cable signals. If you have a dish, obviously, they would both be digital...but if you have a cable provider, it could be any combination, depending on how they are set up.

I can pretty much guarantee that it isn't the WWE or TNA, they both record in HD, and then for non-HD tvs, that signal gets cropped to fit standard TVs. Any fuzziness is probably dependent on how your provider then takes that signal and broadcasts it.

As someone who deals with televisions/providers for a living I couldn't of said it any better myself...Once you go HD, you will notice however that WWE gets slightly fuzzy in PQ during high explosive entrances(Kane/Batista when he was a face/and especially the opening pyro for Raw/NXT/Smackdown). Mainly that is due to smoke in the air and goes away after a few seconds. Overall, WWE is brighter than TNA in terms of PQ, but TNA has a more personal look to it, much like it would if you were in the Impact Zone. Reason being for that is they don't use nearly the lighting capacity of WWE, so naturally this would happen. Basically it looks the way WCW did back in the day, while WWE is a bit more turned up in terms of quality from Raw is War. Hope that answers you question...ps GO GET AN HDTV!!!! you don't know what your missing my friend. lol

Not everything is going to be 3D on the 3D T.V.

I've noticed that both look about the same on my HDTV, but that's mostly that I can't convince my wife I need the HD signals....
