These chicks are as far away from ROCK STAR as you can come. This is, first of all on the BRATZ soundtrack. And theres some pre-digested guitar riffs in the hook. Is this all they think it takes to be a real rock star?

EVen the hook itself has the very cliche and typical ''Totally dude'' that all people who think ALL white people are surfers. It has a fake guitar riff in the song, and they think thats enough?

Probrably the biggest insult is this garbage. Lil wayne who can NOT play the guitar, pretends he can, and tries his best Good charlotte impression with the way this song sounds, Yet people buy into it...If Marilyn Manson made a Rap album...would they be so forgiving.....I highly doubt it.

And I know what people are gonna say. That they are saying the Rock star life style and such, but NO, Lil wayne debunks that, Prima J clearly states ''You hate cause Im a rock star'' in the hook.

So they are not only ripping off Rock/Metal clothing styles, they're taking what it truly means to be a rock star and perverting it. Im sure the legends of REAL rock would not appreciate this at all.

It's because to be a rock star means you've got widespread appeal, kids and guys want to be you and women want you. The term rock star just means you've arrived in a way. Being a rock star has all these cliches (groupies, drinking and drug use etc) but it's not frowned on as much say a rap star's cliches and the term pop star doesn't have the same appeal, this sounds more like you're catering to women and young children (although it's not the case)

He was exactly bang on, on this one. Being a "Rock star" really isn't about the music anymore, it means your "larger than life". It means that you made it big time and your getting all the women and all the money in the world. Let alone you have that cliche big ego and the flashy clothes that come with it.
Also isn't it wierd that Black people in general hated skinny jeans? usually Skater or "Emo" kids would wear them. But now it's like... "Hey dawg this is cool, let's wear some skinny jeans and have that style". By all means I have no problem if you like the trend, but to say one thing and do the other, after you bash a whole genre of people... thats a little hypocritical don't you think? lmao.
I know TONS of people who hated skinny's that are hip hopsters and hip kids, now they are wearing the clothing.

Just another random post by this random ass black man.

Alex is right on the money with this one. These days, being a rock star isn't about playing rock and sticking it to the man (School of Rock is awesome :D), these days it's just about being huge, and that you've made it into the mainstream. You don't see guys like Dream Theater or Rush being called rock stars, because they aren't known and liked by that many people compared to the mainstream artists. To be a rock star these days you have to get a number 1 hit at least. You have to have heaps of money, and you have to get all the girls swarming over you. Then you become a "rock star".
