The Shield coming down through the crowd was fitting because they were coming from "outside", they weren't interviewed in the locker room before hand. They were cutting promos in the rafters.

Now, Reigns is interviewed in the back and walks upstairs so he walk through the crowd like he's in the Shield still. He can't let go.

If they gave him a theme all his own that sounded badass and a monster entrance with pyro or lasers of some shit and new wrestling gear it would be way, way easier to get him over.

True. But I think everything being done is to show that the storyline is about 2 guys. 1 goal. I don't really see any of it within the face/heel dynamic at all during this storyline...
