RAW Performer of the Year

For many weeks, this idea has been rotating in the back of my mind. What if RAW had an exclusive award called the "RAW PERFORMER OF THE YEAR". Now, it won't be like the Slammy because it won't be based like the Oscar or Golden Globe or any other award functions. It will be wrestling style. The GM selects/elects 8 men who he thinks are the top 8 performers of the year (of course, they have to be the main-eventers). Then, the 8 men fight in rounds: Quaters, Semis and Final. And no, this won't be KOTR-style where all the rounds happen on one night. Here, one round will be on one night. Then, make RAW 3-hour on the night of the final. Have a up-coming mega-star or a guy whos recieving a major push (someone like Barrett or Morrison this year) win the award. If nobodys there in that category, then, have the top dog or the champ pick up the glory. Then for one whole year, that guy will be called the RAW Performer of the Year and carry that award to the ring everytime unlike the Slammys.

What do you guys think? Will it work? Feel free to bash me and to put in your ideas.

Due to it's similarities with King of the Ring, it's name, and the fact that it has the EXACT same purpose as King of the Ring- the idea is trash. It's the same thing, with ONE minor difference. Plus, there's no need for it. BTW, the Slammy Award winners DID carry their awards around. Also, why just Raw? Smackdown's the B-show, but you seem to be leaving them out on this gig for no reason. No reason to have a 3-Hour Raw based around 1 match either.

This reminds me a lot of your "Global Icon" gimmick thread, only slightly less stupid. Sorry dude.

How the fuck do you quantify someone as the best preformer of the year in a trounament that takes place over the course of one month?

If you push a young guy with it? So then someone who has little to no Main Eventing thst year is named performer of the year? In what fucking universe does that make sense?

Dude I'm sorry but no. Like everyone else is saying this is way too much like KOTR and it's just over kill. You mean to tell me that for one match RAW should be the length of a PPV? Come on man this is just bad and with all the other achievements a superstar can get it's just not needed.

Dang guys give him a break no harm was done. I have to agree though that this won't work. Correct me if i'm wrong i think they did a one night tournament ordeal last year to see who was the superstar of the year and Cena won it. But ya does sound to much like KOTR. Not bashing you by any means just stating my opinion.
